Demetri was complaining about everything the whole ride and Sophia sometimes agreed with the things he said. Like why did they have to wake up so early, it's not like the Royal Boutique will close by the time they got there.
Theodore had approached her before they left and told her not to trust anyone except his brother and Artemis. Sophie had just nodded her head, agreeing with him not wanting to start a fight or something. Theodore gave her a small smile then and kissed her forehead before he vanished inside his study room. She stood frozen on her spot until her brother's mate came and put her inside the car they were driving to get to their destination.
Demetri seemed upset about something - probably because he had to wake up at five in the morning. Artemis seemed to be the only one who was happy to be there and the one that didn't mind getting up so early.
How can she be so happy and not sleepy? Sophie thought as she looked outside the window, watching as trees disappeared and houses appeared in their place.
That's usually the time when I wake up for my morning training. A voice answered her question and she gasped as she looked over at her friends. With her eyes wide, she asked again.
"How did you do that?"
"Do what?" Demetri asked as he pulled over at shop which had two creepy guys waiting outside. They were both dressed in black and had hoods over their heads so you couldn't see their faces.
"Talk in my head" she eyed the guys who didn't seem to notice them and got out of the car. Don't trust anyone. His warning kept replaying inside her head and she grimaced when they turned their head towards her.
"Oh, that's just the mind link. Everyone in any pack has it but you can only talk with people of your pack not other packs" Artemis explained and walked inside the boutique not giving the guys a second glance. The Prince gestured for her to get inside and she reluctantly stepped into the shop, still eyeing the men. Don't trust anyone.
"These are the elite guards. They are here for your protection" she nodded and followed the redheaded girl who was grabbing the dresses she liked. She gave Sophie half of them and told her to get inside to change.
She walked inside the room the boutique had and took off her jeans and blouse. She grabbed the first dress and put it on. It was a black strapless dress, too tight for her liking. It looked like a second skin. It reached just about her knees.
She walked outside and immediately went to change when Artemis grimaced and told her that it was too revealing. She grabbed the second dress and tried it on. It was a lilac long-sleeved dress that reached her thighs and had a V-neck.
She walked outside, frowning. Artemis was sitting on the couch along with Demetri and both of them shook their heads no. "It just doesn't show: Hi, I'm Sophia Athena Grace and I'm the King's mate".
"How do you know my middle name?" she asked, curiously. The redheaded she-wolf laughed. "I'm dating your brother, silly". Right.
"Next!" Huffing she walked inside the dressing room and grabbed the last dress. It was a light blue dress that reached her ankles. It was long-sleeved with a V-neck. It had pearls at the bottom of it.
She walked outside and huffed again. "I don't like any of them. Theodore is going to look like a God next to me while I'll look like a plastic doll".
"That's why I'm here" Artemis laughed as she disappeared into a room. Demetri laughed at his redheaded friend and smirked at his Queen. "You think my brother is a God?" Sophie blushed and looked down when he started laughing even more.
"Soph" she looked up, her face red. Artemis and another woman with black hair were standing in front of her. "This is Alicia Arreston, she runs this boutique. She's going to help you find the perfect dress".
"My Queen" she bowed and Sophie immediately helped her stand up. Alicia was a middle-aged woman. She was wearing a grey dress and a coat over it. It's like she just got here. I knew we got here too early.
Demetri started laughing again while Artemis playfully glared at her. "What colour would you preferred it to be?" she got a notebook and started writing something on it. Sophie bit her lip as she looked around the shop for inspiration.
"I love the colour red" she answered, the blush fading.
"Do you want it to be a ball gown or a simple dress?"
Artemis answered this time, clapping her hands. "Ballgown, please".
"Anything else? A V-neck? Long-sleeved or short-sleeved?"
"I don't want a V-neck and I want it to be short-sleeved, please" she smiled.
"Your dress will be ready in two days, My Queen. Do you want me to deliver it to the castle or will you be coming here to try it and get it?" she asked, as she put the notebook on the table next to her.
"I'll be coming here to get it, I guess" she answered after Artemis and Demetri nodded in agreement.
"Great, what about the shoes now?"
"Oh, don't worry about those. I have the perfect black heels in my room. She'll wear those" Artemis smiled and Sophie from when she heard she had to wear heels. Demetri got up and opened the door for both of them.
"See you in a few days, Alicia"
"Bye, Mrs Arreston"
"Oh dear, please call me Alicia. I'll see you in a few days". The door closed and Sophie sighed. Those two were still there and she couldn't help but be cautious about them. Demetri opened the door for her to enter but before she could take another step, someone grabbed her arm.
One of the guys that are supposed to be in the King's Elite team was holding her back. The other one grabbed the other arm and they both started chanting Latin. Warlocks.
"Help" Demetri ran forward but before he could fight them, they disappeared into thin air, leaving the Prince and the palace's best fighter trying to find a way to inform the King about this.
Their Queen was kidnapped by the Warlocks.
