"I'm exhausted!" Ivan said opening the passenger door to my car getting inside and resting his head against the back rest.
It was almost midnight and we had spent the entire day in the campus library studying and researching for the exams tomorrow.
You might wonder why the royal beta of the biggest packs in the world --- The royal Black phantom pack ---- would be working his ass off studying like this well ---
I'm only scared of two things --My mom and my Mom ---
She cares about my grades and won't let me live to tell the tale if I even fail.
She's Zambian, African and you know just how hard and scary African mothers can be.
You might still wonder why a 6 foot one male like me would be scared of a 5"3 lady, well, her being the Queen of Atlantis makes up for the scariness.
Even dad who is six foot three is scared of her even though he doesn't like to admit that he's scared of his little small half mermaid and half werewolf wife.
"Me too, I can't wait to get to my bed and just sleep on it," William agreed getting into the backseat equally making himself comfortable.
" I hate exam period," I said getting into the driver's seat and putting my seat belt on.
I turned on the engine about to drive when,
"Hey guys, wait up!" I gave an internal groan when I saw Vanessa, the chick that has been trying to get into my boxers for weeks now, running up to our car.
"What now?" Ivan who equally disliked her probably more than I did, said as the three of us looked at her.
"Can you give me a ride?" she said out of breath, leaning on Ivan's side of the car.
"Sorry the car is full," William replied moving over and sitting in the middle.
"But I can see plenty of space,"
"Oh we are actually waiting for Elizabeth and Victoria, they will be here soon I'm sure," Ivan equally said checking his watch followed by looking around.
"But I saw Aaron start the car, are you sure or you just want me to stay here in this cold and get eaten by wolves. I heard they are on rampant these days,"she shivered lightly holding herself, giving us puppy dog eyes.
'As if that would work on me,' I snorted my hands drumming the steering wheel.
"Don't you have a car?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and she replied,
"I do but it's refusing to start and I don't know how to get to my apartment. I would have called an Uber but it's almost midnight and I don't want to be kidnaped, you know just how rich my parents are and one would do anything to have a taste of our money," she bragged something that annoyed me most about her.
Was it necessary to tell the entire planet that your parents are rich?
My dad and uncle own the university -- leeway University --- and other companies around the world but I don't brag about it and yet she tells everyone about it!!
'Typical female!' I snorted my wolf knox agreeing with me as Vanessa continued,
"Please guys help me, I promise this is my last time asking. Please Aaron," she pleaded.
Knowing that she will keep asking until we let her I let out a sigh saying,
"Get in,"
"But what about the girls?" Ivan asked.
" Yeah Aaron what about the ladies?" William seconded.
" Oh you mean Elizabeth and Victoria? I saw them leave in their car four minutes ago," Vanessa snorted getting into the car and making herself comfortable.
"You saw them and you are telling us this now?" William who didn't like scooting over, said, giving her glares.
Vanessa just shrugged her shoulders taking out her phone and taking pictures while I started the car wondering why she was so obsessed with herself I mean ---- It's almost midnight for goodness sake why would she be taking pictures of herself?!
I started the car and in no time, we were on the road,
"Where is your apartment?" I asked briefly looking at her through the mirror only to find her gaze fixed on me,
"You don't know where I live?" she asked with fake shock splattered on her face, I raised an eyebrow asking,
"Should I know?"
"Well I thought my apartment location would be obvious I mean I'm the princess of Montana group of companies, everyone knows where I live,"
" Not me!" The guys and I said at the same time the car going extremely quiet, bet she was embarrassed as hell.
"Um well just turn over that road," she answered after a long awkward silence.
"There?" I asked looking at the road she was pointing, third street.
It was the most deserted road. both sides where covered in thick woods the road in between.
I looked at her through the mirror and she didn't look anything like a werewolf.
"Doesn't smell like one either," knox said.
So then why would she chose to live at such a deserted place?
"Why would you decide to live in such a deserted place?" William asked the question bugging me.
"Well it's not deserted, it's the road that's deserted, after five minutes you will see houses. I live in an apartment complex
which I hate so much but daddy said I need to learn how to live with other people else he won't let me inherit Montana, being the eldest child to a rich man is so exhausting," she fanned herself.
Ivan groaned lightly fixing his gaze on the road me doing the same.
"Does everything have to be about money? You act like your dad recently got rich and now you are happy to be out of poverty," William shot.
Vanessa just shrugged her shoulders again, completely ignoring his comment
She took out her phone and started clicking pictures again while making doll faces and muttering about how her skin wasn't giving,
Giving what????
"What's that?" Ivan asked grabbing my attention my eyes now fixed on the road and a girl ---- a very much naked girl covered in blood was limping on the middle of the road.
I hit the horn hitting the breaks as fast as I could but wasn't fast enough as bum! the sound of the car hitting her echoed through the quiet woods coming to a stop.
