Chapter 18

Conny pov

This can not be happening Not right now, not when I'm running from the very danger that could hurt my sister, when he grabbed me from falling flat on my a$$ I felt the spar6ks right away, sh"t, Izzy was looking through my eyes, I could see her wagging her tail, she's never done that before, before I could stop myself I said those words, "mate mine." my fingertips went to my lips. I was hoping he didn't hear me, but I watched him smile, yeah he heard me. his hand slowly caressed my face he was so gentle, I heard Izzy purring loudly,

“Mate is not like a$$hole. This man is our true mate,. he will keep us safe, Conny.”

“I don’t know Izzy, what will happen if Reid finds us, He will kill us and then Cindy, she will get the worse part of it since i broke our bond,”

‘Conny, it's going to be fine. he's going to care for us and keep us safe, he wants us, his wolf told us we will be truly his luna, he will mark us first, and then mate us, he won't make us do anything that we do not want to do. he won't ask us to spy, he will love us and treat us like a queen,”

“I still do not know, but we will be careful, we will leave the first chance we get if he tries to do what Reid had done, I won't be any part of anything like that ever again,”

“So will you let him get close to us?”

“We will see Izzy, We will just have to be careful that's all.”

“Excuse me beautiful, But if your done talking to your wolf, i would like to speak with you now, but first, let's get you back in bed, so you can heal the right way, the nurse will have to change that bandage since you had bled a little” He lifted me up carrying me back to my room laying me back on the bed, the nurse that i now know as Flexi. walked into the room and lifted my gown up to show my left side, she asked me to lay on my side so i did just that. she hurried to change the bandage, cleaning the wound, before she put the new bandage on, when she was done, she put my gown back down over me,

“Listen young lady, I can't have you running around while you're still healing, so please just lay back so you can heal, okay luna?” I couldn’t say anything. I wasn’t a Luna, I was just trying to stay safe and to keep my sister safe. It's only been a day and a half and I already miss her, I just hope she is doing okay. All I could do was nod.

I laid on my side that did not hurt. I was scared but not scared. He moved a chair to the side of the bed. Took out his cell phone, punched a number and started talking.

"I want all my paperwork right now. I'll do it here in the luna's room. Make sure you bring her something to wear as well. Something comfortable. So she can have breathing room, no nothing big. I say a size 13 will do. You will get to see her when you come, now please hurry." he hangs the phone up.

"I'm sorry my darling. That was my Gamma. She's wanting to see her luna. We had killed the nasty rogues that had attacked you. Now get your rest. It looks like you need it." He was right. I did need it but in the back of my head. All I could think about was I needed to get out of here.

“My name is Ming, I am the alpha of the blue oval pack we have over two thousand in the pack with warriors, guards, and fighters, we have trainers and people that train every single day, we are a strong pack. and who ever is after you honey, he will have to fight the whole pack before he gets to you, why are you running from him if i may ask?” I laid there looking at him, I couldn't stop doing that. When I realized what he had asked me, I shook my head. then tried to lay on my right side so that it didn't hurt. I just could not talk about it right now. I need to learn to trust him first, but I will tell him this.

“He is after me to hurt my sister. we are twins, she is with her mate now. but he thinks if he hurts me it will kill my sister. wearing this necklace he will think i am dead. but he sent rogues to look for me, to make sure i am no longer alive, that's how i ended up here, running from them then ended up running into those rogues, i was trying to get off your land before anyone found me, but that planed went away as soon as i had to run right back onto it,” he was listening to every word i had said, he reached for my hand and held it so gently, i loved his hand it felt so warm,

"No one will ever hurt you or your sister again,"

Mariah pov.

I felt bad for Cindy, her sister running away and cutting their bond of sisters. But I could understand why she had to. She had to leave or Cindy would always be in danger. We have four more days before the party Conner has left once again. But this time I marked him, so we could talk to each other. And I could hear him while he talked to his father. His dad was crazy in the head, he wanted to get rid of our alpha and luna, then take this pack over and kill the rest of us. It doesn't make any sense at all. He would have no one but his people. It's strange. And the man keeps changing his mind whether he wants to get rid of all of us. Or just keep strong, he had left today, once again he told me he would be back tomorrow. Today he will be telling his father about the mating dance. He should come and bring the unmated with him. I doubt he would bring them. But we will see. Alyssa is getting where she is thinking about finding her mate. Shoot they could travel the world together and then go to college here so we could see each other all the time. I just can't wait to see my mate tomorrow. I hate it when he has to leave.

Conner pov.

I went through the gates of our land. I had Mariah mark me last night. And trust me the passion we shared. I could go on for days with her underneath me or her on top of me. But I had to come back here by myself and tell my dad that Cindy is now locked up because she started trouble. I'm supposed to go back tomorrow to see if I can get her out. I drove up to the driveway and got out. My dad was waiting for me at the door, that's a change. He's usually in his office. He must know something is going on. When I reached him.

"Conny is dead. I felt her death through the mate bond. I know Cindy had a strong bond with her sister, I'm sorry Conner," wait did he think Cindy was dead too. This is perfect. I don't have to tell him anything. He will find out at the dance I have to link Mariah to let her know about this. He was waiting for me to say something until he saw the mark on my neck.

"well congratulations son you did it. Did you have to use the wolfsbane?"

"No dad. I told you to give me time to put on the charm, I had her that night. And trust me I had a lot of fun with her. She's madly in love with me. She will be eighteen soon so we will be getting married. I can't just marry a child can I?"

"Everything is going according to plan and things are finally going my way. Now the next step,"

"The next step is the mating dance Jordon is having. He wants me to invite you. Since he thinks you have changed. He wants you to bring your unmated so they can find their mates." I saw a huge smirk on his face. I knew he was already thinking of things to do to their people. He is just one screwed up man,

"of course I'll bring some of the unmated. Let them have some fun while I destroy Jordons happiness."

"What do you mean by that dad?"

"Oh you will see in due time my son

All in good time. But until then. Head back there. Go shower change and pack a bag. Tell her you couldn't sleep another day without her. Tell her father I will be at the dance with the unmated. But of course. He won't have a chance with whom I will be bringing with me

Now get going. And do what I told you to do." I nodded and headed to my room. I didn't bother to shower. I packed a bag with clean clothes and left. I had to warn Jordon. He was like a father figure to me. He has been showing me a lot on how to be an alpha. I can't wait for Mariah to be there with me

Alyssa pov

I've been looking a lot lately at colleges. I knew everyone was happy now. But Cindy. Her sister had left, breaking the sister bond when she did. She is so heart broken, I feel so badly for her. So I tried to have her with the girls and I when we do girls day. This makes her happy. But I can tell when I look into her green eyes that she is still sad. I see a little anger in them as well. I know I can't be her sister. But I can try to help her. Helm is a good guy. He's been doing his best to cheer her up. I can tell he has fallen hard for her and she is the same with him. Mariah is smitten with Conner, she still gets upset when he leaves. I try to tell her he will be back. But it doesn't help when he leaves again. I have no mate. I still have two weeks until my birthday. I will be able to shift. When the dance has started. I will be able to find my mate. But I have to be careful with that as well because everyone thinks I still have not shifted. I'm really getting tired of waiting for my birthday. But dad says

"Honey, we must be careful. No one needs to know you shifted early. Wait a few more weeks honey. Then you will be able to shift in front of everyone. Everything is going to be okay." I knew everything was going to be alright. I'm just looking around seeing everyone shifting into their wolves and going for a run. So tonight. I had to wait for everyone to be in bed. Then I went outside into the woods to shift. I wanted Riot to be able to run and hunt. I shifted into her. I was now looking through her eyes. She was excited because she could go for a run, so I let her take control. She started running, jumping and hunting down a few rabbits, even a deer. She was getting stronger. I felt like we were being watched. She snapped her head up looking around and sniffing the air. She growled at something.

"What is it Riot?"

"I don't know but we need to get back. I think it's danger. I can't tell who or what it is."

"Then let's get back then. We don't need to get into fights out here. Dad would be pissed.'' We ran back to the house. I didn't shift back until I got into my room. The lights Were suddenly turned on, I jumped when someone tossed me my robe.

"I knew you could shift. Why didn't you tell me Alyssa?"

"Mariah I'm sorry. But my parents told me I needed to be careful. Was that you out there watching us?"

"Yeah it was. I went for a run. I smelled a scent. And I followed your wolf. Somehow I knew it was you."

"don't tell mom or my dad. They told me I needed to be careful. I guess I need to be more careful, Was anyone else out there?"

"I don't think so. I didn't smell anyone else."

Alpha Lexus pov

I was outside tonight, since the mating dance is in a few days, me and my pack decided to head to the hotel that was close to alpha Jordons land, Me, my beta and gamma are going tomorrow to speak with him, I was on edge wanting to find my mate, so I decided to go out for a run, my wolf was sniffing trees then running, I always let him be in control when we run, it's a way to get him stronger, but it was like he was after something. He would stop to smell something and then run in the direction of that scent, I started to smell a scent as well, I wanted to know where it was coming from, once we were close enough. I saw a beautiful white wolf with just the very tip of her tail was black, I stood there watching her, this wolf is my mate,

"She's young Lexus, not sure how young, but she's young, she had shifted when she was just a child, that I can tell, but I don't know who she is. I watched as the wolf raised her head sniffing the air, growlong, It was a good thing I knew how to hide my scent, or she would have found me, she turned running away. She must have felt something. Good, she didn't need to be out here late at Night. I don't know what pack she's from but I hope she will be there at the party, because I would like to know who she is, I turned running back to the hotel, i needed a shower and rest, but once I shifted back to my human form took a shower then laid in this bed, I was wide awake so I decided to play on my phone, I looked on social media then dating sites, I read some of these girls profiles then saw their pictures, I hurried to Uninstalled some of then, there was no need for them, I was done playing around, so I went to a few shopping sites, I was bored so I decided to buy a few things, a white marble desk for my office, a new king size bed with pillows and a light blue blanket. Two new dressers, a new laptop and a new phone. Women's body wash and shampoo, I was thinking about all the things a woman would need, I didn't need the same bed that I slept with many of the women on, so I linked my cleaners to let them know what was coming to burn the old bed, to please make sure everything was clean and put away, they said yes alpha then closed the link, I was tired now from all the shopping I just did, placing my phone on the nightstand I rolled over sleeping, but morning came all to soon, I was groggy and didn't want to get up but I needed to head to Alpha Jordons house, so i took a quick shower and got dressed, my Gamma and beta was already waiting for me in the lobby,

"Hey Jay hey Stony, ready to head out?"

"Yeah, We were just waiting for you. So who was the lucky girl this time that kept us waiting?"

"There was no girl at all. I just slept in that's but I did go for a run last night, I thinking found my mate, I need to see if she's at the party, I'm wanting to know what she looks like. Who's pack does she belong to.

"Wait, what? You don't know what she looks like?" Rey had ask,

"No, I only saw her wolf, she's all white but the very tip of her tail is black, she's a powerful wolf, I just don't know who she is,"

"Well, hopefully you will find her at the party," Stony head said

Yeah hopefully, let's get going before we are more late than we already are, we got into the car and headed out. It only took thirty minutes to get to the red oval pack, the guards opened the gates as soon as we pulled up, I guess Jordon already told them we were coming. We drove through the gate toward a long curvy road, if we didn't know what we where looking for, We would had missed it,

We turned at two very large oak trees that looked like they had been there for thousands of year's. We drove for about twenty more minutes full of woods, rabbits, deer and all kinds of other animals. Then I saw them. Wolves. Not the animal wolves. But the pack wolves. Running alongside the car. Leading us to the pack house. This is pretty cool. I need to start doing this at my own pack land. When we had gotten close they let us be. One howling then the rest did as well. I didn't know what that was all about until we pulled up at the pack house. Alpha Jordon was standing there with his very pregnant mate. She looked to be five months pregnant. Maybe less. We parked the car got out and headed up the stairs.

"Alpha Jordon it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I know we are a few days early. But I just couldn't wait to be here. For years I've been looking for my mate. I hope to find her here."/I shook his hand then I nodded and bowed my head to his mate.

"Hello Mrs Violet. It's very nice you.meet you as well. When are you due?"

"Thank you, I'm due in a few months. I can't wait. This one is very active and loves to kick his mommy." I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well let's head inside shall we, I'm sure Violet wants to get off her feet for a bit, alpha Jordon had said.'' We headed inside into his office. I sat down on one of the comfortable chairs. Did my Gamma and beta.

"So Lexus. I'm sure you will find your mate that night. How many did you bring? I might have room for them, instead of paying for rooms you can stay here" Alpha Jordon had said.

"We brought fifty of our unmated here. Males and females. I could link them right now letting them know to come to the pack grounds"

"We have plenty of room Lexus let them know we have rooms in the pack house for them. So come and stay here. Since you are the first to arrive." i mindlinked all of them letting them know to be here, alpha Jordon has room. But to be respectful on his land.

"Thank you sir. They should be here shortly." I heard his office door slowly open. I was thinking. Now who would just walk inside this office without knocking. Don't they have respect for their alpha. I watched as a not so young female walked into the office. She was smiling at Violet and alpha Jordon. That scent. I know that scent. I smelled it last night.

"Mom, Dad. You should see the nursery. I painted it a sky blue color with white clouds. It's perfect for the baby." my eyes went huge mom dad. I looked at Jordon and Violet. My mate is their daughter. Are they going to agree with this? I was hoping she wouldn't notice me. But she did. She slowly turned to look at me. I couldn't stand it anymore. I just couldn't tell him. What in the h3ll am I going to say to this man. She turned around saying excuse me then ran out of the room

I got up and ran after her. I heard footsteps behind me. I was sure was her father and mother.
