Chapter 1 Jordon pov I was in the office and I felt like the paperwork was never ending. I finally said screw it and sat back in my chair. I knew I had a few meetings today. I would rather have the meetings any day than the paperwork, I was thinking of our daughter Aylssa, I can not believe she will be turning eighteen in a few months. When we found out we were having a child we were thrilled. When she was born, we knew she was special, so many had tried to take her away. But we didn't know how special she was until she turned six years old. We found out she could start fires. We wondered why something would catch on fire. And then we figured it out, she was outside playing one day. She looked at a tree and set it on fire just to watch the guards run to put it out. We told her never to do that again. It's dangerous. Though we had to tell her a few more times after that. When she turned ten, She was outside playing and one of the kids took her doll. She made the wind come to pick the child up. Thankfully, a guard was nearby and caught the little girl before she landed. When she was twelve she shifted for the first time into a pure white wolf. You see males shift when they are sixteen. Women shift when they turn eighteen. She shifted early. We had to hide the fact that she could shift so no one would try and hurt her or take her. She will be eighteen soon then she could show the pack her wolf. At the age of fourteen, she could hear the thoughts of everyone. It almost drove her insane. We had to call for help. We taught her how to block out everyone's thoughts unless she wanted to hear them, now she can read them and listen when she only wants to. I am not even sure that is the end of her powers. But she knows she has to hide them or others will come and try to either destroy her or take her away. She has three more weeks of school and then she will graduate. We are so proud of her, I hope she decides to go to college. We set up a college fund just in case. Unless she decides she wants to travel the world, then we will discuss that, when she turns eighteen, she will meet her mate if he's in this pack, I don't care who he is, as long as he's a good man and treats her right, I don't want to have to rip someone's head off, my thoughts got interrupted by a knock on my door, it was my first meeting I mindlinked Violet to let her know, she hurried into the office too stand beside me, you see the alpha is a female, she loves to flirt, so to be on the safe side Violet is in the same room so there will not be any rumors, I knew how Isabella was. I'm here to ask you for that much money, in return we will not try and take over your pack. You will not be targeted," I just looked at her like she had screws loose in her head. I knew she just did not just threaten me. I heard Violet growl, I knew she did not like this woman at all. Neither did I, Violet slowly bent down to look at this woman in her dull brown eyes and said. "So, if we do not give you this money, you're going to TRY to take over our home and target us to be killed. Did I hear that right?" I could tell she was a little stunned that Violet would have the nerve to speak to her like this, she held her head high and spoke to her. "Yes that is correct, now don't think of this as a threat. Think of this as a mercy killing. We will kill you out of pity. Take over your pack, then destroy what's left of it." Violet shook her head. Over the years I have known my wife. She had trained hard. Helped others to train and was loved by many. But one thing she will not stand by and do. And that is being threatened and the pack being threatened. That was the worst thing she could have done. Dragging her into the hallway, she was screaming to be let go but fat chance. Violet had heard enough. Since we only have three weeks of school left. They took it easy on us today. They said the next few weeks will be testing to see how we will do in college and what college we should go to. Either be a doctor or a lawyer. Or a Ceo of Big company. But I do want to go." "We are proud of you honey we truly are.'' Let's get inside so we can get things ready for dinner. Well that just a f****d up plan, I thought it I would just threaten them they would give me the money, That Viloet is a lot stronger then I thought she was. When she slammed the door in my face. I got up from the ground brushing myself off. I remember getting the dirt off my jeans and then woosh I was up in the air. I screamed bloody murder because it scared the h3ll out of me. I got on the phone and started ordering everything that I needed to rebuild the houses and the pack houses. Everything should be here tomorrow so we could start. i should had never went there, i was just trying to get a little extra cash to do this, but it didn’t work out, i minded linked all my workers and told them everything will be here tomorrow, and they should get ready to start rebuilding, they mind linked me back saying it was about time. Alyssa pov I knew something was weird when I got to school that day. Dad said he had a meeting with some woman that needed help. But the way he said it. I could tell he didn't like her very much. So all through the day I kept my mind open to my father just in case I needed to hurry home from school. Everything was going well. I did my class work and in the gym we trained. She was always helpful. She told me once I'm eighteen we can shift and show the pack who she is. But right now we needed to be careful and I agreed. During lunch I sat with a few friends Flexie and Jannice, we joked and talked about college. And what's next after college. Or I would like to find my mate when I am eighteen. If I do okay so. I'm still going to go to college so I can have my own life. just because I have a mate? It doesn't mean I have to put my plans on hold for him. We all agreed to that. When school was over I got on my scooter my dad gave me when I was sixteen. He said it's a start and when I get my permit he will get me a car. I said deal. I went inside and mom told me to rest up, I did feel a little drained, so I'll just take a shower and relax a little, when I was laying in bed I started thinking of my eighteenth birthday. When I am supposed to shift for the first time to let everyone see my wolf Riot. I know everyone is going to love her as much as I do. I know going to college is a big step. If I do not find my mate I will be set. I don't want my parents worrying about me. And thinking I won't be able to survive on my own, so going to college is a big step. I'll take classes for business then get a job. When I get enough money to buy a building and start my business, I know it will be hard at first. But I know I can make it work, all I need to do is hide my scent until I'm done with school. Then off to college I go.
