I  would never have thought that hearing my own name could ever turn me on so much, especially while it was coming from the mouth that was more used to whining and growling than to pronouncing clear words. “Beth,” he repeated weakly after me, and I nodded, trying my best not to look too affected. “Beth,” Jase said again, getting used to the correct pronunciation incredibly fast. I felt a grip on my t-shirt, and suddenly Jase had his nose buried in my skin next to the gauze. “Jase.” He seemed to like my neck a lot. I was proven in the way that he wanted to smell and bit it. Ouch. I trembled. The way in which the names were spoken… and the feelings that came along with them… they both were talking clearly: Beth belonged to Jase. I belonged to him. I turned my head a little so that I could look at him properly. “What?” He stiffened; his lips were still touching the bruised skin gently. I could feel his confusion and worry radiating in waves. “Jase?” I addressed him carefully. Jase lifted his head and looked into my eyes as if he was trying to read my mind. When I didn’t say anything, he pulled away and waited. I could feel his emotions flooding right to me. Through the confusion and desire, I could distinguish hopes and dreams… and fear... Fear? I buried my fingers into his dark brown hair and pulled him closer. “Are you afraid? What is that you’re afraid of?” I asked cautiously and pressed my forehead against Jase’s. Big hands rested on my shoulders. “Beth...” Jase said in a quiet whine, and I could feel his worries. “I’m not going anywhere, Jase. Not now,” I said tenderly, and most likely, it was the tone of my voice that calmed him down. Jase cuddled to me again, resting his head on my shoulder with his nose pressed to my neck. I sighed and hugged him gently. I knew that I was not going to do any work today again.
