Alyssa pov.

We had gotten to the large building. I had to look up to it because it was that tall. There was so many people walking and rushing around to get to where they are suppose to go, Caddy hurried up to me when she saw me. She was wearing a pretty white dress with butterflies going down the middle. Her hair was in a French bride, I know she was going to grab me and go. She lives to rush about like the rest of us.

"Hey we need to get going to sign inn. And get down to the floor with our class."

"alright. Well lets get going." I hugged mom and dad and told them I will see them later. They had to go find there seats and I had to go sign in and get my gown and cap.

Conner pov

It's just a few more days and I had to go to this stupid fuxking meeting, I didn't want to do this. So I was going to try one more time to talk my father out of this. I walked in his office with my head held high. I sat in front of him. I waited until he looked up at me.

"What is if son. What are you thinking in that head of yours?" He was waiting for me to start talking. Taking a deep breath I let it out slowly. And then just started blurting everything out.

"Dad, I was wondering if we could just put this off for a few months. Or not doing it at all. I can deal without being alpha for a while but I just can't stand Cindy being hurt like this. I've done what you have told me and not see her until this is done. But isnt this enough. We have a stronger pack with over three hundred warriors. Guards and fighters. We even have strong trackers. What else do we need to be the strongest pack?" I watched him slowly look up from the paper work that he was doing. I thought he was going to agree with me until he stood up for. His chair,

"Son, you are right. We do have one of the strongest packs around. But I want it to be stronger. Then the other packs. And if you don't want to do this. It's easy Conner. It's so easy to make this decision. Either I could kill Cindy. Or better I could banish you both and hunt you both down and make you watch me kill her. You said you would do this. It is only for one year son. Just one year. I will have his pack. And banish both of them. It's easy. Your meeting is on Monday if you do not go. Then you will have made your decision." His eyes had clouded over for a few minutes. Then came back to normal,

Oh by the way, Cindy will be locked in a cell until Monday. Once the meeting is over. She will be let go." I rose from my seat with so much force that the chair went backwards,

"YOU DID WHAT!? WHAT THE H3LL

DID YOU DO FATHER? WHY DID YOU PUT HER IN THE F"CKING CELL?" He came around that desk so fast he had me against the wall with his hand around my throat raising me up from my feet. He said through clenched teeth and so much anger.

"Because I am the fu:King alpha, that's why. I asked you to do one thing, Conner. Just one thing, and you try to define me. You marry this b***h or I swear I will put her in a cell with the female rogues. You know how they are. They will rip her limb from limb, I wouldn't have to do anything. It will be all their fault. She tried to escape. But one of the guards came and saw her, without thinking he put her in the cell with them. How could that be? We show up and she's dead. Now do I make myself clear Conner. Do this or she's gone." he dropped me on the floor. I looked up at him with so much hatred in my eyes for him. I was becoming just like him. And that's what I did not want to do, I didn't want to become him. I stood up on my feet. Looked him dead in the eyes and told him.

"Once this is all over and done with. Once this year is up. Screw being alpha. I'm taking Cindy, and I am out of here. I will not be in the same house as you." I shoved passed him, almost knocking him over. My wolf Kon was pissed and growling. He wanted to come out and rip his throat out.

"All in due time, don't worry all in due time. But we need to be careful. Until then,"

"I know Conner. But he's just a cruel man. I want to kill him."

"All in due time my friend all in due time" we left to head to the dungeon I needed to see her. To make sure she was okay. The guard led me to a cell that had a small window, it looked like she even had a bed in there. What the hell did my dad have plans for? He let me inside. Cindy ran to me slamming herself against me. I held her tightly as she cried her eyes out.

"It's okay baby. He will let you out when I'm done with this stupid meeting Monday. Listen, I told him after the year is up. We're leaving the pack. That's it. After this I want nothing to do with him or being alpha." she nodded as she tried to clean her face off. i knew she was scared she's never been down here before. And I don't blame her for being scared like this, rogues try to escape all the time. They end up killing guards and if they are bloodthirsty. They break into the other cells and try to kill the others. So we end up putting silver chains on them so they are unable to break free.

"Listen, I have to go okay. But ill be back I promise. After tomorrow we'll be together. I'll make a way for us alright." I softly kissed her, I didn't want to leave. But I knew my dad. I knew he would do anything in his power to keep me under control that's including hurting her. Kissing her one more time, I knew I had to go. I hurried out and left. I stormed back into the office. And looked him dead in the eyes. And said

"If you hurt her in any way. If you try to do anything to her. Goddess help your soul because I will rip you apart. I'll do this for you. I will do the one year thing for you. But I will not stay in this pack house after the year is up. We will go and we will reject this pack" he smirked right at me and stood up,

"Finally, you're becoming a man and standing up for yourself. About damn time. Conner. She is no good for you. She keeps you weak. Worry about yourself. You have until Monday afternoon to come back here and tell me that you claimed her as your mate. Is that clear?" I rolled my eyes. I didn't say one thing to him. I turned and walked out, I've had enough seeing his face for one day.

"Is everyone working to plan?"

"Sure is. He doesn't suspect a fu"king thing."

"Good, soon we will be running the strongest packs out there."

Alyssa pov

I was so excited after it was all said and done. I was tired wearing these shoes and my feet hurt. Now we have to start getting ready for this mate dance thing dad said that he ordered more tables and chairs. Mini bars and the band. I wonder what name he hired. I asked him and looked at him horrified

"Dad. That band was like back in the sixties, come on now." Mom started laughing. I canceled the band and hired a better one. Instead of playing stuff like I love you you love me stuff. We will be dancing instead of covering our ears. We got home and I helped mom out with the nursery together while dad was in his office doing more of the paperwork. They have gotten better since they had talked, after we got everything put together. Mom went to see dad. And I went to see my friend Mariah, she just got back from a trip with her parents. She's my best friend. And we swore if we hadn't found our mates by the age of twenty. We would move in together and pick a chosen mate. I walked over to her house and she pulled me in for a big hug.

"Girl what took you so long. I'm sorry I didn't go to your graduation. I just got back home. Come one let me show you what I got for you."

"You didn't have to get me anything. You know that."

"Yeah I do. But I wanted to." Mariah is a sweet girl. She had long dark hair like me. Her eyes were brown. She was about 5.6. She was a warrior and a very good one. She was wearing jean shorts that had rips on the bottom and a pull over shirt. And of course she was barefoot. She hated wearing shoes just like me, we went upstairs up to her room and closed the door. She showed me all the clothes she had gotten and threw me a pair of ripped jeans and a beautiful pink top that went with it. With a pair of knee high boots.

"This is your graduation gift. I hope you like them"

"trust me girl I do. I love them, thank you so much listen dad has a meeting Monday and he wants me there for some stupid reason. You want to join in on the fun.? I'm sure he won't mind, it's some young alpha that wants to talk about a treaty or something. But I'm not sure yet. But the beta and gamma and mom is going to be there as well, so I'm sure a warrior being there the jacka$$ won't think nothing of it." We laughed, because some of these alphas think thier sh"t don't stink. And I hate it.

"Yeah, I'll join in on the fun. Why not? Should be fun watching your dad make this young pup shake in their boots."

"Alright I need to get going, " I told dad I would help get everything ready for next Saturday. Maybe you should find a dress. I'm going, you should too. A live band mini bars. Could be fun." she rolled her eyes and said sure fun. I chuckled, hugged her and left. I hope this week goes by fast and this party. I want to start looking for a college to go to. Some place close to home. That way I can still come see my baby sister or brother. The next few days went by fast and Monday came. Mom told me to dress professionally and agreed to have Mariah in the office to watch on. She said

"Wear slacks and a white top with dress shoes. I could wear my hair however I want." agh I hate dressing up for these things. But like mom said we have to be professional about things like this. Even when we don't like to. Even Mariah had to wear something perfessonal. I knew she hated it, she we more of a tomboy. Dad said the alpha would be here any minute now. I can't wait for this to be over and done with.
