Prologue
Cain, he was the greatest warrior in the world of Niaterre.
Cain was the beloved son of a middle class family. He pursued to be Naiterre's King's greatest protector and become the greatest warrior.
He studied martial arts, mastered the life energy that every person has, but only those who have reached the point of realization or received enlightenment can feel their own life energy, which is also called 'ki'.
Cain tried his best to become the King's greatest protector and he was able to make that dream come true.
However, Cain's dream seemed to have become useless to him after his parents were assassinated. Although Cain became the King's greatest protector, he couldn't protect his parents from being killed.
After a few years, Cain became a well-known hero to the Naiterrians after winning a lot of wars and battles alongside the King. But after a few years Cain learned that it was the King who ordered Cain's parents to be killed.
Blinded with rage and sorrow, Cain killed the King and his direct subordinates without leaving a single one of them alive. The Naiterrians, who once saw him as a hero, now see him as a monster.
However, Cain didn't care about their opinions about him. Cain lost his emotions and claimed the throne.
No one took his side, no one took pity on him, no one loved him. That was what Cain thought before a girl fearlessly approached him and thanked him for saving her life once. Cain remembered her, she was the peasant who was abducted by slave traders.
From then on, that girl always stayed near him. She was always far away watching his back and supporting him secretly, and although she was secretly following him, Cain always felt her presence. But that girl was killed without Cain's knowledge. That girl's name was Eli.
A week after Eli died, Cain's heart stopped beating while he was asleep. The cause of his death became one of the mysteries in Naiterre. Even Cain, himself, didn't know the reason why he died. All Cain knew was that before he had gone to bed that night, he felt his body becoming heavier and heavier as if a large boulder was crushing him. And the minute he lay on his bed he couldn't even raise his fingers.
He laid down on his bed without moving an inch before he fell asleep and entering eternal slumber. The last thing he heard was a mechanical voice of a woman.
That was Cain's story, the former greatest warrior and protector of the King of Naiterre and became the monster in Naiterrians' eyes after killing the King.
Yes, that was my story. And now I am reincarnated to another body in another world.
