arriving home

Axel POV Over an hour to go before we reach home, and I'm on cloud nine. I couldn't hold back when I kissed her, it was just gut reaction and it was the best kiss I've ever had, the connection I felt from that simple but mind blowing contact was enough to do me in. I had to stop while I could. Both Blaze and I were getting carried away. I could feel her also getting carried away, and when we pulled apart, my heart leapt for joy when I heard that 3 letter word stumble from her pretty little mouth. It did upset me that I allowed myself a split second to lose control because in that seccond of weakness, I had taken her first kiss. If I'd known at all, then I would have held back even if it took all my strength to do so. She deserves the best in everything, and from this point, I vow to give her that. I'm elated to be the first to kiss my mate, though, and I also get to be her first of many things. I'm currently sitting here listening to her laugh at stories from Nate and Chris. Hearing her is like music, and it's the best sound I've ever had the privilege of listening to. I know she is caring towards everyone, and I love that about her, but Shane linked me to tell me she wanted to speak to Paula because she was worried about her. My sweet, loving mate was making sure Paula was ok about leaving her family. It amazes me how someone who was obviously abused turned out to be a kind and pure soul. I see how much she wants to protect Alia, and truth be told, it was a massive turn on watching her. I would be lying if I said I wasn't shocked finding out Alia was a Rogue. I should have smelt it on her but with her not having a wolf yet we would only smell Rogue on her because she would have been around Rogues and would have been covered with their scents, you would know one was close because their scent is different. It's a strong smell of something burning. She must have been away from them long enough for it to disappear. My pack is a very strong and powerful pack, so we don't see a lot of Rogues, but we do get a wiff of them sometimes when they have passed by. We have always treated them as a threat, and it wasn't until Alia that I actually realised we shouldn't be treating them all the same. Looking at the state Alia was in when she arrived at Jims pack I'd say some need our help and that is something I'm Gina would be happy to put in place too when she leads the werewolves. She is our queen, and I'm sure she will do everything in her power to protect those who need it. I'll definitely speak to her about it, but for now, I'll put in place an order to help any that cross our pack that needs it. We are almost home now, and I can't wait for everyone to meet Gina. 'Dad we are about 15minutes out' I link with happiness 'ok son we will be waiting outside, see you soon' and he cuts the link 'hi son how is she, I bet she is beautiful, is she nice, how did she find the travel, I wonder what sh-' 'mum we will be there soon' I cut her off. She is excited to meet Gina. I just hope she doesn't scare her. Not in a bad way, but mum is the most loving woman I know. I just hope she isn't too much for Gina because it's going to be all new to her. 'Ok, rude much.. I'll see you when you get here.' she chuckles and cuts the link. "We are almost there," I smile across at Gina. I see her gulp on nerves, so I take her hand and bring it to my mouth and kiss it. Her skin is so delicate and soft I want to get lost in her and it's taking everything in me and Blaze to hold back because we know she hasn't been brought up as a werewolf and so everything will have to be at a lot more slower pace. "I'm so happy but nervous," she says quietly, and I'd do anything to make her feel better. I have noticed she doesn't seem as scared or as intimidated as when she first woke up, and if I'm honest, that's a great thing, and I'm thinking that's thanks to Dakote. "I'm happy also, but if it gets too much, just say ok," I reassured her, to which she nodded ok. We get to the gates and our men are lined up ready for anything until they realise it's us they bare their necks and Benji steps upto the car as I roll the window down "Alpha it's good to have you back" he said motioning for the gates to be opened "thanks Benji, hows the perimeter" I asked but from what I could see all was good "all clear, no pronlems Alpha" just as I suspected "great I'll be calling a pack meeting soon, when I do you know the protocol" and he nods his head ok "yes Alpha" and we drive on.
