Avery POV
I didn't have to look back to figure out that it was, of course, “The Bully” Aidan Silvester, eldest son of the Silvester family. His mom passed away years ago and you may be wondering why he is not the future alpha of the pack. Well because he is rebellious and a bully.
Even his handsome features, his 6 '2 ft tall, he had that effortlessly rebellious look, one that screamed confidence without even trying. His jet-black hair fell messily across his face, a few strands hanging just above his intense, deep-set eyes. Those eyes—dark and stormy, like they held secrets I couldn’t even begin to imagine—felt like they could see through anyone in the room.
There was a certain sharpness to his jawline, almost sculpted, but softened by the hint of tiredness under his eyes, like he’d stayed up all night or maybe carried a weight he never spoke of.
His style only added to the allure. Dressed in a fitted black shirt that clung just enough to hint at lean muscles beneath, and dark jeans that looked both worn and deliberate, Aidan was the kind of handsome that wasn’t polished but raw.
Silver rings adorned his fingers, and there was a small, intricate tattoo just peeking out from his wrist. He is very rebellious and a big bully.
The reason why I know his descriptions perfectly well is actually because I kind of had a stupid and yet silly crush on him back in mid high school.
But it is all gone now all I have left for him is hatred, pure and raw hatred. I bit down my lower lip till I could taste blood and then went inside the lift with him whilst trying so hard to contain my anger.
“You know I have a name right!” I blurted out in anger and he looked at me bewildered. It was as if he couldn't believe the fact that I have a name.
“Yes?” He c****d his brows, his gaze fixated on me as if he does believe or understand why I want him to use my name. “Try to use that more often!” I said as the elevator chimes in. He took a step forward, that single step made my heart flood with immense relief and then he pauses in his track and my heart skips a bit.
“Nice dress tho, but this shade of pink doesn't do you enough justice,” he said and before I could recover from his critique, he had vanished.
‘What an arrogant jerk, I was just wearing a raspberry pink, Kieran's favorite color and fruit, I usually wear this color when I went to offer him an apology and of course, he can't resist it!’
This is the first time someone made me feel insecure about my looks and to be honest, it hurts and at the same time, it shocks me. If he was aiming to ruin my mood, well he had done just that successfully and without breaking a sweat.
Now I am getting all sensitive and cranky. The moment I near Kieran's room, I heard his rich, loud laughter that calmed me down a bit. I clicked the door open only to find Piper sitting at the favorite end of one couch and Kieran at the opposite and my sister seemed to be narrating something to him.
“And then I yelled Dad, Mom, look Avery just stopped far from bleeding to death. Of course, they were both surprised, stunned and astonished but it was at that very moment that they decided that she was going to be a doctor, not just any doctor but a great one who studied in one of the most exclusive university, Kingston college of medicine, now look at my sister practicing medicine…all thanks to me.” She finally ended as I took a seat next to Kieran.
“Babe,” he called out whilst kissing my cheek and taking a whiff of my hair like he always does.
“Kieran, I missed you,” I whispered, wrapping my hands around his neck but was startled by Piper's voice. “You guys should get a room or something!” she mouthed with disgust on her lips.
One feeling that Piper always fails to hide is disgust, in fact there was one time, she almost got the pack into trouble when she told a rogue alpha, he smelt disgustful, my father was appalled and he apologized profusely. The Alpha on the other hand fumed as they were just about to sign a treaty between the werewolves and the rogues.
“Oh okay fine Piper, I am sorry about this PDA. I shouldn't be doing this right in front of you!” I apologized as I watched Kieran shuffling with the remote. I gulped down and bit down on my lips seductively as I watched his muscles flex as a result of his actions.
“Piper,” I called out her name twice.
“Uhmm,” she responded. It seemed like I had snapped out of her daze.
“Your lipstick is totally ruined probably due to all of your ranting but don't worry I got you sis!” I winked at her before presenting my mind to her. Of course, it was the same shade since Piper asked for recommendations before she got hers and I happily shared it. “I think I should be on my way now, I just remembered that I have to meet a client. She announced standing up to take her leave.
“You really have a lot of explanation and apologies to Avery,” he grabbed my cheeks and punched them.
“I am sorry Kieran, no matter how I explain this, there is no how I will be able to justify not turning up!” I said in a cute and high pitched voice. He likes it when I talk that way.
He said that it kind of tickles him and also I have realized that when it comes with Kieran no amount of explanation would ease his stone heart. It was just better to give in and take responsibility for his listed offenses.
“That's my girl,” he gave me a quick peck on my lips and I cringed a little, not because of his cold lips on mine but because I could smell my deodorant on him. Wait, did he also change his brand to mine? Definitely not, my deodorant is not for male especially for an Alpha like him.
I think I am overthinking this…I must be. Wait Avery, perhaps he got it from his mom shrugged it off. He probably realized my confused look and I had to flash him a smile.
“Now shall we start inviting the special and VIP guests of the day?”
