Flint's POV: He smirked and nodded his head upwards. “Lyandyle’s too long, amor. Lyle nalang. Amusement was written all over his face. I couldn’t believe that he’s Lyle. The guy that I used to save from bullies, the same guy I introduced to my mother. The same guy who always needed help to get away from danger. Now, he’s danger itself with his tall frame towering over me. His suit was big for his torso but big enough to fit his big, toned arms. There’s this black ink peeking on his collarbone, even on his hand. How much ink does he hide in that body of his? His face, it was far from the same baby-faced boy I used to follow around. Now he’s a dangerous man, his face says it all. His downturned eyes filled with darkness and danger hidden in those green-hazel orbs. Not to mention his bushy brows that made his eyes pop even more and his thick lashes. His nose with a perfectly straight bridge, standing proud at the center of his face. His cupid bow lips that’s smirking at me right now. It’s full, pinkish and plump. And his jaw, perfectly chiselled and sharp. It becomes more prominent when he grits his teeth, just like now. “The gun, Haven.” He asked and showed me his palm. “Bring it out.” A guy was carrying a tv on a wheeled table. The screen was full black that I thought it wasn’t on if only there isn’t any light under it, indicating it’s powered. My knees almost went weak when the tv lit up and showed a woman’s face. She was unconscious, but was shook by someone until she opened her eyes. Panic was written all over her face until she faced the center, which I’m guessing a camera connected to the screen in front of her too. She was looking straight, it’s as if she can see me and looking right at me. “Anak…” I could feel my whole body getting tensed and on fire as I could hear my mother’s breathe. “Let my mother go!” “The gun.” If only lookds could kill kanina pa naliligo sa sariling dugo niya ang lalaking kaharap ko. “I’m not gonna hurt her if you cooperate with me right now, Flint. After all, she’s tita Brianna.” “F*ck you, Lyle. F*ck you.” I said throught my gritted teeth. He smirked. “We’ll get there, amor. But, please, hand me the gun.” He even said please as he ask me for the gun. She nodded, her panicked expression was exchanged with relief when she saw that I was okay. “There you go. Good job, love." He whispered as he took a step towards me. He used the mouth of the gun to lift my chin up and make me look at him. I could feel his breathe fanning my face, his minty smell filling my nose. "Now, sit." “You don’t know how glad I am that we’re graced with the presence of the famous Garduña princess.” Lyle says as he pulls the chair beside him. He gestured for me to sit down pero mas sumama lang ang timpla ng mukha ko. “Sit.” “I’m not your dog, a*sh*le.” I snarled and tried to get up pero mas idiniin niya lang ako sa upuan. Wala kayong makukuhang kahit ano saakin.” “Actually, meron. You just don’t realize that, yet.” He replied and sat down in front of me. “But first, I’d like to catch up. What happened to you after those 7 years na hindi ka namin makita? You know I’ve been wanting to keep in touch with you but, you were nowhere to be found.” Hindi makapaniwalang nakatitig ako sakaniya. Is he for real? Nangg*go ba ‘tong lalaking ‘to? “I’m sure you got lots of questions. And as a reward for making my guys’ works easier, I’ll answer them.” “Excuse me?” “You know, I figured that you wouldn’t come with them without a fight. Kaya imbis na simple lang na pagkausap at pagdala sayo rito, we had to sedate you. Baka kasi mas lalo kang mapahamak kapag nagtagal pa tayo ron.” Or pagligtas nga bang matatawag ang ginawa nila? “Are you out of your mind?” Mahinang tanong ko. Sinusubukan ko paring intindihin ang nangyayari rito pero seeing the Lyle in front of me so different with the Lyle I met back then, parang pati ata ako mawawala sa katinuan. “What? For blowing up the place?” Nagtatakang tanong niya. Doon lang biglang luminaw saakin ang lahat. D*mn it bakit ang slow ko? Epekto ba ‘to ng sedative? The job, the party, the bombing. It was all planned out by none other than Lyandyle. “The people at that place…you killed them?!” I shouted. He raised both of his hands up and shook his head. “Huy, hindi ako. Malinis ang kamay ko.” Aniya at tinuro ang dalawang nasa likuran niya. “Sila kaya ang nagpasabog.” “But your soul isn’t. You’re just as dirty as them dahil ikaw ang nag-utos!” Singhal ko na ikinatawa lang niya. I scoffed in disbelief. “What the hell happened to you, Lyle? Hindi ka naman ganito noon.” “That’s before, amor. I’ve changed. I got the power I didn’t have before, the one I refused to take from my father.” His expression darkened, his smile turned into a devilish smirk as he leans towards me. “If I accepted what my father’s been giving me before, Jesper and Olivia won’t last a day right after they started to hurt me.” “But! Again, I’m not the one who killed them. At least not with my own hands. I can thank Edrix for that.” He says as he leaned back to his seat and looked at Edrix beside him. Edrix’s serious face is long gone. It’s replaced by a taunting smile, his eyes just like the others. Filled with dangerous glint of playfulness. “And Elias, or should I say Lucas, for blowing the place up. It’s a sight you won’t be able to see everyday.” He added, giving Lucas a nod. I stood up, knocking my chair backwards with the force of my sudden movement. So he blew the place up! Siya rin pala ang dahilan nun eh! So anong sinasabi niyang mas mapapahamak ako kung sakaling nagtagal kami ron?! “Please, calm down.” Edrix said when he saw my bewildered and angry state. Calm down?! How the f*ck am I supposed to calm down?! At bakit kita pakikinggan?! Niloko niyo akong lahat! You…you killed your father! And now you got my mother!” “Oh, him? Please. He deserved it.” He said with a shrug. “He killed my brother and took his anger out to me. His anger for himself because he knew he’s the one to blame for kuya’s death. Him and his mentally unstable being was hell for me.” May mas malala pa bang impormasyon kaysa rito? “What the hell do you want from me?” “Marami. Your skills would surely help us. And your connections too. But I think we’re gonna need a long, deep talk ‘bout that.” Lyle said and stared at me. He then stood up and walked towards me. He crouched down to my level as he whispered, “After all, you’re not aware that you’re the valuable Garduña princess.” “Ano kamo?!”
