Wanting Talyah- King Draco's POV

1433 Words
As soon as Talyah went into the house, I turned my attention back to Edward. “Please tell me she’s not the one you’re considering?” He asked me. “I don’t know.” I lied. “You don’t know? I’m sorry, but can’t you pick someone of the same age?” I folded my arms and sighed. “She’s 19.” I told him. Edward shook his head at me and I smiled. “Look, I won’t even touch her. That is until she tells me she’s ready.” “I don’t believe you.” “Edward, I’m serious. If it bothers you that much, then I won’t touch her.” Edward squinted his eyes at me, then he nodded his head. “Okay.” He told me. “But, I’m going to keep my eyes on you two.” “That’s fine.”  He turned and we walked back over to the house. We stepped inside and saw the menu, sitting at the table, talking and laughing. Talyah was sitting down as well, cutting the vegetables. She saw me and I gave her a smile. “Benjamin, cut the vegetables for her.” I ordered one of my guards. Benjamin grabbed the knife and the vegetables, then he began cutting the stuff up for her. Taylah got up and walked over to the stove, checking the water to see if it was boiling. Benjamin began cutting the potatoes up for her as well. Talyah grabbed the meat from the bags and she began shredding them into the water. By the time she got the last thing of steak cubes into the water, Benjamin had just finished cutting everything up. He got up from the table and handed Talyah the rest of the ingredients. She poured it into the pot and let the rest of the stuff cook. “Who taught you how to cook?” I asked her as I leaned against the wall.  “My mother.” She announced. “You’ll see at the feast, tonight. My mother knows how to cook for the whole town if she wanted to.”  I smiled and nodded at her. She turned back to my men and they all began to talk at once. How she was with them, socializing and having a great time is what I liked. She was amazing to ,.watch. Edward cleared his throat and I turned to him.  “So, Talyah, what do you do here?” Edward asked. “I work for coin.” Talyah told us. “Um, I milk the cows, clean the horse stables, and other things.”  I squinted my eyes at her. “They have women doing all of that?” I asked her. “Yes, if we want to work for money.” Talyah nodded.  “Hm, that’s not normal.” Edward said. “Why not?” “The women in the Kingdom don’t have to work for pay.”  “Well, why would they? They have everything they could ever want.” Talyah and I stared at each other for a second, then she looked away. She walked back over to the stove and stirred the food.  “Take a seat, your highness.” She instructed. “The food is almost done.”  Edward and I walked over to the table and took our seat. Soon, Talyah started making our plates. She handed Edward and I our plates first, then she moved on to my men. And they gobbled their food down. I smiled as I watched my men eat a hearty meal after that long trip we had taken. They deserved it, too.  One bite of the food and I was in Heaven. Talyah was a very good cook and I liked that. Food was something I enjoyed, along with s*x and the parties I have with friends back at the castle. Once the meal was finished, I decided it was time to take Talyah back. She said her goodbye to the men and Edward and the both of us left the house. We headed back the way we came and that was the perfect chance for me to get to know her more.  “So, Talyah..” I started a conversation. “Tell me about yourself.”  Talyah looked at me with the most prettiest smile ever. “What did you want to know?” She questioned. “I’m a boring person, your Grace.”  “Are you happy here? Do you ever travel?” She shook her head. “I’ve never been. Traveling has been a dream of mine and I have not tried to fulfill it, yet.”  “Where would you go?” “Anywhere. I’m young and I would like to experience many things that other young women like me would like to experience.”  “Does your parents allow that?” She shrugged. “I never really got to ask them.” She smiled.  “You should.” I told her. “I travel all the time. I have a couple more places to travel. Maybe your father would let you and your brother accompany me.”  She nodded before she turned back to the front of her. We got to her part of the town and she stopped as we crossed the bridge.  “Are you serious, your Grace?” She asked me. “Of course.’ I told her. “It wouldn’t hurt to ask.”  She smiled from ear to ear.  “I don’t know what to say. Plus, I’m not sure what Father would think.”  “Like I said, ask him.”  She sighed, but nodded her head. “I definitely will.” She said as we continued on our way to her house. *** We made it back to her house and her father came out as soon as we approached.  “How was the meal, your Grace?” He asked as soon as we approached him. “It was excellent.” I answered. “Your daughter was taught well.”  “Hm… Um, Talyah, can you give me and my friend a minute?” “Sure, father.”  Talyah bowed to me before she turned and walked into her house. My eyes shifted over to Nigel, instantly.  “Can we catch up?” He asked me. “Of course.”  We walked away from the house. He was quiet at first, then a low sigh released from his lips.  “So, what brings you here to Gerinburg?”  “I had to get away from the wife. She’s been causing me nothing, but grief ever since I told her that I wanted divorce.” Nigel stopped and turned to me. “You’re divorcing the Queen?” He asked me. I stopped and nodded. “Why can’t you work it out? Everybody loves Queen Caroline.” “Everybody, but me. I’m not happy and shouldn’t that matter for your King?” Nigel sighed, then he nodded. “You know it is. I’m just… I’m surprised, is all. What about your kids?” “I’ll still see them when I can.” “It seems you’re not happy with them.” “I’m not. None of them are boys. Caroline only gave me girls. I love my daughters very much, but I wanted boys. Lots of them.” “Give it time.” “I have.” He sighed and said nothing else.  “I have a question for you since we’ve been friends for years.” I said to him. “Okay?” “Lucis and Talyah…. I would like them to accompany me.” “For?” I gave him a smile. “It seems you’ve been keeping them in the dark about what you were before you had a family.”  “I have not.” “Then, why can’t they travel with me to the Kingdom?” “I just…. I don’t want them to think that it is a lifetime thing for them. What if something happens to where they must come home.” “That won’t happen. I’ll keep them by my side, everyday and all day. You know me, Nigel. I did the same thing for you.” Nigel chuckled. “I know. Now, be truthful to this next question.” “And what is that?” Nigel stopped smiling and the two of us stared at each other. “Why do you want Talyah?” He asked. I folded my arms in front of my chest and nodded. “I want Talyah to be my mistress.” I answered him, truthfully.
