I've seen all of my patients for today, and every time a new one came in I felt Logan's eyes on me as if studying my every move. I couldn't blame him for the way he was acting. How I deal with my patients is very different from how I deal with the people around me. I'm also very different in how I act towards my parents. Once all of my consultations have finished, Logan stood up and approached my table. "Would you like some coffee and pastries before your interview?" he asked. "Sure." I said. "Grab yourself a cup as well. We might be all night." My eyelids felt heavy and some coffee really would be nice. I won't be able to make it to the interview later if my brain is not working properly. I guess having a personal assistant isn't so bad after all. Logan just smiled and nodded at me as he headed out of the clinic. I reclined the chair back and plopped myself comfortably on the chair. I closed my eyes but I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. I have a lot of things that I have to think about. I sighed heavily to myself and adjust the way I was laying on the chair. Come to think of it, I haven't called my creators in a while. Maybe I could stop by tomorrow before I head to the mental institution I was asked to stop by as well. After what seemed to be a few minutes I felt hands urgently shaking my shoulder. I quickly sat up and looked around to find Logan looking at me. On the table was my coffee and his. I furrowed my eyebrows, why did he have to wake me up so urgently for. "What?" I grumbled. "You fell asleep. We have 30 minutes to get to your interview." he hurriedly said. "What?! Why didn't you wake me up?" I glared. "I did. We did. We've been trying ever since I came with coffee." he frowned. When I assessed the room, I did find two nurses standing by my door. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in and out. "Did you at least order a car service?" I questioned. "I already did a couple of minutes ago. He'll be here any time soon." he said. "Good." I replied. A few more minutes later Logan tells me that the car service has arrived. I grabbed my coffee and headed outside with Logan and slid in the car. He sat beside me. His scent was filling my nostrils. He smells so masculine. I found myself unconsciously leaning closer to him, I cleared my throat, looked out the window and drank my coffee. "Are you still tired?" he asked. "Hmm? A bit. I can manage." I said. I looked at him. "How long was I asleep?" "About an hour, Dr. Burton." he said. "All the nurses were confused how easily you fell asleep earlier." "Hmm, why is that?" I raised an eyebrow. "They said you never sleep no matter how tired you are. Maybe you felt comfort and you let yourself ease up." he shrugged. I didn't answer him. I finished my coffee and ate the bread Logan bought. We arrived at the place and I was immeidately interviewed. During the interview I couldn't help but wonder about what Logan had said. Was I really that comfortable that I was able to sleep? Once the interview was over, Logan approached me with a bottle of room temperature water. I opened the cap and took a sip of the water. "Is there something wrong, Dr. Burton?" he asked. "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "Ah, sorry. You just seemed like you had something in your mind while you were doing the itnerview." he stammered. "I'm fine. I was just thinking about visiting my parents tomorrow before heading to the mental institution." I said. It was not technically a lie. "Do I just meet you at the institution?" he asked. "Do you even know where the institution is?" I asked. "I can book a car service." he said. "Not a lot of car service will take you there. The institution gained a reputation of taking in violent patients. A lot of drivers have been hurt because the patient managed to get out." I said. "That sounds dangerous." he quietly said, clearly looking worried. "Nobody can touch you there if you're with me. You are coming with me to my parents and I can borrow one of their cars so we can drive there. Alright?" I absentmindedly said. Logan looked at me in shock, and that's when I realized what I had just said. I felt heat rise to my cheeks and my eyes partially widened. "Thank you, Dr. Burton." he stammered. "You can stay with me at my house because we're going to leave early." I stated. "But I thought I'm not going to stay with you yet?" he asked. "It's just for tomorrow because I can't afford you not waking up." I said deadpanned. "Should I call for car service now?" he asked. "Yes." I nodded. A few minutes later, Logan and I were on our way to my house with the car service. "Dr. Burton, I was wondering if you knew how to drive why do you still prefer booking a var service?" he asked. "Driving is also exhausting. Considering that I'm already tired from the hospital, driving will only push me further into the corner of exhaustion." I said. "That makes sense. I'm sorry if I pried too much." he smiled. I felt my heart squeeze when he flashed me that smile. I hummed out a response and looked out the window. I watch the city lights pass by and the car drove by. I don't know what has gotten in to me today but Logan is affecting me more than it should. I even fell asleep in my office. This is going to be a long week.
