Chapter 6: Ella’s POV

1143 Words
Ella's POV Both men left me alone in this room again. I was not accustomed to this environment yet. I know that I am safe here, but I can't express it. My mate looks like he is struggling to understand me. Yes I finally came to terms that I have a second chance mate and I accepted it. He hasn't abused me and that's a good sign. For me at least. I know he may not be like my old pack's members, but he is still a king and a Lycan and he must always show his power. The door opened slowly and a petite woman entered the room. She was holding a tray of food. Was this for the king? He is not here. "L-luna. This is for you." She put the tray on the bed. I looked at it, and although my stomach was begging for food, I couldn't approach it. It's a constant feeling that the food will be snatched away from me and my hope will be crashed, just like in my old pack. I stayed silent observing her. She looked really uncomfortable, but it was hard for me to utter a word. I looked back at the food, and tried to reach for it, but stopped myself. I already went through this and it was snatched away from me. I shook my head and she understood what I was trying to say. "As you like, but the king won't be happy that you didn't eat." She took the tray slowly and left the room. "It's for the best." I told myself over and over again until I believed the words. Remo's POV "I don't understand what is happening. She is either crying or whimpering." I punched the motherfücker tied to the chair. The scent of blood filled my nostrils making my head clear. I needed to kill in order to understand my mate. "She has been abused her whole life." Christian shrugged sipping on his drink enjoying the show. I growled and hit the man's skull making more blood spill from the wound. "I fücking know that. And I wanted to kill that bästard, but we need him alive for the time being." I took a deep breath stepping away from the man. "It's a matter of time before he is dead. He just needs to wait a little bit more." Christian replied standing up straight. I never felt this way before. Like no amount of killing would avenge Ella. I never was attached to anyone and I hate it now. I can't see her crying, but I don't know what to do when she does. The moon goddess made a mistake when she paired us together. I can't heal her, and I can't understand her. I don't understand emotions, which make it a lot harder for me to help her. But at the same time, I am a selfish bästard that can't let her go or even wish she wasn't mine. "Just admit that you need my help." Chris smirked and I wanted to punch his face instead of the man tied down. "Fücking fine. I just need to understand what she is feeling." I grumbled. "Are you done here? Feelings class is starting soon." He smiled smugly. "Where the hëll is Maddox?" I snapped the man's neck ending his scream. “Probably terrorizing someone.” Christian’s replied following me out of the dungeon. My wolf was satisfied after that kill, but he was still restless. Ella’s POV My head snapped up when I heard the door opening. King Remo entered the room with his clothes drenched in blood and I gasped. I stood up and tried to run away, but he was in front of me in seconds. His face was emotionless, and I started trembling when he grasped my elbow in his big calloused hand. “P-please let me go.” He growled and pulled me closer, until his scent and touch were all I could think about. “Don’t be afraid of me princess.” He snapped and I flinched. I snatched my elbow from his hand and took a step back towards the bed, but he followed me until I tripped and fell on the bed. He was towering over me, but that didn’t last long, as he laid above me, his face inches away from mine. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, and when he opened them they were glowing. His eyes flickered to my neck and he smirked. Suddenly he started kissing my neck, from behind my ear to my neck bone, and I shivered, a strange feeling warmed my belly. He kept kissing me, and I involuntarily made a sound I never did before, while keeping my eyes shut. I wanted to pull him closer, feel his body heat closer but something stopped me. “I want to mark you princess, but I won’t unless you say I can.” He murmured against my neck, his hot breath hitting it. “S-stop.” I stuttered because at that moment I was going to beg him to mark me, but I knew it was wrong. He twisted a strand of my hair around his finger and looked at my face. “One day you will beg me to never stop.” He said and got up. “I will take a shower, then we will go down so you can eat.” He said and entered the bathroom closing the door behind him. I put a hand over my heart and felt how erratic it was beating. I was breathing heavily replaying what happened in my mind. What the hell happened just minutes ago? I wanted to cry, because I can’t understand what is happening to me. Ivy barely told me about mates. Remo came out seconds later with a towel around his torso, half naked. I gasped, but couldn’t look away. A droplet of water fell from his hair hitting his chest and sliding down towards the towel and disappearing behind it. I blushed and turned around immediately. This man was like no other. He is gorgeous, strong, a king and my mate. And I am lame, always fearful, never trained in my life and his mate. I was not good enough for him, and I knew it. How can he accept me and not reject me? Remo disappeared, probably went to put his clothes on. Suddenly he came out of the walk in closet cursing and looking around the room. “Fück! Listen I have to go. Don’t leave this room no matter what.” He barked running towards the door but stopping suddenly. “Promise me you won’t leave the room.” His voice had a desperate tone to it and I immediately agreed, nodding my head, not trusting my voice with him right now.
