Talyah’s Point of View
“Wow, you are an amazing cook.” King Draco complimented my mother that night.
“Ha, thank you so much!” Mother chuckled. “Nigel said the same thing when I first cooked for him.”
“And you still are amazing.” Nigel smiled at his wife after taking a bite of the meat.
I finished my food and got up to take my dish to the sink. It was getting dark and the King and I needed to get to the Light Festival. It was going to be exciting to see what he thought about it. I went every year and even I couldn’t wait to go. The Light Festival was something that was relaxing and many people were going to go to hang out. Something I love about the town I stayed in.
“King Draco?” I called his name. “Are you ready to go to the festival with me?”
King Draco looked from me to my father. Father sighed before he nodded his head.
“I’m ready.” He told me as he got up with his dish.
“I’ll take it.” Mother walked over to King Draco and took the dish from him.
King Draco nodded and looked at my father.
“I’ll join you guys in a bit.” Father told us.
“Okay.” I smiled, then turned to King Draco. “Shall we go?”
King Draco looked at me and nodded.
“Thank you for the delicious meal.” King Draco said to my mother as we walked over to the door.
“Oh, you’re welcome.” Mother told him. “Talyah, don’t run off.”
Draco and I walked out of the house and headed over to the streets where the festival was. Everything was lit up. People were out talking and dancing to the music that was playing. Vendors were out there, selling food to the locals. Even they were having a good time.
“King Draco!” Someone shouted the King’s name.
We both turned as we saw Edward rushing over to us.
“Edward, how is it?” King Draco asked.
“It’s amazing.” Edward boasted. “It’s a beautiful festival.”
“Well, we’re happy you guys are enjoying it.” I told him.
King Draco looked at me and I blushed before I looked in another direction. I spotted Evans in the crowd with his family. He looked over at me and gave me a small smile. I nodded my head at him and I noticed him walking over to me.
“Wow, Talyah, you’re so beautiful.” He told me as soon as he approached me.
“Thank you, Evans.” I smiled. “You’re looking good yourself.”
He grabbed my hand, holding it in his for the longest time. It made me feel a certain way. I’ve never had a guy touch my hand.
“Talyah, I would like for us to talk.”
I’ve been blowing him off and I didn’t want to upset my friend any longer. Nodding, I turned to King Draco and cleared my throat to get his attention. Draco looked at me and his eyes automatically went to Evans.
“Can you give me a second, Your Highness?” I asked.
“I’ll be here.” He told me, then turned back to Edwards.
“Don’t go far.” Edwards told me.
I nodded and Evans guided me away from the others. He led me over to a dark and empty area between the houses, then released my hand.
“Are you okay?” I asked Evans. “You’ve been acting so weird today. What was up with the roses? You’ve never given me flowers before.”
Evans turned to look at me.
“Talyah, we’ve been friends for five years.” He reminded me. “Why have you not noticed anything?”
“What am I supposed to notice?”
“Everything!”
I jumped when he yelled.
“Evans, what’s wrong? I’m not a mind reader, so you need to tell me what you are feeling.”
“Talyah, I’m in love with you.”
My eyes widened when he told me that. I squinted my eyes at him before I looked down at my shoes.
“I’m sorry, Evans. I had no idea.”
Evans lifted my head up with his finger and gently moved me until my back touched the cold stone walls of the house.
“Evans…” I whispered his name.
“Give yourself to me.” He whispered back. “My c**k begs to enter you.”
He pressed his lips on my neck and I’ve never felt that before. His lips sent a tingling sensation inside of me and I release a soft moan, hoping he didn’t hear me. But, he did. His hands traveled to my breast, giving it a tight squeeze. Then, he pulled his mouth from me and our eyes met up again.
“I want you as my wife, Talyah.” Evans told me.
I backed up and he looked at me, confused.
“Evans, you’re talking about something I might not be ready for.” I told him.
“It’s okay. I know it’ll be new to you. Hell, it’ll be new for me to be your husband, but I will show you so much love. We’ll have a beautiful family and I know you’ll be happy.”
Family?
“I’ll ask your father.” He brought up. “I know it’s not proper unless I talk to him, but I wanted to tell you what was on my mind.”
“Evans…”
“I can’t wait to get you in the bed. I want to hear your moans in my ear as we make love to each other. My mother and father told me s*x should be with the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. I believe it’s you, Talyah.”
I shook my head. Evans placed his hands on my backside and moved away. His c**k pressed against my thigh and I stood there, frozen.
“Talyah, you’re still pure, right?” He asked me.
“Evans, stop!”
I pushed him off me and he stared back at me like he was offended. Evans was great and all, but… He was talking nonsense. If he wanted to marry me, he should’ve talked to me and my family before now. I couldn’t give him my answer right away. That was too rushed for me.
“Talyah, I love you.”
“That’s great, Evans. However, I don’t feel the same as you.”
Evans didn’t say anything. My eyes scanned his face and I could sense anger in him.
“Why?” Evans asked me as he pressed against me more.
“Evans, please stop.” I begged. “I’m trying to be honest and you’re freaking me out.”
“Because you’re not considering my feelings!”
Evans grabbed my hand, squeezing it with all his might. That was not the Evans I knew at all. I tried to pull back from him, but he kept hurting me.
“EVANS, STOP!!” I screamed out loud.
Nobody could hear me over the loudness of the music. People were having a good time that they didn’t notice me being in danger by my long time friend.
“Since you don’t feel the same way I do, I’ll just have to show you my love.”
Evans forced himself on me, kissing my face and moving to my neck.
“GET OFF ME!” I yelled as I tried to get him away.
He was heavier than I, no doubt, but I was not going to let him take advantage of me. I wanted to save myself and that was going to always be my plan.
“I take it she gave you her answer.” I heard a familiar voice.
Evans released me and I turned my head to King Draco, who was walking over to us. Oh, thank goodness he showed up. I was so scared to even be alone with Evans even more.
“King Draco, I’m sorry for bothering you.” Evans told him. “I was just having words with her.”
“Words? From here, it looked like you were trying to force yourself on her.”
I covered my chest up and moved closer to King Draco.
“I want her as my wife and she refused.” Evans told him.
“So, you force yourself on her? Is that how you get what you want from women?”
“She’s my first.”
“And she’s going to be your last. Guards!”
A few of Draco’s guards came over to the King’s side. Evans tried to back up, but the guards grabbed him and tied his hands behind his back.
“Take him to the Baron.” Draco told them. “Let him deal with him.”
Evans shook his head as the guards started moving, pulling him along.
“PLEASE, DON’T DO THIS!” Evans shouted before he turned to the corner.
King Draco turned to me and I looked up at him.
“Are you okay?” He asked me.
I nodded, still covering myself.
“I’m fine.” I told him. “Thanks for helping me. For a second, I thought nobody was going to hear me.”
“It’s okay. And I’m happy I did.”
We stood there for a second and I noticed King Draco kept staring at me.
“King Draco?” I called his name.
“Yes?” He answered.
I looked down at my feet once more and released a sigh from my lips.
“Do you have something you want to ask me?”
King Draco didn’t respond.
“You’ve been through a lot.” He told me. “I don’t want to bring it up.”
He turned to leave, but I grabbed his hand and pulled him back to me.
“Please, tell me.”
He nodded his head.
“Tonight, I might be leaving early.” He announced.
My eyes widened. Why? I mean, he just got there.
“Why? Is it me?”
“Talyah, look…”
“No, is it me? Was it because I didn’t spend time with you at the festival?”
King Draco shook his head and chuckled.
“No, beautiful. It’s not that.”
I stopped talking when that word left his mouth.
“I asked your father if I can have you as a Mistress. He wasn’t happy about it, so I don’t want to stay too long since I upsetted my friend.”
A Mistress?
“Why a Mistress?” I asked him.
He crossed his arms and sighed.
“Because I’m still married.” He told me.
I nodded my head and continued to stare at him. He turned back to the festival, then back to me.
“We can still enjoy it if you want to.” He told me.
“Do you think I’m not worth it?” I asked him.
He squinted his eyes, trying to figure it out.
“What do you mean?” He asked me.
“I know what a Mistress is, King Draco.” I told him. “Do you think I’m not worth it to be your Queen?”
King Draco moved closer to me and I drew in that scent of his. He smelled so good to me. My eyes lifted up to his and he lowered to where his lips almost brushed against mine.
“You think I don’t want you?” He asked me.
“Do you?”
“Talyah, we just met today and already, you have me craving you. I wanted you as soon as I saw you.”
“Then, take me.” I told him.
He was thrown by my words.
“If you want me like you say you do, take me. I just have one question for you.”
“Ask away.”
“How will you treat me?”
He pulled me closer, his soft hand caressing my back, gently.
“I’ll treat you the way I would treat my Queen, if I still loved her.”
He released me and walked away.
“Then, you let me talk to my father.” I told him. “Stay like you wanted to and I will talk to him. Can my brother come as well?”
“Yes, I want him as well.”
King Draco stopped and looked back at me.
“And I’ll stay… Just because you asked me to.”
