Flint's POV:

“Ano kamo?!” Gulat na tanong ko. Ayan, kakatanong ko ng wala na bang mas ilalala pa ang mga nalalaman ko, binigyan tuloy ako ng mas makasabog utak na impormasyon.

Garduña is a secret criminal society in the underground. It’s a Spanish mafia that was believed to be a mythical organization. At least that’s what we normal citizens think. Kaya ngayon ay nagugulat ako sa sinasabi netong impaktong ‘to. It’s a mythical organization and yet he’s saying that I’m its princess?!

“So your mother still haven’t told you. It’s safe to assume you don’t know who your father is, no?” He chuckled when I just stared at him. His eyes travelled around my face, and landed on my parted lips. There’s something that flashed in his eyes for a second. I pursed my lips and looked the other way, trying to ignore his heavy stares.

“No. I don’t.” I whispered, clenching my fists. He stayed like that for a few seconds before nodding. I released the breath that I didn’t realize I was holding when he finally walked away from me.

“I’ll let your mother talk to you about that some other time.” He said as he walk away. Nanatili akong nakatitig sa screen ng tv.

“Where is she?” Tanong ko.

“Somewhere. She’s safe with us, Flint. You’ll see her once we’re done with our mission—“

“Excuse you?” Napalingon ako sakaniya dahil sa sinabi niya. “Anong mission ang pinagsasabi mo riyan? At kailan ako pumayag?” Tumigil siya sa ginagawang pag-aayos ng blazer niya at lumingon saakin nang marinig ang pag-protesta ko.

“Like hell I gave you a chance to decide.” He said and faced me again. I harshly stood up, this time finally knocking down the wooden chair.

“And like hell I gave you the permission to decide for me. I need to see my mother and I want now.” Galit na saad ko at nakipagsukatan ng titig sakaniya. Kung ako ay halos magliyab na rito sa galit, siya naman ay nanatiling kalmado at nakatitig lang saakin.

“No.” Matigas na sagot niya at tumalikod saakin para tanggalin ang blazer niya. Sinubukan kong hindi ma-distract sa long sleeves niyang halos pumutok na dahil sa laki ng braso niya. Marahas nanaman akong napahilamos sa mukha ko at tumalikod para bumuga ng hangin habang pilit na pinapakalma ang buong sistema ko.

“Lyandyle—“

“You’ll do as I say or you won’t see you mother ever again.” That was the last straw and the next I knew is I’m walking towards him with big steps, not minding the guns suddenly pointing at me. Even Edrix and Lucas are on their guard as they watch me.

“What are you going to do with her? Bakit ba siya nadamay rito?!” Galit na singhal ko sa likod ni Lyle. Mas lalong nag-init ang ulo ko nang hindi manlang siya nag-abalang humarap saakin at nagkibit balikat lang talaga. Before I could think rationally and stop myself I grabbed his shoulder and forced him to look at me. I know I caught him off-guard dahil hindi niya naiwasan ang kamao kong dumapo sa pisngi niya.

Muntik pa siyang ma off balance dahil sa lakas ng impact niyon. Akala ko ay kakalma na ko pero parang mas lalo ko lamang siyang gustong suntukin. And that’s what I did. Hawak ang kwelyo niya ay sinuntok ko siya uli, this time sa panga niya tumama.

It’s funny how I used to treat his wounds before and now I’m giving those to him. Parang dati lang ay titingnan niya ako nang masama sa tuwing mapapadiin ang bulak sa pisngi niyang may galos pero ngayon ay tinitingnan na niya ako nang masama dahil binigyan ko siya ng bangas.

I was about to punch him again but he caught my fist and gripped it tightly. Akmang sisipain ko siya pero naunahan niya ako. Nasipa niya ako sa hita kaya pansamantalang nanghina ang buong binti ko. Tumayo siya at pabalang na binitawan ang kamao ko. He was glaring at me as he wipe off the blood on his lips.

“Don’t test my patience, Flint.” He warned but I did the exact opposite. Nang mabalik ang lakas ng binti ko ay sinugod ko siyang muli, which was a mistake. Dahil napaghandaan na niya ako ay agad niyang hinuli ang magkabilang palapulsuhan ko at inikot. He slammed my upper body on his table, pinning my wrists on the top of my head. Iaangat ko sana ang tuhod ko nang ipitin niya iyon gamit ang sarili niyang binti.

He crouched down and using his other hand he gripped my jaw tightly. There he goes again, that dangerous aura surrounding him as he clench his jaw.

“I don’t think I’ve made myself clear enough for you.” He whispered through his gritted teeth. Makailang beses muna siyang huminga nang malalim hanggang sa unti-unting lumuwag ang pagkakahawak niya sa panga ko, pero hindi pa rin inaalis ang kamay niya ron. He’s now caressing the side with his thumb as he stare straight into my eyes. “You will do as I say until we’re done. And we will never be done unless I say so. You’ll stay here, with me, helping me bring that son of a b*tch down. I will decide for you and you’ll do nothing but to accept that. After all, you owe me. A lot.”

“F*ck you. I don’t owe you anything b*st*rd.” I spatted. He grinned and leaned closer to my ear.

“Why do you think your commander didn’t kill you after what you did to your last mission?” He whispered, his voice so low I thought I wouldn’t be able to hear it if only he’s not whispering to my ears. My body froze as I felt chills down to my spine. “Your father didn’t even know ‘bout you until now. So, he wouldn’t be able to help you with what you did when you were still at the camp.”

“What…”

“That’s right. I know what happened. And it’s me, amor. You weren’t stripped down your title because of me. So, basically, you owe me. I’m your ‘miracle’.” Inangat na niya ang ulo niya at tiningnan ang mga mata ko.

“F*ck you. I f*cking hate you.” I whispered as I could feel the corners of my eyes heating up. He sensed that, which made his smirk widened. Gustong gusto kong burahin ang nakakainis na ngisi sa mukha niya at punuin iyon ng pasa.

“I’m flattered you wanna f*ck me. But now’s not the right time, don’t you think?” Nang-aasar na saad niya bago tinanggal ang pagkakahawak sa wrist ko at lumayo.

Umayos siya ng tayo at isinilid ang dalawang kamay sa bulsa niya. Inangat ko ang sarili ko at kung nakakahiwa lang ang tingin, malamang patay na silang lahat dito ngayon.
