Conny.pov

It had been a day in a half with me hiding up in trees and caves, Rein had not given up finding me. He had rogues searching everywhere. I think he was just wanting to make sure I was no longer alive. I didn't know who's territory I was on. I was hoping they would just let me pass on by. I was trying not to be seen or heard. I knew they could smell a scent. They just couldn't figure out what it was. I finally hopped down from the tree and began my shift to run and get out of here before anyone could see me. When I was done shifting Izzy was looking around. She started walking then started running. She loved to do this. She was jumping over falling tree logs and even hunting a rabbit so she could eat. I knew I was hungry too. So I was glad she could eat. We were at the edge of their territory when rogues stopped us. I have never seen these rogues before. They had bitty red yes, and we're drooling from the mouth. s**t these were rogues that could not shift back to humans so they went a little crazy and lived as rogue wolves. I saw blood on their snouts. They must have just hunted and they were still hungry. They started circling around me snapping their jaws growling at me, one snapped at my leg and I kicked him in his head. He went flying back. I never went up against this many rogues before. I was trying to watch for my opening, I had no choice but to run back into the unknown territory, once I saw it I took it. I moved, ran, and jumped over the hugh ugly brown wolf. They jumped, snapping at my legs trying to pull me down. But I was too high up. I ran until I couldn't run any more, I was trapped they were circling me once again. I kept watching them. One jumped on my back biting into my skin. I yelped and howled out in pain. I got him off by kicking up. He went flying through the air with the skin in his mouth, and another jumped grabbing me by my leg. He almost ripped it out until I grabbed its neck and ripped it out. Another clawed at my stomach, cutting me. Blood was dripping everywhere, I knew I was losing a losing battle when I fell, when one jumped on me knocking me over and my vision was blurry. I was trying to fight, I then started to hear voices I didn't know where they were coming from. But I heard growling and bones breaking, yelping, someone screaming to get someone to the pack doctors to call the alpha. No no no this can't be happening. I felt like I was being picked up.

"no no please I need to leave, it's the only way to keep her safe." I didn't hear anything after that I was out, I didn't even know how long I was out when I awoke with beeping sounds. I blinked a few times, opening my eyes, I saw a heart monitor and an IV in my arm, I didn't see anyone, I was alone in the room, this was my chance to leave. I needed to get out of here. I grabbed the wires from the monitor, ripping them off of my chest. Then I grabbed the iv out of my arm. There was some blood but not a lot. Machines were going off. And very loud. I threw my legs over the bed and got up. I fell right when I tried to stand, so I tried again. I couldn't stay here. They would send me back. I couldn't chance that. I tried again and stood up on my feet. I was hurting all over but I needed to walk, once I walked I could shift and get out of this place. I was walking toward the door when the nurse ran into the room.

"What are you doing? You just got out of surgery, you can't be up walking around. The alpha will have our a$$es if he knew we let you up." I looked at this woman like she was nuts. Then I calmed down. And asked her.

"Please just let me go. If he knows I'm still alive, my sister and I would be in danger. I need to shift and leave please just let me go"

"Honey, you just had surgery not more than three hours ago. Let your wolf heal you first. The alpha will want to see you after you're better . Just give it a little bit more time."

"I can't, I have to get out of here. Just please let me go when I get to where I know he can't find me. I'll stop and rest, I promise."

"I can't let you leave honey. You will bleed out, then I'll really be in trouble."

"Listen, please just give me some bandages, I'll change it from time to time," the nurse was shaking her head, as she placed her hand on my shoulder, for some reason I felt safe and more calm now, but I was still scared I didn't know what to do, I wanted to leave, I just kept looking at the door wanting to go. I moved around her I was determined to get out of here, she couldn't stop me she could suggest but couldn't stop me, I wanted to leave, I got out of the room and bumped into something really hard, no no this is not happening, I almost fell back that's how hard I hit this wall, but it wasn't a wall, it was a person, I slowly looked up into the most beautiful brown eyes,

Alpha Ming pov

I was getting out of the shower when I got a mindlink from one of the nurses, she told me my mate was awake and was trying to leave, she keeps saying she has to or her and her sister would be in danger, I want to know who is after my mate why does she think she's in danger, I need to find out, I told her to try and keep her there, im getting dressed I'll be there soon, I quickly got dressed, then hurried out to the pack hospital, I made it just in time for her to be running out bumping right into me, wow she is beautiful, where has she been all my life. Before she fell I caught her by the arm making sure she didn't fall on the floor. I felt the sparks of our mate bond, and I know she felt them too, she slowly looked up into my brown eyes, I heard her gasp, her fingers went to her lips as she whispered no not right now, what did that mean?

"Hello my beautiful mate. Mind telling me why you wanted to run away from me right when I found you? Why are you so scared, who is after you my dear love?"
