Anastasia POV
Today I am 10 years old. I am so excited to spend my tenth birthday with Linda. Recently Linda met her mate and his name is Andrew. Unfortunately during the time they were doing "mate business", whatever that means, I was forced not to see Linda as much. Apparently Andrew is another rogue sent by whoever is after me. I have no idea who the person is though but they call him the rogue king. Anyway I am always kept safely now that beta Gerald knows I am not allowed to go anywhere alone.
I wave of to the car who beta Gerald sent to drop me off enthusiastically before I knock on Linda's door.
"Hello sweetie! It is good to see you. Why have you been gone so long?" She asks me.
"Hello Aunty Linda." I say excitedly. "Amy said I must stay away so you can do "Mate business" I have no idea what it means when I asked her she said I would understand with time. I begged her but she insisted. Anyway it gives me something to look forward to for the future." I say then start to giggle.
Linda clicks her tongue and says: "Don't be silly sweetie, you know you are always welcome." She then takes me inside and sits me down then starts making coffee. "So what is news with you?" She asks
"I met a boy a few weeks ago. His name is Logan." I say excitedly.
"Ooh, that is exciting what can you tell me about this Logan guy?" she asks then starts to giggle.
"I was been bullied by some of the girls at school as usual when suddenly the most handsome man comes over to my rescue. He had Brown hair with Hazel eyes. The girls tried to bully me in the hall again as usual but he suddenly popped over and yelled at them to stay away from me so they all ran away hehehe." I say excitedly with a big dreamy smile on my face.
"Oh wow that is great. What pack is this Logan guy from?" Asks Andrew.
"I believe he is from Forest Hill pack and the future alpha" I say. I have no idea what pack Forest Hill is other than the fact that they neighbours.
"OH wow, that is amazing Forest Hill is the strongest in the area." She says with surprise and then excitement.
"I never knew that" I say. "He invited me to come spend time with me later today."
"What else can you tell me about him?" she gushes.
"He is so kind and caring! I can see he hates the attention he is getting from all the other girls. They are constantly flirting with him. He only has eyes for me." I gush excitedly.
We got out of school early today because we got our reports this morning. Midterm break starts from tomorrow!

two years later
Logan POV
I am sitting in the lounge waiting for Anastasia to come and eating my snack. She is attractive in a unique kind of way which I find appealing. My wolf Liam is also content in her presence which he isn't with most other girls. I can see Anastasia is different from the other girls. She wasn't throwing herself at me like everyone else and was very withdrawn almost aloof making me want to get to her and get to know her even more. I could tell that she has a sweet caring disposition and very trusting. She hangs around with the alpha of our neighbouring pack and his sister a lot making me wonder what the connection there is. We have been spending a lot of time together the last few years and I enjoy her company.
"There is someone claiming to be here to see you Alpha. Are you expecting someone?" Asks my father's beta through mind link.
"Someone is coming but in case, what is the name of the person?" I ask
"Anastasia." I can feel my body hum with excitement.
"Send her up." A few minutes later Anastasia walks through the door wearing a bright blue dress giggling.
"What is so funny?" I ask with a frown
"Whoever that person was who met me outside." She replies with another giggle
"What happened?" I ask with suspicion.
"Nothing, he was just determined to know who I was and even tried to push an aura on me and seem inimidating which didn't work. I t was fun giving him the run around hehe." She replies laughing harder.
"Oh, oh well haha." I laugh.
Anastasia and I then spend the rest of the evening relaxing and hanging out. Every moment I spend with her, I enjoy her company more and more.
"Anastasia, I have something I have been wanting to ask you." I whisper to her in her ear. She currently has her head resting on my lap while she plays on her phone.
"Yes?" She says after glancing up at me.
"I have been wanting to know if you would like to go on a date with me?"I ask her while trying to hide away my shyness.
"Of course silly! I would love that! I have been hoping you would ask for years" She says with excitement in her voice.
"I will pick you up from home at six tomorrow! Wear something Semi-smart." I say with excitement
Later that evening once Anastasia gets home I can feel a presence in my room almost like a spirit of sort. In the distance I can see a black shape almost like that of a person cross ghost. I can feel my heart rate rise and my palms get all sweaty and clammy.
"Hello mutt. We need to talk." Says she shape. I can feel Liam get uneasy and I let out a growl in it's direction.
"What do you want?" I ask trying to hide the fear in my voice
"Now Now there is no need to be rude you know! I just want to have a little chat with you about your date tomorrow and exactly how I would like to see it go." Says the voice, I can see the shape slowly coming closer to me causing me to get more and more afraid.
"What about it? I just want to take a girl out who I have liked for years." I say with frustration in my voice. People have always been trying to keep Anastasia and I away from spending time with each other, I wish I could just take a cute girl out on a date without interference.
"Well you see, I have been trying to get my hands on that girl for years. And not for the reasons you think. My reasons are my business and mine alone." Says the voice I can feel my body stiffening wanting to get away and object.
" Well I don't want you to have her." I say trying to gain a little bit of courage and stand up for myself.
"Well you see mutt. What you do or don't want doesn't matter here. It is all about what I want and don't want. So either you comply and work with me or you don't but if you don't there will be consequences." Says the voice with an evil laugh.
"What sort of consequences?" I ask.
"Well you don't want to loose your parents do you?" I immediately shake my head. "I thought as much. So tomorrow you will be taking her to a restaurant you will let me know exactly where so I can tell other people for them to come get her. Am I understood?" Asks the voice/
"Yes you are. As log as you promise me you won't hurt her." I say.
"I can make no such promise." He says with an evil laugh right before disappearing. I wish I hadn't agreed to this.
