Anastasia POV
Once i got out the hall and outside I immediately ran into the forest away from everyone else. I can hear people are following trying to find my causing me to go even deeper. I take a short cut to Beta Gerald and Amy's place and go behind the house to shift. I can feel Aurora pacing around in my head.
"What is happening Aurora? What is going on?" I ask in a panicked voice.
"Everything is ok Anastasia just breath. You have got this."
"What is going on Aurora?" I ask again.
"We shifting for the first time Anastasia. Just take a deep breath and relax everything will be alright. Don't fight it." She pants out.
"What does that mean?" I ask frightened
"It means you will be changing into your lycan for the first time." She says.
"Wow, wait I remember learning about lycans at school!! That is so cool! Wait aren't they supposed to be extinct?" I ask excitedly
"We let people believe we are for protection. You are going to need to hide your lycan and only shift around people who I say you can. Beta Gerald and Amy know who you are. Cynthia told them. You not just a lycan you will find out your other parts later." She says excitedly then starts pacing. I can feel her unease causing me to get uneasy as well. I have no idea what to expect and no one to guide me through it. I wish Cynthia or my real parents where here to help me.
"I am here sweetie just relax and listen to Aurora, call me Grandma rather than Cynthia." Says Cynthia suddenly in my mind.
"Wait you are my grandma? Does that mean I will one day be a moon goddess and can get to help people who are sad or in danger just like me?" I ask excitedly. I can slowly feel my skin start to itch so i rub it gently.
"Yes sweetheart now relax and listen to what Aurora has to say." Says Grandma.
Suddenly my skin starts itching even more and I can feel tiny needles piercing my skin I start screaming and crying. I can hear the sounds of footsteps coming towards me.
"There she is." Says beta Amy and Gerald in relief.
"Did you really have to cause a scene!?" Shrieks Amy
I immediately start to whimper and try get further away from them.
"Wait she is shifting." says beta Gerald. "From what I remember from my dad lycans will not accept any gamma except the one they choose and it is even worse for the females she must be so scared." He adds.
"What must we do? She is so young?" Asks Amy.
"Some lycans are able to shift as young as 10. They are normally very rare and special which Anastasia is if her grandmother is anything to go by. Royalty shifts at around 12. For Anastasia to shift so early she must be both and possibly even have multiple species within her. Keep her calm. I am going to get a mirror for her to see. " Says Beta Gerald.
I suddenly feel a sharp pain and start whimpering even louder. "Aurora how long will this be?" I cry out in my mind
"Still a while. Hang in there" She replies panting in my mind
Amy's eyes go wide when she hears my bones crack i can smell the fear and panick on her and try come out to comfort her.
"No stay away from me. You need space to shift there is no guarantee how big that monster in you will be." She says. I immediately start whimpering and backing away from her.
"Just breath Anastasia! Breath! She has no idea what she is talking about or saying." Say Aurora in my mind with a soothing voice.
"You can do this Anastasia. You got this" Says Amy from a distance.
"I know it is painful Anastasia but don't fight it! You are almost there" Says Beta Gerald after coming back with a mirror in hand. I can feel hair sprouting from my arms which is very itchy making me want to scratch it. I feel my nose and mouth combine and elongate form a snout then hear bones cracking and reforming. I let a loud agonising scream and start whimpering even more. The pain is a lot worse than it was at the start.
"We did it Aurora!! We made it through our first shift!!!" I say to her excitedly.
"Yes, we did! Well done!" She replies
"Oh wow Anastasia, you look stunning. You are by far the prettiest Lycan I have seen in a long time." Says Beta Gerald.
"You are defintely a site to behold. Not at all the monster I imagined" Says Amy.
"May I see?" I ask them excitedly.
"Sure" He says
He then hands me the mirror for me to look at myself. I have beautiful pure white paws with gold fur all the way up. There some black stripes which look like a mix of blue and pink if the sun hits is just right and my eyes are purple. My fur looks almost red and orange if the sun hits the gold just right and i have the shape of a moon in white on both of my side. I look really pretty. I sit there looking at myself with my tail wagging happily.
"We need to shift Anastasia someone is watching." Says Aurora in my head I can also year sounds of approaching footsteps.
"How?!" I ask in a panick.
"Imagine yourself shifting from your wolf to human form. To shift back into your wolf you do the same. It may be painful the first few times but the worst is over." She says calmly.
I then do what she says and shift back I look down and see I am already fully dressed in a long whit dress. That is odd all the other wolves shift back naked.
"It is a special power of yours being a lycan. Only lycans can do it. You have other species apart of you but you will discover them later."

Gerald POV
Once Anastasia left the room all hell broke loose everyone was giving us dirty looks. I have no control over what the child does.
"You guys need to keep her in line" Yells Alpha Michael
"She ruined our special day." Whines Michelle.
"She is a witch!" Yells Luna Gracie.
"Everyone calm down I am sure Anastasia has a reason for this." I say
"For being a witch?" Says Luna Gracie.
"No but she is a very powerful wolf far powerful than any of us imagined. That is all I can say." I say
"Is she a lycan?" Asks Alpha Michael I immediately freeze in fear.
"No." I reply. I can see Amy freeze in fear wondering if she should say the truth.
"she is a witch!" Screams Luna Gracie
Amy immediately mind links me "She is a lycan though."
"Yes but no one can know for her protection. I don't think she is just a lycan I think she is a hybrid." I say
When we find her Amy is boiling mad. Anastasia running out disrupted the whole Gamma ceremony and sent the pack in a frenzy.
"Why did you make such a scene?!" Shrieked Amy. Anastasia immediately whimpers and backs away.
"Wait she is shifting." I say. "From what I remember from my dad lycans will not accept any gamma except the one they choose and it is even worse for the females she must be so scared." I add my heart immediately softens towards her.
"What must we do? She is so young?" Asks Amy.

I can smell Amy's fear but slip off and go find a mirror. She will want to know what she looks like. When I arrive back Anastasia is almost fully shifted. "I know it is painful Anastasia but don't fight it! You are almost there" I say trying to encourage her.
"Oh wow Anastasia, you look stunning. You are by far the prettiest Lycan I have seen in a long time." I say.

"May I see?" She asks excitedly.
"Sure" I say.
I can hear the sound of approaching footsteps and see the pack approaching lead by Luna Gracie.
"Where is the witch?" She yells. She then sees Anastasia. "Take her and put her in the dungeon for interrogation.
"Wait!" I say but no one listens.
