After a view like that, the ride back home was ten times peaceful. Abel ended up taking the long route back to my place so we enjoyed each others presence more. My eyes started to get blurry as I saunter deep within the walls of my house. Mom and dad were always overseas managing countless business. Unlike me, my eleven and five year old brothers had to stick close to them as they travel around the world. It's been a year since I've last seen them in person. We call a few times here and there but every since Mrs Parker made me her errand girl, I gotten a little busy. After changing into some clean pajamas, I hit the kitchen and prepare myself a little dinner. The rest of the night goes by pleasantly and before I knew it, the sun's finally up and I'm making my to class with Loona beside me. The girl's livelier than ever. Staying inside bedridden for a week was 'torturous 'as to what she had described it. Just as we're about to enter our classroom, I'm stopped by Loona's arm blocking the door way. She has her nose up in the air and her eyes have suddenly narrowed down into a focused glare. If I didn't know she was a werewolf, I'd assume she was acting weird. "What is it?" I look around myself only to see nothing out of the ordinary. If we count Loona, who's sniffing the air, out. At the sound of my voice, her attention draws back to me. "It's nothing. Do we have a new student?" "Yeah. She transferred here last week. Why?" There's uneasiness behind that bright smile consuming her face. Loona grabs my hand and drags us to our seats. "I thought I smelt something weird. She arrived the day I called in sick yeah?" I nodded my head, tying my hair up into a pony tail. Loona's face once again shifts into an expression I can't read. She looks worried but at the same time confused and nervous. But why? "Are you okay? You look like you're about to piss your pants." "I stopped doing that when I was five months old mind you." She scoffs, sending me a playful glare to which I stifle a laugh. "And I'm fine. I just thought it was strange since we're this close to mid terms." "I thought the same too." "Speaking of mid terms." I flinch when her forehead suddenly bangs the desk causing her hair to messily splay all over. That'll obviously leave a mark later on. "I have a lot to catch up on. Lend me your books later." I'd do anything when it comes to Loona. But giving her my books when exams' just a week away, it's every man on their own. "About that-" She catches on quite quickly. Because before I can even dare finish my sentence, she's already throwing words at me. "Aren't you my bestfriend? It's an unspoken mutual agreement! I could ask Abel but you know that guy won't share anything unless it's you asking." If I had ears, they'd have already lowered down with guilt. Loona snickers. "That's right. Feel guilty. You want me to fail that bad uh?" I give up. "Fine." Once again, I gave in and let her have her way. Loona's face lightens up in an instant. "I'll just borrow your math and Science." "Absolutely not. You know I suck at those subjects." "Its okay." My bag's then snatched from my hand. "You'll be fine. You have a hot headed, genius boyfriend anyway." "What?" "I'm talking about Abel." Winking, she returns my bag after taking my math and science books only to frown later on at my lost, semi terrified, expression. "Wait. Don't tell me he hasn't asked you yet?" I'm taken aback. "Ask? What on earth are you talking about?" Her murmers don't go past me as she flickers the book open and simply ignores me. "That i***t really hasn't asked you out. And here I thought nothing intimidated him." Then she turns to me with a smile. "I'm just saying this in case you don't know. Abel's an idiot." Throughout the whole lecture, I've noticed Loona glancing at Van repeatedly. I didn't find it weird when Abel did it since she could be a potential mate. But now that Loona's looking at her like she's trying to figure out her flaws, something must be up. Lunch time came and I was told to go ahead. Van had already walked out so there's no reason for me to get suspicious over Loona. As I make a left turn, I accidentally bump into a wall. This I say wall? I meant chest. A really solid chest. "Woah. Didn't see you there. Are you okay?" I'm strucked with that sense of familiarity coming from the voice. The hand thats enveloping mine. It's been a while. I look up to be met with those ebony eyes that used to be so beautiful. "I'm fine." I tell him, forcing a smile as I pull my arm away from him. "I was the one who bumped into you." Daron Silvester. Back when we were kids, I remember saying I'd marry him once we were adults. We used to be so close than anyone else but as we grew up, he started becoming more distance. Conversation became less and less until we completely stopped greeting each other. I don't exactly know what happened and why he did that, but I can't blame a person if they want space. I admit. I was kinda clingy when we were kids. Even Abel said so at one point. "I guess I'll see you around." I need to leave before my heart explodes. See you around? As If that'll happen. We attend the same school but I've never once crossed paths with him until now. "Wait." Faint footsteps echoe until I'm seeing Daron kneeling in front of me. Oh. My lace's undone. I stand awkwardly as he ties it for me. "T-thanks." "It's the least I can do." Says the man, standing. "Wouldn't want you falling for me." "What?" I think my ears just played a dirty game.
