The house

Jacob and I were up early. The stress of waiting for the bank finally caught up with us.

We made sure we were on time. With our hands shaken, we approached the front desk.

""Hello",the clerk spoke quietly. "How can we help you today?. "

Jacob answered. "We are here to see Mr Rally."

"Yes, you are Mr and Mrs. Gallo. Please follow me."As we walked into his office, I thought my heart skipped a few beats.

"Welcome, please have a seat. I have good news for you today. The Kent's excepted your offer. But there are a few stipulations"

. "One is that the flower bed on the side lawn can never be removed. Two , the big bay window in the dining room can never be replaced. Those two things were the last things Mrs. Kent's dad put in before he passed."

Jacob and I looked at each other. We both said yes at the same time.

Great, then let's get the paperwork started. You can have the keys as soon as next week. With no one living there and yous are paying cash. Everything will move along pretty fast. Excuse me while I get the papers for you to sign.

It seemed like hours, but in all truth, it was only 30 minutes. Mr. Rally came in with all the paperwork.

There are highlighted spaces where we need you to sign. Jacob and I signed all the spaces and took a big sigh afterward.

Jacob made arrangements for our money to be transferred . That part was easy for the work accounts were already here cause we used this bank. We shook hands and parted ways.

Mr. Rally said, " I will call you when I have everything transferred.."

I just couldn't hold it back any longer. The tears started to flow, and our dreams were coming true. Kat will be so excited when we tell her tonight.

Jacob and I headed to our favorite restaurant. Lunch was awesome as usual, and the drink was much needed. As we were heading home, I couldn't stop thinking about the house.

I asked Jacob to please stop at the local Walmart. I ran in and grabbed all the items I needed to make our favorite cake and some ice cream and chocolate syrup. It is time to celebrate and relax.

. To my surprise, I ran into Maddie.

"Well, hello, Mrs. Gallo, I heard coming from behind me. "

"Oh, hello, Maddie. How are you?"

"We are all fine. Looks like you are having a party."

"No, I'm just celebrating . "

"Celebrating what my I ask. "

"We had good news this morning. Jacob and I got the house we have been praying for."

"Congratulations, we're are you moving to?."

"I don't know of that town . But it must be a nice place or you wouldn't be going there.'

Jacob and I headed home. After diner we sat and watched some TV.

Soon, the phone rang. it was Kat.

"Hello Kat, how are you doing?. "

"I am so happy. We got to see lots of things in the museum and castle. Candy, you would love the pool. I got to wear my new bathing suit. I am having so much fun. "

Lisa got on the phone, and her and Jacob talked while I got the cake and ice cream.

Jacob finished his cake and ice cream. Totaley, unaware of what happened next, I busted out laughing.

"Jacob, did you really just throw ice cream on me ? "

"Yes, I did . "

Well, now you're in for it. Picking up my spoon, I flung cake his way.

Acting like kids, we were in a full-on food fight. Grabbing me up, Jacob squeezes me and kisses my cake covered face. "Yum, you taste good."

Before we knew it, we were on the floor naked and covered in cake, ice cream, and chocolate syrup . kissing and touching each other, our senses heightened .

Feeling satisfied, we both fell asleep on the floor. Only to be wakened by the sounds of sirens.

Jacob goes to the window.

"What is going on? "

"I think our neighbors finally hurt each other. One of them is being loaded in the ambulance."

Jacob turned to me and asked. "Did you know that Nathan was on the ambulance crew? "

"I just saw him get in the driver's side."

After talking a little more, we both settled down and went to sleep.

Maddie waited up for Nathan. It was so late that Maddie had already left a message at work, saying they wouldn't be in till the afternoon.

"Nathan, what happened that they called you out to drive?. "

"Nothing but a call off. The one driver couldn't make it in, so they asked me to fill in. I was really hoping I wasn't called out."

"It was an older couple on Pine Street that shot each other. The husband didn't make it, but the wife did. Let's get some rest . It's been a long day. "

Before going to the office, Nathan stopped by the hospital. Walking into her room, he had a frown on his face.

" You weren't supposed to kill him," he'd said to her in a harsh voice.

It would be nice if we had the keys by then.Just then our phone rings.

"Mr. Gallo, this is Mr. Rally. I would like you to stop by the bank today and pick up the keys. All the paperwork is done and filed."

"Payment has been received. It's all ready for you. "

"Oh, Kat will be so happy to know we are going to start moving."

I can't wait. Jacob and i stopped by the bank and picked up our new house keys.

" Let's go to the Frog for lunch. I could eat one of their salads."

After ordering, we sat there talking about all the things we wanted to do to the house.

"Hello there," As we looked up, we saw Nathan standing there.

Jacob was polite and talked for a few moments. He explained that we were celebrating the good news.

"What's that, may I ask?"

"Candy and I just bought a house up in Kryton. We will be moving in a few weeks."

"Congratulations," Nathan said and excused himself.

"Jacob, every time I come here, he is here. That just seems creepy to me. "

"Oh, Candy, you are overreacting. Relax, soon we won't be in this city. "
