"Are you sure you'll be fine travelling on your own sweetheart? I can have Abel accompany you. Just say the word and we'll have him a ticket in no time." As I pull back from Mrs Parker's tight embrace, I release a chuckle and slowly shake my head. "I'll be fine, auntie. Don't worry about me." Her lips were already trembling from the start, eyes brimming with crystals just waiting to stream down like a running river. My respond was enough to finally snap the string of whatever was holding her tears back. A little smack upon Mrs Parker's hand coming in contact with my arm resonates our little circle, making both Loona, Mr Parker and Abel flinch. I wonder why they're surprised honestly. Have they never seen Mrs Parker act like this to me before? Then again. I suppose they haven't. Ignoring the stares coming the three set of eyes, Mrs Parker throws herself at my body again to lock me between her arms. I stop myself from stumbling and attempt to ease the situation by rubbing a comforting hand behind her. "Silly girl." She sounds like she's in the verge of crying right now. "How can you tell me not to worry abot you? You're like a daughter to me. Don't ever say such nonsense again." "Honey. I think it's time to let her go now." Mr Parker to the rescue. I send the man a thankful smile as he gently pulls his wife back to his side. Once I'm free to move around, I look up and give everyone a meaningful look of gratitude. Mrs Parker's eyes have gone red from the tears falling from her face. And she's not even trying to stop them, dismissing the handkerchief Mr Parker's trying to give her. "Guess this is it. For everything, thank you." There's so much to say but so very little time. I can't begin to describe how grateful I am with how they've really gone out of their way to personally send me off. Loona snickers under her breath before suddenly yanking me by the arm. Cut off balance, I somehow strategically land on her instead of falling to the side. At the same time, she wraps her arms around me and easily secures my stand. "You'll only be gone for six years. You're talking as if you'll never come back." If only she knew how much truth lies within her words just now. I wrap my arms around Loona too, knowing this will probably be the last time I'd hug her. I'll sure miss this warmth. Just then, the intercoms ends our moment by mentioning the number of my plane. Loona let's go and turns me to face Abel by the shoulders. And I stand still, unable to move. He's been quiet the whole time and It doesn't help at all that I can't tell what he's thinking. I don't know if he's mad at me for leaving. Or wants to lash out at me - I don't really know. "Are you just gonna stand there or hug me already?" I'm really sorry. No matter how much I want to reveal it, I just can't. "I'll miss you." My voice comes out muffled by the fabric of his shirt. Having his arms around feels like a piece of a puzzle had finally found its rightful place. "I'll miss you the most, El." He runs his fingers along my hair before pulling back to look me straight in the eye. "Make sure you come back soon okay?" I can only smile as a respond. A frown falls upon his face from my lack of answer and places a gentle kiss on top of my forehead. I feel his arms wrap around my waist one more time seconds before I'm waving my last good bye and boarding the plane. I lay back on my seat and close my eyes shut, surfacing the image of Mrs and Mr Parker, Loona and Abel in my head. Now that I'm alone, I can easily let my emotion sprawl around and release the tears I've been trying to hold in the while time. It hurts. I don't want to do this but I have to. This is for the best. If I stay, I'll get more attached to him only to suffer greatly in the end. It won't be long. Before he completely forgets me. That secret passed down from my late ancestors down to their descendants, is non other than an unfair curse. Mother had told me all about it when I revealed who Abel's mate was. I can never forget the trembling in her words when she asked if I could move back with them. At first I was confused and eventually addressed the change of her tone. But instead of a direct answer, I was a bit taken aback by her next words. "Remember that story I used to tell you back when you were young? About the boy and the girl who were in love? At the cliff." I'm confused as to why she had brought that up out of the blue. But If she's referring to that story, then of course I still remember it. "About the mage and the girl? Yeah, I remember." "You see honey. That mage wasn't just any normal mage. He was considered as the greatest one to ever live during his time. And that girl wasn't at all human." "Okay. So they both weren't human. What does that have to do with me leaving?" Mother had took in a deep breath before continuing. "Society didn't want to accept their love so they both decided to keep it hidden. Everything was okay until it lasted. That girl, eventually met her mate." "Mom-" "Listen to mommy first, honey. This..this is important. I don't want you going through the same thing I went through." 'The same thing I went through?' What...what exactly did she mean by that? "That mage, your great great grand father, wanted to grant his lover one last wish before parting way. Whatever it was she wanted, he'd do everything in his power to make it come true." I've always believed that, that story was real. But I never knew I was related to that mage, neither was I aware that the female was actually a she wolf. I could only imagine what that mage had to go through when he saw the person he cherished so much fall into the hands of another man. All because she was following her wolf instinct. I've trailed off into listening while absentmindedly picking on my nails, trying to put the pieces together on my own. "Her wish was that they'd forget each other and move on and live a happy life. Only half of the wish was granted and she forgot about him. But it wasn't the same for him. Because of how much he loved her, he didn't cast the spell on himself and chose to live with the memories of her forever."
