Chapter 5

Alyssa pov

A few days later I was back at school. Everyone was on edge. Due to the rogue attack that had happened. Only a few died. And we had a memorial for them. One was a friend of mine, her name was Trixi. She was just coming from the second period when she got attacked. That's when the mind links begin. I was in fourth period and the teacher, Mrs Garret, had been talking about the end of the school dance. That had been canceled. No one was in the mood for it anyway ways. We have only four days left for school then the graduation for us seniors. It was just everyone was on edge jumping at any kind of noise. They had counselors for anyone that wanted to talk. Some of the young wolves that haven't shifted yet went to talk to them. I just wanted the day to end so I can just go home and hide in my room, but hiding isn't going to do any good, my parents would just come knocking to get me out of my room, plus I told mom I would help her pick out some baby stuff on a shopping sight, I know she was just trying to include me as well, she had dad the other day picking out cribs and rocking chairs. Poor dad, by the time he got home he was wore out. I felt so sorry for him. When lunch time arrived. I bought an apple, a muffin and a water. I really wasn't hungry but I knew I needed something in my stomach. I went outside to sit underneath one of the trees that was outside. It was a tall oak tree. I looked it up one day and it said that oak trees could live for over fifty years even longer. I wondered how old this one was. I knew a family of squirrels lived in a few birds. So when I did come out here. I always leave a few crumbs for them to eat.

Conner pov.

I've been avoiding my mate for a few days now. I really didn't want to tell her what dad is making me do. But I knew I needed to. So after I trained in the office and did a few video call meetings. I knew I could not put this off any longer. Dad asked if I had told her yet. When I told him no I been avoiding to do that. He demanded me to tell her. He was angry. He told me if I tried to back out he would put her in the cells with the rogues. he would make sure that she is tortured and abused,

"FINE, STOP PESTERING ME!" I stormed out before he had a chance to say anything. I found her before she walked into her house. One look at her I knew I was in trouble.

"Cindy im sorry, please talk to me."

"Why should I talk to you. You've been avoiding me, so give me a reason to talk to you."

"I don't know what to say, I guess I've been avoiding a conversation that i been needing to have with you. Can we just go inside. You know there are to many ears out here."

"Fine, but this better be good. And it better be with lots of apologies." she opened the door to let me walk inside. When she walked in behind me she slammed the door shut. She didn't move from the door, her arms crossed and she had a mad look on her face. A few strands of her blonde hair had fallen over her face. I wanted to tucked them behind her ear. But she would just back away from me. I sat down on the couch. My head in my hands I really had to tell her didn't I? well. Here I go.

"Cindy we need to talk honey,"

"About what? Are you here to reject me?" I shook my head no got up and held her in my arms not ever wanting to let go, she was shaking and I was trying to comfort her,

"It's not that trust me it's not, but my father is making me do something that I don't want to do."

"Well tell me. I'm sure I can handle anything you have to tell me."

I'm not so sure about this. But I do have to tell you before next week is here."

"Will you stop putting it off and just tell me Conner, I can handle it,"

"My dad wants me to…"

"Conner for crying out loud. Will you just tell me!"

Dad wants me to Marry Alpha Jordons daughter for a year so he can take over his pack. He says if I don't do it. He will get rid of you. He will kill you Cindy!" I watched as her mouth dropped open and her hands went to her side. I knew this was bad. This was very bad. I didn't know what else to say.

"Honey, I don't want to do this. But he told me he would kill you. He knows when I become alpha I was going to mark you and make you my luna. But he said he will forbid me to be alpha. And destroy you. I don't know what else to do." all she did was nod. Then started talking.

"We could run away Conner. We could leave tonight and never come back. We will just change our names and go to another pack. He won't be able to find us if we reject him in the pack. I watched as she ran to her room. I followed her. She tossed a bag on the bed and started to pack her clothes in it.

"That's it. That's what we would do. We will runaway as far as we can go, we could leave the state Conner." I placed a hand on her arm. I knew he would find us even if we did reject him and this pack. He would find us and destroy us. I've seen it before. He's a tracker. And she knew it as well. When she turned around to face me she was crying she threw herself in my arms. Knowing we where stuck here.

"Baby, it's only for a year. I promise you. I love you! I am in love with you! After one year. I will devorise her and dad will have the pack, I will become Alpha here and make you my luna."

"But a year is such a long time baby. What happens if your feelings change for me."

"my feelings will never change for you. You are my mate my forever, you will never have to worry, this I promise you. I will make her hate me so much that she will be the one that will reject me. Now come on. Unpack your bag. Better yet, I grabbed her and put her on the bed. I took her shorts off kissing up and down her legs my fingers went to her entrance making her wet. Her moans were driving me crazy. I took off my jeans and climbed on top of her, I slide my co"k into her lifting her legs over my shoulders so I could go into her deeper. Damn she was so tight. I pounded her like there was no tomorrow. When we where done. I held onto her through the night. How am I going to last a week without her in my arms.

Alpha Rein pov.

I was pacing back and forth I knew I had to link this person. If I didn't I won't know if it worked or not. How could I know anything with out this persons help. Then there wont be nothing. I had a little spy in my pack that would go to other packs to spy for me. I mindlinked them,

"Hey! Did it work?"

"Yeah it worked. Took me some time but it worked."

"Good. It's just a a matter of time now."

Alyssa pov

Oh my goddess, finally. It was finally time for school to be over, we would have a week of rest. Then Saturday would be graduation, in each class. I hugged each teacher. And told them they were awesome. They hugged me and told me good luck in the future. When the last bell rung to go home. I got up and left. But to my surprise when j got outside my parents were there waiting for me. I didn't think nothing of it. They probably wanted to surprise me. I hurried over to them hugging them both.

"Mom, dad, what are you doing here?"

"Well honey, we wanted to surprise you. We promised we would get you a car once you finished school." my dad had said. They moved out of the way. I saw a beautiful green jeep. My mouth dropped open,

"really for me?"

"Yes honey, but we are going to the Dmv right now so you can get your licenses, mom said"

"Alright lets go I'll drive."

I'll see you both at the house. I have a meeting with alpha Gray." he kissed us bye and watched us drive away.

Jordon pov.

I knew we was going to surprise Alyssa with the jeep, but I wasn't about to get in the jeep and have her drive. Not yet. If I wanted the sh"t scared out of me. I would go fight a grizzly bear. I rushed home to get ready for the meeting. Hopefully this will be fast. And I can relax before they get home, I got home just in time to get the paperwork done for the meeting. My beta Lark came into the office to announce Alpha Gray was here, he sat down in front of me and my beta sat down on the couch. Of he only knew what I do to Violet on that couch he wouldn't be sitting on it,

"Alright Alpha Gray, you wanted this meeting. So how can I help you today?"

"Alpha Jordan, I'm here to find my mate.im hoping that one of the she wolves here could be. I have been around the country and back looking for her, either she's dead or just not born yet." I was wondering if you would consider having a dance to invite people to a ball so I could see if I will find her." I thought for a moment. Shaking my head. I wasn't even sure if I was ready for my daughter to find her mate. But I knew it was coming. And I will hate it. I sighed and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding inn.

"Alright, I do that. I think instill have the tables and chairs that was at the last dance. All we will need is the food and the invitations. When would you like this dance to be held?" I could tell he was thinking about it hard. Then he looked at me

"Alpha Jordon I know your daughter will be graduating this Saturday so how about a week from Saturday that way you will have enough time to get everything up and going and the invitations out. And I can start getting ready myself. I'm sick if these females always throwing themselves at me wanting me to mark them, and make them my luna. I am looking for a good woman. One that can put me in my place when I need it. A woman that will keep the pack in their place, and to stand up for herself. One that will rule beside me," I had to think hard on this. Most of the girls here are mated so I will have to invite two more packs here,

",Alright Alpha Gray, one week from Saturday. We will have the party. We will have you up on the balcony so you can watch to see if you can find your mate."

"Thank you Alpha Jordon, for seeing me today. I can't wait for the party. I'll have some of the unmated come as well maybe they can find their mates here." We shook hands, I walked him to the door and watched him leave. I looked at my Beta

"How the h3ll am I going to explain this to Violet? The last mating dance we had was the night I took her as my mate. And that was over eighteen years ago."

"I don't know sir. But I don't think those tables and chairs are suitable. You need to order more." I nodded and went to the computer I ordered more. But the tables will be marble this time. The chairs we could always get more. I ordered a band, mini bars and so much more. This will be next Saturday, Violet is going to be in an uproar on this. My Gamma Daisy was Violets Best Friend she started laughing,

"She's going to think it's for Alyssa, Jordon, and you already know how she's going to feel about this.

"Don't you think I know this." and here they come. I can hear the jeep coming up the driveway. Alright I need to do that alone. You to scoot, they shook their heads.

"Not I'm your life. I am going to have a front seat on this. They both sat down on the cough. I facepalm my head. Those two o swear.

Violet. Pov.

Right when I got out of the jeep I knew something was up. I could smell it in the air. But I was just too excited right now, Alyssa got her license. And she wanted to show her father, so we parked the jeep and got out. We hurried inside, alright I could smell him right now he was nervous. But nervous about what? What did he do now. When we walked in the office. I saw my best friend and his best friend sitting on the couch smirking, then I looked at Jordon.

"Alright, What did you do Jordon?"

"He chuckled and told me about Alpha Gray wanting to find his mate, he asked if we could hold a mating party here for him and before you start. I have already ordered the table and chairs and the mini bars and the band. Alright sent out the invites to three other packs and he had said he will bring his unmated here so they can try to find their mates. And before you even try to think about it. It's not for Alyssa it's for Alpha Gray.* both Daisy and Lork started laughing because he was red in the face and said all of that in one breath. I had to admit. I was thinking it was for Alyssa. But since he explained it like that. I'm good with it.

"Alright, so we are going to need food and decorations. You got everything else. I'll deal with the rest. But we have two days before her graduation, so I'll have the cooks make a menu and start on it. Alyssa you will need to find a dress. You're still seventeen so you wont feel the pull of the matebond yet. Thank the goddess. But you can come and enjoy the party too. She nodded with excitement, alright. Well if there is anything else. I'm going to rest now." we all shook our heads as she left.

"Dad, you are lucky. I thought she was going to strangle you."

"Yeah, I thought so too."

Conner pov

After I had calmed Cindy down, I had made my plan for the meeting on Monday, I am hoping I will get to see this girl while I'm talking to Alpha Jordon. And then boom I will claim that we are mates. I will swoon for her. Fee weeks and before she turns eighteen I will marry her. By the time she realizes we aren't mates. It will be too late. We will already be married. I was planning on telling her about my fathers plan but I don't want her running back telling her dad. So that was a no go on that. I'm really hoping things are going to go well in this, maybe she. Believe me just say I hope she does. I saw Cindy a few more times, reassuring her that things will be alright, my feelings will not be changing for her. She is my mate and will be Luna as soon as I am alpha. And get dad out of that house. He has been on a rampage ever since mom died. And I'm not so sure it was a rogue attack. I always wondered about that. Because mom had always been an awesome fighter and warrior. She has always trained with everyone, how could four rogues sneak up on her the way they did and kill her the way they killed her. I knew dad was trying to get to her. But I saw the look on his face. He had me hidden even thought I was sixteen and I could fight, he ordered me in the safe room with the rest of them. I watched the cameras. I watched how he had acted when the rogues got to her. He wanted to get to her. But he wasn't trying hard enough, I remember how he held her when she was laying there trying to breathe. It was like he really did not care. He wanted the rogues dead. So the guards and the rest killed all of them. If my father had my mother killed. He will deserve what he will get from me. I will throw him out of the pack house and banish him from the territory, I don't care what he does next. Just as long as he is not in my face. The last night I spent with Cindy was two nights ago. I held her tightly in my arms. I listened to her breath and her light snores. I have to do this for her to keep her safe. Now I'm in the office doing paperwork and trying to keep my head on right.

Alyssa pov

It was finally Saturday the day of my graduation, I had this light blue dress that went to my knees. My hair was pulled up in a cute messy bun, hoop earrings on and a necklace my parents gave me for a gift. I was so ready to get this done I slipped on my shoes, then headed downstairs where my parents are waiting for me. My mom wax wearing jeans and a button up blue shirt, her hair was over her shoulders she wasn't showing just yet but she was sure having morning sickness, my dad was wearing blue jeans in a button up black shirt,

"Alright young lady this is your day, letshet going, its ten am and we need to be there before twelve to sign you in Dad had said"

"Alright dad let's get going," we left and sped off, I don't want to be late to my own graduation.
