1021 Words
"Wait. Is that really Cain?" Alexander who was stunned since earlier was the one who broke the silence between the three after Cain had left a few moments ago. Filzer who was still trying his best not to laugh out loud took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. Fortunately, he was able to calm his draconic self and look at Telph's direction to explain the things that he needed to explain. "That is Cain. I can't tell you the whole details now as I do not know if I have the right to tell you. So, let us wait until he is ready to tell you guys himself." Filzer only told them the things that they needed to know and the things that he thought he had the right to tell before heading to the stairs. "Make sure to clean up the mess before tomorrow morning. And Telph," Filzer paused on his track and looked back at the two people on the living room who had a dumbfounded look on their faces. "I suggest making food for your young master first thing in the morning, after all, ahem!" Filzer cleared his throat and took another deep breath. The sides of his lips were twitching up. "You still need to apologize to him for calling him an old man." Right after the last two words left his mouth, Filzer could not stop himself anymore and laughed out loud. HIs laughter seemed to have shaken the whole mansion as Cain who was already chilling in the bath inside his room felt the vibration through the walls. Telph flushed after hearing what Filzer said, while Alexander flinched at how loud Filzer's laugh was. The night went smoothly. Telph cleaned the mess they caused in the first floor with Alexander's help before they both went to bed. Telph had awoken early in the morning next day to prepare breakfast. No, he woke up so early in the morning with the determination to make a feast with every dish that Cain loves and by the time the three had woken up he was drenched in sweat for cooking a ton of dishes and also from cleaning all the mess he caused in the kitchen. For the first time in a while, they were able to use the wide dining room. Cain was the last to arrive and when he sat on the table the food was still untouched and the three who got there first was talking about something that he had no idea what was it. "Ahem. Let us eat." Filzer announced after clearing his throat. Cain did not hesitate to dig in nor did he mind the table manners that he had a hard time learning when he became a King because he was too much hungry to give a damn. He had not eaten for days and he was about to croak last night by how much his stomach was complaining about hunger. He was actually happy that the food that he eats for the first time in days were his favorite foods. Although he was feeling grtefl andd all, Cain did not let his joy show in his face. No, rather, he had no time to show such emotions as he was busy stuffing his face. After Cain's stomach was satisfied he lifted his eyes and met Telph's chocolate brown pair. He sighed and grabbed the glass of wine on the table. When he was in his teenager form he did not even dare to drink wine or any alcoholic beverages in front of Telph, but now that he looked like his real age and the truth had been revealed, Cain could not care less about such small things. "As you can see, I am not actually a teenage brat but a thirty year old man. No, actually I am not just any human either." Cain sighed once more and within a second, his demonic mana seepde out from his body and waved all over the dining room. Telph and Alexander gasped and had a look of fear and surprise plastered on their faces. Alexander who had been there during the demonoid subjugation knew that feeling all too well. It was the feeling of the demonoid's power. Meanwhile, Telph who was an ordinary person who had no mana nor aura felt like he was suffocating from the demonic mana wave he had just felt. Filzer, who was sitting at the head chair had a serious look on his face. He looked at Cain only to find the latter looking back at him. "Are you sure about this?" Filzer broke the silence which was made after Cain made a sound barrier from his demonic mana. Last night when he had first sensed that something had changed in Cain, the ancien Dragon never expected that the change would have something to do with Cain's demonic half. Cain only nodded at him and turned to look at Telph and Alexander respectively. "I trust them." Contrary to what he said, Cain's eyes were filled with doubt and suspiscion. Telph could not help but frown. He had a lot of thoughts and feelings contradicting one another. "Since you can use magic, why don't you cast a spell to me to blow my body if I ever reveal your secret?" Alexander was the one to speak. He had those words lightly as if the one he laid in line was anything light. However, no matter how light his voice and tone were Cain saw the resolve in Alexander's eyes. He switched his gaze toward Telph who was looking at him with great sadness in his eyes. Water was pooling in the sides of his eyes before they dropped and rolled down his checks. "Young master, I never thought that you would suspect me of betraying you." Tears fell nonstop from Telph's eyes. Cain's eyes widened and abruptly push back his chair as he stood up. "N-no! That's not...!" Cain waved his hands in the air. Filzer watched him do it while shaking his head. "Ah~, look what you've done. You made the big baby cry."
