Cain's bros furrowed. No matter how much he tried to remember where and when he had felt the dark and unknowenergy that he was feeling from the crystal.
A minute, two, then five. It had been five minutes when he started thinking back trying to remember it, but his memory did not let him at all.
Sighing, Cain looked at the entire sixth floor and could not help frown.
'I'll need to go back for now it seems.'
Cain neeed to g back to the Stan estate, knowing the ancient Dragon, he was sure that he woud have started looking for him by the time he realized that Cain had gone missing.
"Telph must be panicking right now."
Cain could see Telph panicking in his head. Smiling at the thought of a grown up man acting and panicking like a child made Cain be amused.
He turned to the door and left. It was not much of a problem to find his way up to the surface as the blue torches had led the way for him. The only entrance and exit of the underground space was behind the rock formations.
Cain needed to run around it in order o go back to where he had fought Cerberus.
It did not take him long to reach the border between the Great Lands and the land outside the city as he had already memorized the way from going back and forth multiple times between the two places.
With the use of his new found power it also did not take Cain too long to travel the miles of distance. With his current state it felt like everything was possible.
Well, not quite everything. cain would know about this fact once he arrives at the estate.
As a Stan, he was registered on the multiple barriers that Filzer had made and set up around the estate. Which meant that the people inside, who were busy packing up their things for another long search for him did not realize that he was already back.
Opening the front door, Cain was greeted by a messy reception. His brows instantly furrowed at the dusty place with dried flower petals from the decorations were all over the place and also the muddy footprints that looked quite fresh to him.
Shutting the door with as little noise as he could, and even going to the extent of using magic to block any sound without alerting anyone.
'Don't tell me that someone got into the barrier without them knowing? Is it an intruder?'
Cain walked like a cat, no, more like an assassin to the living room.
The living room was loud with all sors of noises like metals clashing adn some clinking noises as well as muffled voices.
It was really as if someone had sneaked inside.
'There is no way Filzer would let that happen though?'
Confused at the current situation, he took a quick peak at the living room, but to his surprise, the living room was in more of a mess than the reception hall.
Stepping out from where he was hiding, Cain had his eyebrow raised as he look at the mess that the person he initially thought to be a clean freak was the one creating the mess.
"What are you guys doing?"
Filzer, Alexander, and the last but not the least, Telph all looked in his direction.
The three of them had different reactions.
Filzer, who had tons of clothes in his arms looked at him with disbelief. Alexander, who was packing the clothes in Filzer's arm into a bag looked at him with wide eyes. Meanwhile, Telph who was running around while throwing all sorts of things into Filzer's arms had his jaw on the floor.
Well, basically the three had different kind of shocked reactions by his surprise entrance.
"What the hell?!"
Filzer could not help but curse at the sight of Cain.
The things on Telph's hands dropped on the floor as it slipped his fingers.
"Wh-who are you?"
Telph looked horrified. THat was when Cain realized that he had made a mistake.
Back when he was travelling back to the Stan estate, he had revered his appearancce to that of an adult's for faster journey. He did not want to run in his tiny legs as he wanted to go back quickly, take a shower and rest.
The sight that he had seen back at the reception hall earlier and the thought of another intruder inside the mansion made him forget that he was not in his teenager form.
Cain's gaze immediately flew towards Filzer.
'Help me!'
That was the message his eyes were telling Filzer. However, the latter did not only ignore him he also avoided his gaze.
'Help yourself. I don't know anything.'
That was what Filzer told him through his actions.
Gritting his teeth and shutting his eyes tight, Cain took a deep breath and looked into Telph's eyes.
He paid no attention to Alexander who was confused about what was happening and who was the man that suddenly appeared so quiet like an assassin.
"Telph, it's me, Cain."
Cain looked so serious. His eyes shoed no humor as they locked on Telph's eyes. The latter could only look at him in doubt and disbelief as furrowed his brows.
"My young master is not an old man."
Telph nonchlantly said. In that instant the three of them heard a quiet laugh.
They all looked at Filzer who whad already dropped the clothes in his arms on the dirty floor and was covering his mouth while his other hand was clutching his stomach.
Cain raised his eyebrow after seeing the ancient Dragon's shoulder moving up and down.
'This old lizard is laughing? He is laughing after refusing to help me?!'
Cain could not help but feel mad at Filzer. However, he soon needed to switch his attention back to Telph.
Remembering how he had called him an old man hurt his feelings truthfully. He thought of how he was the one calling Filzer and old man and felt like it was his karma for doing so.
"I never expected that you would call me an old man, Telph."
Disappointment was laced in Cain's voice as he ignored the three of them and went upstairs to his room.
