explanation to new family

Gina POV

We are sitting in Axels office, and it's impressive. In fact, the whole place looks amazing.

His Office has a big solid oak desk infront of a window, the size of a whole wall, looking out onto a thick woods, wolves and people all walking around and I was blown away and I cant tear my eyes away.

We were in the office with Charles and Di, mandy, Nate, Alia, Paula, Shane, and his parents, Daniel and Sue. I'm so distracted that when I felt a cold hand pull on my arm, I screamed and lifted my hands to stop a hit connecting with my face clutching my eyes shut. Waiting for it, but it never came. Instead, it was the touch of my mate, soarks circling my body, and I'm back to my senses. What the hell was that, I thought I was past all this fear and shittyness. I opened my eyes when I felt Axels kiss on the top of my head and him whispering that I was safe. Releif washes through me, then embarrassment as I see everyone in the room look at me in horror, except Alia she had understanding in her eyes.

I have no idea where that came from.

'I'm sorry Gina, I was asleep' Dakote voice sounding sad 'it's ok, I was just startled' I reassured her but she huffed at herself 'I'm fine, you go back to sleep we are with family' but I could feel her uneasiness 'honestly no-one here will hurt us' I say and she reluctantly goes to the back of my mind.

"Are you ok dear" Di asked and I could see the confusion in all their faces "I'm fine" I tried to give them a smile "I would never hurt you" mandy was hurt and I instantly felt bad "I know, I feel it" I say hoping she understands but I wouldn't think any of them would until I tell them about me, I'm scared of saying it out loud especially infront of Axel. I don't want him to look at me with pity.

"I'm not sure what I did" Mandy said quietly and I can see it weighing on her mind already and I wish to take that away "there's is a reason but it's not you honestly" maybe that would be enough but looking at them waiting for me to carry on made it clear it wasn't "can we all sit, there's a lot for me to tell" I ask quietly "you don't need to explain to anyone" Axel said looking around the room and all eyes look anywhere but at us. He's sweet, and I'm grateful that he has my back.

"I'd like to explain everything to you too, I think it's important.. plus, it will explain the question I'm going to ask after. " he looked just as confused but agreed.

We are all sat down, but I look at Alia. I'm not sure if I should say in front of her, "Alia.. I'd understand if you want to wait outside, it's.. it's going to be hard to hear" but she shook her head "I don't want to leave" she said determined "ok but if you need to just go ok" I give her a smile as she nodded ok.

"I lived in a house, well I used to clean the house but lived in the rubbish pantry, only allowed out to cook, clean and technically be their slave from as far back as I can remember" the women in the room gasped "they were my parents, my 2 brothers but I was treated like I was nothing. I got beaten, hit with things, glasses smashed on my head and when they saw fit they would lock me in that pantry for days with nothing I jad to sneak bits of left over food from the rubbish and sneak little drinks of water when I could" Axel pulled me onto his lap and hugged me inhaling my scent 'he's just calming down' Dakote explained 'what should I do' I wasn't sure 'just give him a minute' so that's what I did, I looked around the room and all the mates where comforting eachother.

"I can stop if it's too much," I offer because I'd never want to upset them.

"It's your story to tell, we just wasn't expecting it" Di sniffled "ok well I was trying to find an escape but I was sold before that could happen" the men growled lowly but I knew it wasn't aimed at me. It was probably hard to hear, but I think it's best to tell them everything from the start.

"I was taken to a horrid place where there was other girls, including Alia" I smiled at her which she returned "we were saved by my Axel and Shane with the help of Alpha Jim and his men. Definitely not forgetting Paula. " I smiled at Paula and Shane.

"Wow that's amazing but why has it taken you weeks to return home son" Di asked looking at us "that would also be my fault and I apologise for keeping him from you" but Axel tenses "you don't get to apologise for being in a coma" he said and everyone was confused again "Gina got us out before we knew any kind of rescue was there. She helped us out but she was held back" Alia cried I hated seeing her upset I got off Axels lap and walked to her, I knelt down infront of her taking her hand "I'm fine now but I'd do it all again for you, for any of you" I said looking at Paula with a smile and Alia wrapped her small arms around my neck "I would for you too" her soft vouce said as I stroke her hair giving her a minute.

"Is that why Gina was in a coma, son" Charles asked diverting attention to my mate "yes dad by the time I got there, she was in bad shape and I almost lost her but she's strong" he said proudly and his eyes were already on me as I looked up.

"That's when I met Selene, and she explained everything," I said, giving Alia a kiss on her head and standing back up, walking to my mate. "Wait.. what" Mandy was shocked "Selene as in our goddess Selene" Di asked "yes" was all I said with a smile "like our moon goddess Selene" Sue spoke for the first time and I giggled "yes, she explained about the supernatural world, that I was a werewolf amd I've had my wolf since I was a baby. Only she was binded for my safety, and I was given to the people who I spent years thinking they were my family.. my real family thought they had given me to a safe and loving home" "how can you have a wolf from a baby" Mandy asked amazement in her eyes making me smile "my wolf is Dakote, she is the daughter of Selenes own wolf and I'm a Royal. My family was murdered for the thrown. " It sounds crazy when I say it out loud."Wait.. are you saying your the Queen of werewolves" Di asked "yes I am" and they all got down on one knee baring their necks "please don't do that" I pleaded it didn't feel right "our Queen, we pledge to you" they all said still kneeling "please ask them to get up" I ask Axel but he just smiles "they are showing you their respect my love" "ok Thankyou but please get up, we are family" I say hoping they would listen I look up at Nate, Shane and paula who were at least stood but still baring their necks. I roll my eyes. "I don't feel like a queen yet. Can we please just be a family?" I almost begged as that's what I hope for the most.

They were all looking at me like I had 3 heads.

"We are your family it's just a lot to take in, so unexpected," Charles said, looking between me and Axel.

"I just need a home, Alia needs a home and there's so much more to talk about but I just need to know that yous in this room are going to treat me like me and not a Queen" I need to make it clear and they seem to understand thankfully.

Now, to explain everything else that Selene explained.
