Chapter 6

Alpha King Zeus POV

1 and a half years later

Smashing could be heard down a long corridor in the palace, the one that led to the kings and queens quarters. Everyone just steered clear of that room every time he would go in, the queens quarters had always been fully furnished but never had the king found his mate. He had looked far and wide for her but he never found her.

He had thought not only a few months ago to take a chosen mate and give the kingdom an heir but she refused to be marked by him, one day in the servants quarters he found her with her mate who ha known all along and still let her bed the king just to obtain financial gain and position. That tore the king to pieces, o he tore everything he could to pieces, starting with the queens quarters.

Everytime that he came back from a meeting and didn’t find her he went ballistic and tore that room to shreds again.

“My King? I believe that the meeting is beginning in the grand hall with all the Alphas of all the packs, and also we have a newcomer who will definitely be of your interest.” Said the Royal Beta and best friend to the king.

The kings breathing was laboured but he responded as he threw the last punch to the mattress on the floor, “What do you mean? Who is it?”

“Alpha Grier Altose.” said the Beta with finality.

“Well I don’t know any Alpha with that name, I guess if you say so he will be something, I could do with a scrimmage” said the Alpha King with a side glance to his Beta.

“Well it will be something to see, that scrimmage, but first lets get you ready.” Said the Beta not giving away the true meaning of his words.

As the king got ready everyone was in the grand hall awaiting for him including Alpha Grier Altose and one of her Betas and Gamma. It seemed quite hilarious that when someone came to greet the “Alpha”, they greeted her Beta instead. She let it be as none Except Alpha Santos and Pompous Alpha that she was the Alpha not Thaddeus. What a surprise awaited the Alphas.

Just then as Another Alpha wanted to greet Thaddeus, the doors to the grand hall opened and in entered the Alpha-King, all bowed as he passed. A delicious smell that entranced the king made him look all over the hall. His wolf going crazy inside of him to find her, he knew what that smell meant.

“Mate!” the Alpha-King whispered as he looked into the eyes of the only woman present and the only one standing in a corner, “Move aside”, he commanded the Alphas in front of him, they almost ran from the area as soon as the words left his mouth.

As he walked forward to her, he noticed two men getting up ready to defend her but she just lifted her hand and they bowed to her and then to him again as a sign of deep respect. The closer he came to her the more powerful he could feel her aura, which she intentionally let off to how him she was not a weak woman who needed protecting, it was so strong even some Alphas close to her showed their necks in submission.

“You are strong Mate,” the king said earning some gasps amoung the Alphas present, some had brought their daughters with hoping that they would be the king mate, but hadn’t been able to bring them into the hall.

“What is your name Mate? Please tell me?” the king pleaded, earning even more attention from everyone present.

“Grier, Alpha Grier Altose, your Majesty” she said as she bowed to him, he grabbed her by the hand and brought her to him, “You never bow to me, I will always bow to you my Queen,” he said as he bowed deep to her this gained an uproar from the Alphas.

“She cannot be the Alpha! The Alpha is the tall one beside her!” yelled one Alpha that had come to present himself to Thaddeus.

“WHO ARE YOU TO QUESTION MY MATE? MY QUEEN?” roared the Alpha king turning inmediately to the Alpha, he wanted to tear him apart for just mentioning his mates name, but when he felt a small hand on his arm that sent tingles to every part of him he stopped and turned to look at his beautiful mate and queen, “If I may your majesty, may I show my real power? As you may see many here present take my Beta as the Alpha of my pack and I cannot have that kind of confusion. If you will allow it?” said Grier looking the Alpha king in his steel grey eyes that would have brought her to her knees if they were alone.

“What ever you want is yours my Queen.” Said the king

Alpha Grier POV

45 mins prior

Sitting in the car as they had just arrived to the palace for the Alpha meet, Grier was very nervous as she had never thought to be in this kind of event, maybe as Gamma but not as Alpha.

“Stop wringing your dress you look great G” Said her Gamma as he was about to exit the car.

“Its just that I had never been in this situation before and my wolf is going crazy she says we will find what is missing here, but im not sure what she means.” She answered.

“Could be your mate! Or mine you never know” said her Beta.

Suddenly her door was opened and she was helped out of the car by her Gamma. They all entered the palace giving the invitation that had been given to her by Alpha Santos just 3 days before so she couldn’t back out. Martha was so happy to help her that she had made a dress for her in record time, saying that since she had not had a daughter she wanted to make her a dress for her first great event and what an event it would turn out to be.

As they entered the great hall and were presented, many Alphas presented themselves not even bothering to ask who the Alpha was, they just went straight to Thaddeus as he was the most imposing figure amoung the three. He wanted to decline at first but she just made signs to him to not say anything until the moment came.

After taking some refreshments and small talk with other Alphas that were mostly between Thaddeus and the Alphas to which she paid close attention to just to know who was who and where she could be needed or who she could make an alliance with.

The doors opened and the most amazing smell invaded her senses.

¨Mate!!¨ her wolf yipped happily inside of her,¨It cant be¨ she said to her wolf as she looked at the Godlike man striding towards her, everyone bowed as he passed. She was stupefied by his appearance, she hadn’t thought to find her mate and much less that he be the Alpha-King.
