The Beta's Abused Mate

chapter four: Mate!

"Oh my God! Oh my God!" Vanessa screamed in the backseat holding her bag and phone tightly to her chest.

"f**k you hit her!' Ivan said as I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt.

I was about to get out when

"Stop!!" All three of them said at the same time, Ivan holding my arm.

"It's midnight, you just can't go out like this,"

" What do you mean? I just hit someone of course I have to go and check,"

" No please don't," Vanessa said, " this place is dangerous at this time, what if it's the vigilante group that's trying to lure us into their den of lions and kill us?!"

" Vigi what?" Ivan asked turning his head and looking at her,

"Trust me, please don't go,"

"I can take care of myself just fine," I said opening the car and the moment I did, the most sweetest and amazing scent that smelled just like my mom's famous home made pies that she used to make for me and my sister each time we came back from school, hit me like a tone of bricks.

"Mate!!!" Knox howled in my head realization hitting me like a tone of bricks,

"f**k I just killed my mate!!"

"She's not dead yet! go to mate," Knox growled in my head with a sense of urgency and I quickly went to the front of the car only to find her lying there in a pool of blood, Bruises covering her entire body with a stick lodged into various parts of her body.

"f**k! f**k! Please don't be dead, please don't be dead,"I cussed kneeling besides her placing my hand on her nose to check for breath while my ears concentrated on her heartbeat. thankfully her heart beat was there but not steady and her breath was shallow.

"She's a werewolf, I can sense the presence of her wolf, mate is hurt we have to take care of her," Knox said again in my head.

" Ivan, William!" I called for my friends while taking off my white hoodie covering her nakedness. I didn't want them to see my mate naked.

"What? What is --- oh my God there's blood! So much blood!" Ivan said looking like he's going to puke.

"We have to take her to our apartment! Ivan you are driving William open the back seat and call doctor Frank and tell him to meet me at the apartment fast!"

I ordered picking my mate up in my arms holding her closer to my body.

"But why the apartment? We should take her to the hospital," Ivan threw in the logic

"Yes Aaron," william agreed, "she might die if we don't,"

"Use your senses guys you have heightened ones for a reason. I know what I'm doing just do as told. There is no time to waste we have to save her as soon as possible!" I added.

They both looked at each other but didn't say anything and instead just did as told,

I'm assuming they got the memo that she was a werewolf,

"Is --is she dead?! oh my God that's too much blood!!" Vanessa said looking horrified, her eyes wide! Sweat and tears dripping down her face making her blonde hair stick to her skin.

"Will you sit here or the front?" I asked her

" Lay --- lay her head on my lap," she instead said putting her phone in her purse and putting the purse in the front seat, Ivan taking it and putting it on the dashboard.

"Are you sure? Are you not worried about your clothes?" Ivan asked.

" There is no time for that, she's bleeding so much and might die, plus if Aaron could sacrifice his limited edition Prada hoodie then who am I? Plus I can get new clothes," this was the first time hearing Vanessa not care about her clothes.

Last time someone accidently spilled coffee on her, she freaked out so much talking about how it was so expensive that the money could feed the person who spilled her coffee and his entire family.

I didn't say anything and instead just put my mate's head on her laps.

I got in the car and put her legs on my laps.

I wanted to have her head on my laps but well I will get to do that later right now, what's important is saving her.

Ivan quickly started the car while William called the doctor.

'Oh God please don't let her die, I need her!' I silently prayed as my wolf continued whining and complaining, wanting to take over and hold mate in our arms.

good think I kept him in check so as not to freak out the only human in the car.

"Even her entire face is bruised and barely recognisable, but the bruises aren't deep they won't leave a scar and with some skin care she will be perfect,"

Vanessa said removing some of my mates Brown hair that was sticking to her face, revealing her bruised and bloodied face.

"Mate," I whispered a lump forming in my throat, pain and anger coursing through me.

She's in pain and it's all my fault! I should have hit the breaks sooner maybe I wouldn't have hurt her.

"How do you know that?" Ivan asked looking at her throwing the mirror and I shifted my gaze to her.

"I have a passion for studying medicine --- being a doctor,"

" Then why are you in Business administration?"

" Because of the company duh. She's bleeding too much right here," she pointed at the part of the hooding which was wet with my mate's blood,

"Aaron, put your hand there, the pressure from your hand might minimize the bleeding," I wanted to growl at her for ordering me around but it was for my mate so I just did as told.

"Judging by the purple bruises and all these cuts and twigs on her legs, I don't think she's this hurt because of being hit by a car," Vanessa thoughtfully said,

" It seems like she was either kidnapped and was being tortured then she escaped or she was attacked but managed to escape," I looked at my mate's legs and body and she was right,

Recalling how she looked before I hit her with the car, made me even more angry and ready to kill whoever did this to her in cold blood.

" do -- do -- do you think she -- she was raped?" I asked stuttering, an even bigger lump forming on my throat as the thought of my woman being touched by another man crossed my mind, damn I swear I will kill them all if they forcefully touched her.

"I can't tell for sure, but there is a possibility I mean ---- she's wearing nothing but your hoody,"

" Ivan will you speed up, she needs medical attention!" I ended up yelling at Ivan to try and calm myself down and thankfully he headed and sped up.

As soon as we arrived, we found the doctor already outside with his equipments waiting for us.

I quickly opened the door then took my mate out.

"I know a bit about hospital stuff I can help," Vanessa offered equally getting out of the car.

"I will need as much help I can get," the doctor said all five of us rushing into the apartment straight to my room.

Ivan helped remove the Blanket leaving only the sheets and I lay my mate there.

The doctor and Vanessa who was serving as his assistant quickly got to work cleaning her up and patching up her wounds while I watched fighting the urge to kill the doctor for touching my mate.

"Relax he's just trying to help, he's just trying to help," I mentally said to myself calming myself down.

After an hour of me and the guys fetching water for cleaning her up and Vanessa and the doctor bandaging her up and changing the sheets,

They were finally done.

"She's stable but she lost a lot of blood and I think she will need a blood transfusion,"

"You can take mine," I mindlessly offered, " it's O negative I'm a universal donor,"

" Don't you first need to run tests to see whether -----"

" I don't think there is time for that," the doctor cut Vanessa off.

" Do you know the girl?" The doctor who was also a werewolf but a rogue asked and I knew exactly what he meant.

Him being a rogue didn't give me access to his mind so the link couldn't work but he was a trusted rogue who paid respect to packs but wasn't part of one because he needed freedom.

"Yes very special to me,"

"Great then your blood is a perfect match, it will get her in shape in no time,"

I sat on the bed and he connected a tubed directly from my artery to my mate's.

I could feel my blood flowing from me to her and I couldn't help but feel proud that I was giving her a part of me.

Atleast my blood and the mate bond will help her recover even faster.

It will strengthen her wolf and give her energy that will help kickstart the healing process.

"But how will you know if it's enough!" Vanessa who was standing there still in blood covered clothes asked.

"Experience, it's not the first time I'm doing this," the doctor answered her, his gazed focused on the tube.

After about two minutes,

"It's done," he said, and Vanessa took a gauze.

As soon as the doctor removed the tube from my arm, she put it on the spot where the tube was connected, instructing me to hold it then did the same to my mate followed by putting a bandage around her arm.

The doctor checked my mate up again then looked at me and said,

"I'm sure she will be fine but you will have to stay with her the whole night and inform me of any changes,"

" Sure thank you doctor," I said as the doctor packed up his stuff

"Her bandages will need to be changed with clean and disinfected ones every two hours to prevent the build up of bacteria,"

" Yes of course,"

" And inject her with this pain killer," he said handing me a bottle with a syringe, "Do it exactly after five hours okay,"

"Um but how will I do this?" I asked looking at it.

I have never dealt with such a case before I don't even know how to hold a syringe.

"I can stay and help," Vanessa volunteered again. Why was she being this nice?

" But ---"

" That's a good idea," the doctor quickly said earning himself a glare but he continued, " she will do a good job with even changing the bandages,"

" Please don't say no," Vanessa said giving me a pleading look,

"look I won't try to throw myself at you but this girl needs help and I promise to keep my hands on you --- I mean off you, I know when to stop when a guy doesn't show interest in me,".she pushed a few strands of hair off her face and if I wasn't a werewolf who recently found his mate, I would have given her a chance.
