Bayley Rains wolf pov

I felt so weak I think the wolfbane and silver was getting into me as well. I needed to find a place to just lay down for a bit. I felt like I have been running for hours. But have I really. I was trying to find a place to lay down for a bit,I found two large oak trees side by side with large branches that was good enough to hide so I can rest, I slowly walked over there and just slumped down, I placed my head on my paws just watching the deer run by, I knew I needed to shift back to Conny. So I shifted into her, she softly cried out. As she laid there resting,

"Bayley, I don't think I'm going to make it much further, you will need to ask the moon goddess to put you in someone else before I die, it's my way to have you live." I had and would never think of such a thing, why would she think I could ever do this.

"Rain, you must fight to live, I will not leave you, you are my human." I was so tired, I'll just rest my eyes for just a little while.

Rain pov

I was in so much in pain, my face felt like it was on fire, i told Bayley to just pray to the moon goddess to put her into another human, because I think I wouldn't last that very long, everytime she made me shift, it hurt, all I wanted to do was just rest my eyes. I had to get up I had to find another spot to hide, we were too much out in the open, I reached for the tree, I grabbed onto a branch and stood up. Taking a look around I realized I had no idea where I was at, I found a small opening into another cave so I crawled into it, I didn't know it was just a huge bush that would only just cover me up. I laid there hoping no one would see me and just pass on by, then I heard and smelled them, wolves and lots of them, I was so very tired just so tired, my eyes were heavy, I was fading In and out that's all it was all saw was black

Alpha Chris pov,

When Skull told me that it was our mate that was hurt i hurried to I hurried and linked everyone to meet me in five minutes so when i got outside they were already out there, one even had the nerve to question me, but Skull came out and told him that she is our mate and we needed to hurry that she was hurt. I found a small cave that I knew nothing about that was on my land. It made me wonder how many rogues slept in this thing. I needed to destroy it or do something with it. I went inside, Skull smelled her scent right away and so did i, then i saw the blood, it was still fresh, i knew she left about fifteen minutes ago, I walked out of it and told them,

“We need to hurry, she’s bleeding badly, so whatever you do, do not scare her she might keep running, we shifted once again and ran toward the scent we were smelling, soon we came onto a clearing were huge tall oak trees were all around us, i knew this oak trees, sometimes, i know this is strange, but sometimes they move. but they move only to protect others from being attacked. only and if only they deserve to be protected. We slowly approached the trees. this was weird, this was on my land. my father once told me these trees were here before we were, they deserve respect, and trust me I did, i saw what they can do. We shifted back into our human form and started looking around, it seemed they knew we were looking for someone, so they left us be. we meant no harm and they knew this, there was a smaller cave over by the right, i knew no one could enter in there. only a small animal could,

“Alpha, Come here, I found something,” I quickly walked over to where Ark had called me. i didn't see anything at first,

“Look down Alpha, there's a foot and a leg that's attached to it,” i knew it was attached to it, Ark was being a smart a$$ about it, I moved the bushies carefully away so i wouldn't break them, I saw her lying there naked, bitten and cut up., she wasn’t moving an inch, though she smelled really weird, not like a rogue, but poison, someone poisoned her, I picked her up running to the pack hospital, when I got there the doctor was already there at the door waiting for me, he hurried to grab her and ran her to a room, hooking a iv and a flush to flush her system, he put a heart monitor on her as well, then he talked to one of the nurses.

“Make sure you clean her up but be careful, she is cut and beaten up, her throat is cut is well, so make sure you clean then stitch it up okay,” make sure you right down everything you do and if she moves or twitches, i want to know about it,”

“Yes doctor,”

“Alpha i know you do not want to leave her right now,. but please come with me to my office, we need to talk,”

We walked to his office sitting down, but I wasn't comfortable, so I decided to stand up. Something tells me I'm not going to like what he has to say. What I really wanted was to go back to that room so I can be with my mate. but Terry needed to talk to me, he needed to hurry up and tell me so I could get to her.

Alpha. she was poisoned, with Wolfsbane and Silver, who ever slashed her face like that, had it on their claws, they meant to kill her. not to mention rogues got ahold of her throat, she is barely breathing, alpha it's going to take a miracle for her. i think you need to spend as much time with her as you can, i'm not sure she will make it, I put a iv with a flush to flush the poison out. What you need to do is talk to her. She's in a coma. But she can hear you. Have Skull talk to her wolf, have him bond with her. I'm not saying this will work,. but anything is possible. just do not get your hopes up alpha,”

“Alpha Chirs. I'm sorry to interrupt, but I have cleaned her up and put a gown over her. I've stitched up her throat. She seems to be healing, but it's very slow. I'm not sure if the scar will heal. I think it is possible that her wolf is at risk as well.” the nurse had said to me. I didn't wait for any of them to say anything. I rushed to her room, got a chair and sat beside her. I held onto her hand, careful not to hurt her hand with the IV, I looked at her neck. It had a bandage around it. Her face had a bandage, i removed the sheet to see her legs, i saw a huge bite mark on her right leg. She had been through so much. I just wish she had been with me all this time. none of this would have happened to her. I stood up, placing her hand down on the bed. i reached to whisper in her ear,

“I know you do not know who I am. but we are mates. Please do not leave me right when I found you. come back to me beautiful.” i softly kissed her cheek. i took out my cell phone, and called my beta,

“Hey, bring me my paperwork and some clothes, and bring my mate some sweats, not so small. I think she is a 13 so bring those, you will get to see her once you are here. thanks man." I hung the phone up, putting my attention back on her. I wasn't about to leave her like this, i want to be the first face she sees when she wakes up.

Rain pov

I didn't know where I was at first, I felt like something was trying to pull me back. but i didn't want to go back, If pain felt like this. I didn't want to feel it anymore, I couldn't reach Bayley, I knew something must have happened if i can not hear her anymore. Could I be dead? I was in my favorite place by the lake. I usually come here to be alone to think. I reached down to play with the water with my fingertips. letting the water drip from my fingertips. I don't even know what or who brought me here. but i was so much at peace right now, there was no pain, no sadness. I think I'd rather stay here right now.

“Are you sure you want to do that? if you stay you might be hurting a lot of people.” i knew who that voice belonged to. It was the moon goddess. she always comes when we needed her the most,

Moon goddess Selena,

I was sitting up here watching everything that has been going on. And I agree with everyone, Reid has to go down. No matter how many chances I have given this man, he has proved to me that he is a bad seed. I sent Rain a powerful shewolf to try and help him change. but instead he had tried to kill her. Now she is weak. I need to get there before she decides to stay. Chirs is a powerful Alpha that needs her, Skull needs her, i had promised him that he will have a mate. “Rain honey, the leg will heal in time. your throat will, the scar might take a while, but everything will be alright. I know you have been through so much, I thought you could change Reid, but once you rejected him. i did not know he was going to go after you like this, but you are a powerful wolf Rain, Conny is still alive., but she has her true mate Ming, Cindy has her mate Helm, and Conner has his mate Mariah, It's time for you to know your true powers honey. “But what will happen if this scar on my face will not heal? Then what? Will he try to kill me too? WIll he dump me for someone that he's been wanting for so long? How am I going to be able to trust him When the guy I thought I could change does this to me?”

“Easy honey, Just do it. Just trust him. Because he's going to be by your side every step of the way, your wolf Bayley is working on healing you, She's getting stronger so she can heal, If you leave now, then you will never know what your mate could ever do, he's going to love you more then you will ever know Rain.” I could tell she was thinking about things. You must go back, to help him, And help Conner, how else will he know how his mother really died,” that got her right there, she witnessed, the murder, Reid paid the rogues to kill her, she didn't know at the time, but she saw the paperwork the money transfers, the time is now, She nodded,

“I will go back to help, but i don't know how much i could help, i only saw the paperwork and the money transfers, i saw the look on his face after the rogues took her down,i saw the look on her face once she realized he wasn't coming to help she knew that day was the end of her, How am i going to tell Conner all of this?”
