Little wolf turns eighteen.

In which Abel Parker treats Elka Miller as the girl of his dreams. But as far as she's aware, Abel will only ever be that goofy, clingy friend who tries to pry away from his persistent werewolf parents forcing him to find 'the one'.

All plan seems to go accordingly. He's meeting up with people who appear to be a potential mate suited for a dominant alpha such as him.

However, let's just wait until he turns eighteen though.

I dislike the sight of crowds. Don't like it one bit. Gritting my teeth, I turn another corner, dodging two wasted teens who are all over each other. My face squints with disgust.  Would it kill them to get a room? I wipe my shirt down, gradually turning back to the path with a clench of my jaw. My arms swing back and fort as I trudge up stairs, knuckles glowing like white snow. When I find that person who ditched me, I'll make sure to give him a piece of my mind. My train of thoughts come to an abrupt halt when I reach the balcony. And there's Abel, leaning against the railing. The bush of his newly dyed silver hair dances with the breeze as he stands there alone, gazing down. "Abel Jeon Parker. I can't believe you were here this whole time." Said person barely flinches when he turns to see me who's fuming from his sudden disappearance. He flashes a charming lopsided smile. "Elka, there you are." Muses the silver haired boy coyly. "Didn't I tell you to stick close to me?" My fists clenched tightly as I marched towards the man, grabbing the fabric of his collar. "You're the one who left me. Now let's go." He stumbles in surprise when I start tugging him. "H-hey. Wait. Where are you taking me?" "Need I remind you, you made me to come to this stupid party and you're my ride home." I don't need to look behind to know he just rolled his eyes. After a minute of completely dragging him from that ruckus of a party, I swivel myself into the passenger seat. Finally. "You're really that desperate to leave uh?" I check my phone, watching the time strike exactly eight sharp. At this point, we only have an hour to prepare. Abel snaps a finger to get my attention. "Don't ignore me. You know how much I hate that." "Can't help it." I shrug my shoulders, muscle in motion beneath my shirt. I have so much in my mind and mid-term exams on top of the list. Ten minutes later, we enter the familiar neighbourhood. A sharp gaze crosses Abel's expression . Settled on the sidewalk's not other than Mrs Parker's car. His expression turns stoic, bothered. I slide out from the vehicle once he's parked it. "No wonder you've been so eager to leave." "It's for your own good. Your birthday's coming in a few weeks and I'm just doing both you and your family a favour." My best friend purses his lips. "I can't believe you're helping them. You're suppose to be on my side. Not theirs." I shrug my shoulders, sliding the door to my apartment open. Sounds of clutter and a scent of something homemade greets our presence. I walk immediately to the kitchen as my company heads towards the living room. I find Abel's mother busy inside my miniature cooking area, humming a tone as she walks back and forth. Grinning, I stand on my toes and peer over her shoulder from a far. "Hi Mrs Parker. Watcha cooking?" She twirls, flashing me a set of dark mesmerizing doe eyes. Behind the apron, she's clad in a off-shoulder beige top, blue jeans showcasing the length of her legs. She looks stunning. I know werewolves don't age as fast as humans. "Elka, sweetie." Smiles the woman, flashing a charming dimple. "Yours and Abel's favorite of course. Chicken noodle soup and some kimchee." I hold my mouth from watering. With my parents always out of town and me busy with school activities, I barely have time to cook for myself. "It's almost done sweetie. Do you mind setting the table?" "Sure." Abel's parents are known to be one of the most high ranked werewolves in their community. When a werewolf pup is born, the possibility of having the alpha gene is as thin as air. But Mrs Parker's born with that unique gene ( the alpha gene), that makes her the Luna she is Today. Mr Parker's born with the same alpha gene in his system as well. Now when these two very rare genes conceive a child, a pure-bred Alpha or Luna is born.  For generations, a phenomena such as these is said to occur only once every five thousand years. That rare. Abel Jeon Parker's parents both possess the alpha gene, making him as one of the strongest pure-bred alpha to exist in his lifetime. As society begins to grow accustomed with the presence of supernaturals, their kinds would rather stay hidden from the light. Same applies for the rest within the werewolves community. My parents have always been friends with the Parkers. So growing up knowing that their family's different never really surprised me. After setting the plates and utensils, I journey to find Abel. But he isn't in the living room. That could only mean one thing. I start heading up the stairs, opening my room only to find him cocooned between the sheets like a burrito. My laptop's open. His hair's frizzled. highlighted by the light from the screen. The pout in his face makes his usually thin upper lip look plumper than it normally is. Without looking up, he says. "You should download more movies. These all sucks." And yet you still watch them. My eyes roll to the moon. I usher him out of bed. "Let's go. Your mom's prepared dinner." The pout from earlier leaves his lips. Sighing, he shuts my laptop and follows after me. "What's the use? She'll still drag me to that dinner date." "She knows you won't touch your food in front of them." I tell him as a matter of fact.  We arrive just as Mrs Parker sets her delicious cooking on the table, quickly gesturing for us two to take a seat. "Quick sweetie. Sit down. Abel, you need all the energy you can get. Start eating." For the next two minutes we remain silent, listening to Mrs Parker reminiscing her love story. I've lost count of how times she's told us that. But hey? Can't stop a girl from remembering the first time she met her true love. Sometimes I envy Abel. While we humans have to suffer going through relationship complexes and the feeling of not finding 'the one', they have theirs already destined since birth. If things worked the same way with humans, maybe life would be easier since we'd already be certain that they're meant for us. I dab a napkin at the corner of my lips, catching a strong gaze coming from my side. As I turn, Abel's staring down on me, causing my brow to lift. Is there something on my face? "Axe, you'll love this girl we're meeting today. She's a lovely daughter of a strawberry farmer. Her name's Kim Tae Hee." That snaps Abel's gaze away from me. I shrug my shoulders and go back to enjoying the meal. He's silent. Mrs Parker blinks her eyes, fixing the tickle in her throat. "Your birthday's coming soon. You'll find your mate." She says, wolfishly grinning. "And I'm not getting any younger y'know." I join Mrs Parker's happy moment, sending Abel a smug smile. "I can't wait to be an Aunt." Abel shoves a spoon full of rice into my mouth with a roll of his eyes. "Stop talking or I'll make you."
