Ella’s POV
It’s already dark outside and still Remo didn’t come back. I stayed in my room like he ordered because I was too afraid to leave it.
What if my old pack came back to take me and kill me?
I tried not to cry at the thought, but I can’t shake the look on Dean’s face when I was taken to be killed by his orders.
I felt a panic attack coming and tried to think about something positive, but I couldn’t because every positive thought leads me to the day my parents were killed.
“Let me out!” I chocked out.
I was sitting on the floor shaking. I knew that the door wasn’t locked and I can get out, but I couldn’t get up. So I screamed.
A dark cloud filled my mind and I can see my dad’s blood everywhere on the floor and I crawled away from it.
I kept screaming wanting to get out of my head. I can’t escape my thoughts, and tears started falling on my cheeks.
I can escape this room, but I can’t escape my mind.
“Look at me!” A smooth voice yelled, but I could barely hear it.
My head shot up and my eyes locked with Remo’s grey ones.
Everything slowly faded away from my head and it became clearer. Dad’s blood vanished from the floor and I could see the room better.
“You are okay. I’m here.” Remo said slowly stoking my cheek as I sobbed calming down.
I gasped when Remo lifted me suddenly and put me slowly on the bed.
“I am here.” He said again and I nodded.
I am finally out of my mind. I don’t have anymore dark thoughts as I gazed at my mate.
He had a scowl on his face, his eyebrows furrowing in concern. He had droplets of blood on his face and his eyes were glowing.
“Out!” He barked and I jumped back.
I didn’t notice that Christian and Maddox were here too before. They were both looking at me with scowls.
I must have interrupted them! They are going to be obviously angry with me!
“I-I’m sorry.” I said looking at my hands.
“Why the fück are you sorry?” Remo growled.
My eyes widened at his tone, missing the soothing tone he was using 2 minutes ago.
“Remo it’s better if you come with us.” Christian said.
“No.”
“Just for a few minutes.” Christian put his hand on Remo’s shoulder and squeezed.
Remo’s POV
“She will be fine.” Maddox said nodding at me.
“I will come back.” I rasped and followed them out.
“You have to calm down a bit. She needs to feel safe not ready for any outburst.” Christian said.
“She was screaming! I couldn’t fücking hear her scream and not be angry.” I snapped.
“Your gaze was murderous and she was shaking all the time when she looked into your eyes.” Maddox said.
“Dämn Maddox has never said a full sentence before.” Christian looked in aw with what happened.
“Fine. I will try to calm myself before bursting into the room.” I said heading to the guest’s room.
“Where are you going?“ Christian asked.
“None of your business.” I yelled closing the door behind me.
I entered the bathroom and took off my clothes. When she saw the blood on me, her eyes panicked. I have to clean up before going to see her.
I looked at myself in the mirror, and saw the beast she was seeing before. Glowing eyes, blood everywhere and an angry gaze.
I closed my eyes calming myself down and trying not to shatter the mirror into thousand pieces, when his face started invading my mind.
I can’t get rid of that bästard’s face. Years of misery, pain, anger, and they get erased when I look at her.
But then I see years of pain and abuse in her, and my anger’s source becomes that unworthy alpha.
His time will come, but first I have to reach another goal. I have to relieve my brothers and I from what happened to us.
I took another quick shower and got dressed in some pants and shirt I found here, and went back to Ella.
I knocked on the door, and frowned when I didn’t hear anything. I knocked again, and still no response.
I barged inside, and found her sleeping on the floor. I instantly went to her and picked her up, laying her softly on the bed.
I took a deep breath of her floral scent. She suddenly started whimpering, her eyebrows creasing and she started shaking.
I panicked, and on instinct I instantly picked her back and put her on my lap, holding her tightly to me.
I didn’t know what else to do, but I started rocking her back and forth.
Her whimpering died down slowly. I sighed in relief but didn’t have the will to let her go from my arms, so I laid down on the bed with her sleeping on me.
For the first time in my entire life, I slept with no nightmares of my own.
Ella’s POV
I was laying on a firm surface. Last thing I remember was sleeping on the floor, but now the floor was moving up and down.
My eyes shot open and I jumped, but couldn’t succeed because strong arms were wrapped around me.
I looked up and saw Remo’s sleeping form. He looked so peaceful, that I tried to calm my breathing so that he doesn’t wake up.
I laid my head on his chest and listened to his heartbeats, that seemed to calm my nerves.
Is this how it feels to have a mate?
Suddenly Remo’s eyes shot open and his gaze clashed with mine. He didn’t say anything or move. He just laid there, thinking about god knows what.
“Good morning.” He said gruffly, and the feeling inside my stomach intensified.
I averted my gaze from his face and replied with a small good morning.
My back was now fully healed thankfully, and I don’t feel anymore pain.
Ever since I came here, my body was healing a lot better. No one tried to reopen my injuries, so they don’t take days to heals and I am thankful for that.
“Let’s get up.” I nodded as he helped me to stand on my feet.
He stroked my hair and took my hand towards the bathroom.
“Here get ready and we will have breakfast down okay?” He asked and I nodded.
He reluctantly left my hand and headed to the door, leaving the room.
I sighed and entered the bathroom that’s the size of my old room. I did my business and went to the sink.
I smiled and enjoyed the feeling of the hot water as I washed my face. I always had to take showers in cold water, so I decided to take a shower.
I stripped from my clothes and joined the warm water cascading on my shoulders.
I don’t know for how long I stayed under water, but when I opened my eyes I screamed upon seeing Remo, who advanced me slowly, with hunger in his eyes.
