I really need to mark Gina. It's been horrendous trying to keep Blaze at bay. Not only do I want to see my mark on her, but I know it will calm Blaze down enough to function.

I've got to admit I was so turned on when she put her foot down. Wow, seeing her take charge when we went to see the Rogue camp almost tipped me over the edge.

The group wasn't anything like I was expecting at all.

The oldest in the group I wouldn't call them elderly, as Linzi did, they both looked to be about 50 years old, the younger adults I'd say between 20 and 30 years old and the pups ranged from around 1 year old to 8 years old.

It shocked me to find out they had fled their pack because wolves wouldn't dream of doing such a thing. Something must have been bad enough for them to voluntarily turn rogue, or they have fled because they had done something terrible.

Depending on what is said while we chat, we will determine what will happen, but I can't risk my pack. If they have done something terrible, they will have to leave.

Sat in my office, I watch their every move. The pups are sat on the floor colouring with paper and pens that Gina had given them, except the youngest, she is asleep in his mums arms. I look at the adults and wonder what could have happened to get them in this predicament.

"I'm so happy you have let us help you." Gina smiled at them as she sat down next to me.

They all gave her a small smile back. "Thank you." Martha smiled back. I could see they were nervous, so I decided to stay quiet as Gina started the conversation.

"Can I ask what happened with your old pack?" she got straight to the point, which surprised me as I was expecting her to talk first.

"It was no longer the pack it once was," Harry spoke for the first time. "How so?" Gina asked, and Martha took Harry hand.

"Our Alpha died, and while our Luna and pack was grieving, we were defeated by a rival pack.

Their Alpha took over our land and extended his territory, but he's not a good Alpha.

Our pack started getting smaller and smaller until there was hardly any of us left. So many before us fled and others killed because he saw them as traitors. We tried to stick it out for as long as possible, but when he told all men were to be in his army, we knew then that he had intentions that we would not fight for. That was when the rest of our pack fled most going to surrounding packs, the packs that their family originated from, or where they had family," Harry explained "why didn't you" Gina asks "because we grew up in that pack. We were the only pups our parents had, and both sets of our parents died.

Before that, Alpha took over it was a beautiful and peaceful place. Now it's filled with hate and cruelty," Martha explained, "who is the Alpha?" I ask, and Martha gulps "Alpha Connor White, of the HoodedHound pack," and I knew then they were telling the truth.

We've had a few reports about this pack, but when the council investigated, they found no crimes being committed. The investigation took place about a year ago, and even though the pack was unkept and some of the members looked uncared for, the council gave him time to clean up his act or he would be removed as Alpha and the pack would be given a new Alpha or the last resort disbanded.

"What happened to your Luna? Did she flee, too?" Gina asked, and Martha started crying "no and we so wished she had. Our Alpha and Luna were young. Alpha Tylor had taken over from his dad, Alpha Marcus, when he kept being ill. It was strange because weres don't get illnesses as such. Whatever it was, it eventually got to the point he couldn't walk and talk, so Alpha Tylor took over. Then Alpha Marcus returned to our goddess, and Luna Dione died from the heartbreak a few weeks later. Alpha Tylor pulled it together and dragged us out of a dark place as we all loved our Alpha and Luna. After about a year, the illness that took Alpha Marcus was attacking Alpha Tylor. He died in the same way. Our Luna Carmen refused to bow down and take Alpha Connor as her mate and give him a pup. After months of her refusing him, he made up a lie about her being a traitor, trying to plot against him and executed her in the pack garden for us all to see, that was the night we fled" wow that is f****d up.

"I'm so sorry," Gina said, wiping her eyes.

"Can you give us a minute?" I said, holding my hand out for Gina to take, which she did. Nate stayed in the room while we stood in the hallway to talk. This is the other reason I want to mark her so we can link.

I know I could do the ceremony to join her and Nate yo the pack, as we did for Paula, but then they would all know about Gina being the Queen.

"What do you think?" I ask her "what do you mean" She asks me back "well, do you want to ask them to join our pack or I could recommend another pack" I ask and she jumps at me kissing my face everywhere. I hear giggles behind me from a couple of omegas.

"Really, that's ok.. I was a little nervous to ask about them joining us. " she smiled so big."You never have to be nervous, this is your pack too. " I state the obvious, making her smile even wider. "Yes, that's a great idea," she giggled "ok great, I just need to ask a few questions, then we will offer a home to them." I smile.

"Come on," she all but drags me in the door.

"Ok, just a few more. Gina smiles at them. I love seeing her happy.

"Can I ask about Penny, Zara, and Lenny? Were you originally from a pack?" I ask, and they all paled and shook a little."n.no.. A. Alpha" Zara stuttered "we were born rogues, Alpha, we lived in a small rogue group and grew up together, " Lenny explained further, taking his mates hand. "Where is your group now?" Gina asks, almost on the edge of her seat.

"About a year or so ago, we were attacked. The she-wolves and pups were taken, and the men died. My mum, dad and us escaped, barely" he said with a look of horror on his face "where are your parents" I ask and his face turns to heartbreak "my parents tried to get us help by going to the closest pack. We were told to hide until they came back, but they never did, " he explains, and I hear the sob from next to us. The oldest girl stood and walked to her brother, crying on his shoulder.

This is all awful.

Gina stood and knelt in front of the little girl before I could blink. She gently rubbed her back until she calmed down. "Hi sweetheart, I'm so sorry you had to go through that." The little girl was weary at first, but as soon as Gina was talking, she relaxed. She gave a small nod and smile and sat on her brothers knee.

"I know we are going to be great friends." Gina smiled at her, and the little girl looked like she liked that idea.

Gina came back to sit next to me, and I gave her a nod that I was done.

She smiled so big "we would love to offer you a home with us, in our pack" she beamed with so much happiness and so did Martha and Harry "thank you so much, we would love that" Martha smiled but the younger of the group didn't. "I mean no disrespect at all Alpha, Luna, but why would you offer Rogues a home?" Lenny asked, and I understood why.

Rogues would never be allowed on pack territory at all, let alone invited to join.

"We realise that being rogue doesn't always mean the worst." I smiled at Gina, but I could tell they still weren't convinced,"my mate found me. I wasn't in the best shape. Me and Alia, my sister, were technically Rogues and I'd never judge anyone that has that title as it means nothing in comparison to someones character and kindness" My beautiful mate makes me so proud and looking at everyone else in the room they were in shock.

"If you agree then I'll ask Betsy, to show you around and you will also have a choice between rooms in the pack house or a small family home separate that is in the surrounding area" they look blown away "thank you, we have tried so hard to keep everyone safe.. you have no idea what this means to us, " Martha cries. She gets down on her knees and bares her neck "our Alpha and Luna, we owe you everything" she says as the others do the same except Zara, her pup was still sleeping in her arms.

Fresh start for them.
