Gina POV

The hot spray of water hitting my aching and tired body feels great. Actually, it feels amazing. My muscles begin to relax, and it's just what I need.

I know I should wash and get out, but I don't want to move just yet.

5 more minutes..

To be honest, it's been longer than 5 minutes, but I have finally decided to get my ass into gear. I shampoo my hair, washing all the grime away, rinsing and shampooing again. I love the shampoo Axel got me. It smells so nice. I'm not sure how long it will take me to get used to my new life completely, but it still feels a little weird to be able to shower when I want and eat what I want. I rinse again and condition. I leave it on to do its thing while I scrub my whole body clean.

I rinse my hair and body for the last time, I take a deep, sad breath, knowing I was leaving the hot spray of amazingness. I wrap the fluffiest towel known to man around me and brush my teeth.

I dress in a blue summer dress and sandles. Quickly drying my hair.

Nate was right.. I feel loads better for having a shower.

I open the bedroom door, ready to head to the office. Stood against the wall is Nate "hey you ready?" he asks, making me smile."Yes, I think so." I groan because all I want to do is sit down, causing him to laugh. "What's your plans?" I ask. "I'm meeting up with Billy and Zach." "Sounds great, you know you didn't have to wait for me. Uou could have just gone" I smile at him "no way, I'm to protect you" he stated looking serious "yhis is our home, I'm fine" but he just shook his head at me in disbelief. We walk the rest of the way as he fills me in on his newfound friends. They both work hard to become warriors for the pack. They sound great for Nate.

We get to the office and find Axel talking with Chris, and I'm assuming his mate Linzi. She is beautiful, she has olive skin, dark brown hair and green eyes but the beauty radiates from within her. I can see she has a gentle soul. I see they are nervous, but they hold the conversation with Axel.

"Hi," I say as we walk in. Chris and Linzi bare their necks and greet me "Luna" they say together.

"Does anyone want a drink before I leave?" Nate asks "yes please, I'll have cold water. Please, " I'm so thirsty. "No, thank you." Everyone else said."I've got a water here. If you want to get off Nate, " Axel says, opening the little fridge that was near him.

"Ok, I'll see you later, unless you need me before," Nate says and heads out the door.

I hug Linzi as I radiate towards her, "it's so nice to meet you, Chris talked about you so much. I feel like I already know you." I smile. "Thank you, Luna. It's great to meet you too." I can see she is really nervous."Hey Chris," I give him a small wave and head to Axel. I kiss him, and I automatically want his lips on mine for longer. If it wasn't for our company, I would definitely protest.

Axel passes me a bottle of cold water, and I chug down, and yes, I know it's not ladylike, but I'm so thirsty.

We are all sat down, and I can see the pleading in Chris eyes to Linzi, but she has determination and nervous oozing from her.

"So.. what is this about? " Axel asks first, and I see Chris gulp.

"Thank you for meeting with me," Linzi says. Chris reaches for her hand, giving her support.

"It's not a problem at all. Is everything ok?" I ask, and she noticeably looks at anywhere but us. Her nerves have finally gotten the better of her.

"You can say what you want. We are here to listen," Axel says. He really is a good leader.

"Well.. I know it's against pack rules, but.." she is almost in tears but is trying her hardest to calm herself down.

Axel looks at chris. "Chris, what's happened?" He asks, and Chris bares his neck."Linzi didn't go against the pack rule to disobey or disrespect you, Alpha. Her heart is so big, and that is the only reason. I'll take whatever punishment there will be."

Wait. What.

"We don't know what has happened yet. Why are we skipping to punishment?" I'm confused, but Axel takes my hand "because pack rules are law," he says gently "well that doesn't make sense. We have no idea what has happened yet. " I'm perplexed how punishments can be spoken about yet. I understand if it's a crime, but we have no idea yet.

"What is it?" I ask, looking at Linzi. She takes a deep breath.

"Please, Luna. I just wanted to help them. I knew I shouldn't, but they meant no harm. They were hungry and cold," and a few tears escaped her eyes."Who?" I asked after she took a few deep breaths. "They are mostly elderly and children, but I couldn't ignore them." This time, Axel spoke, "WHO AND WHERE? " his voice sounded deeper, and both Chris and Linzi bared their necks to him.

"Rogues to the south of the border," she answered quietly, making Axel growl. Why is he mad "what" I ask, confused. Both of them were shaking, which was pissing me off because none of them had done anything wrong. "What?" I ask again. "What is wrong, I don't understand?" I say louder again this time, all three of them look at me,

"Can we just take a breath and talk it through? It's no good going off on one because Linzi helped someone," I said again. This time, Axel looked at me in disbelief. "Can you tell us what happened from the beginning?" I ask, ignoring Axels look. Linzi looks a little relieved but still terrified.

"I was looking for a certain herb to the south of the border. I wanted to make my special chicken soup for Chris. I thought he would be back, and I'd missed him and wanted to make sure he was ok when he returned home. My chicken soup is his favourite." she gave her mate a small smile."I was picking the herb when I heard a pup crying, I couldn't just ignore it. My whole being was pulling me to help. I walked into the woods and found a few Rogues," Chris growled lowly. He obviously hadn't heard the whole story either.

"There was a handful of pups. My heart broke at the sight of them. Dirty and so thin. I know they are rogues, but they needed help, " she sobs thinking back to them.

"I've been taking them food that I had made and water. They are a peaceful little group." "How many of them are there?" Axel asks."There is Harry and Martha, the eldest in the group. Then there's Zara, Penny, John, and Lenny. They tried so hard to get food and care for everyone else, and the pups are Ollie, Donna, Eva, Rachel, Gemma, and Florence." she finishes, and Axel is on edge. "Well, that's an awesome thing you have done, I'd love to meet them for myself and see if there is anymore help we can give them." My response has them all in shock.

"They are Rogues." Axel growls out quietly, but it pisses me off "well technically so am I, and Alia, does that mean we shouldn't have been helped" I growl out too and his mouth started opening and closing like a fish "you're my mate" but that shouldn't matter surely. "They could be mates or at least someones mates, my duty is to love and care for all weres, pack or rogues, I'm to guide and help them and yes I'm not naive enough to think that all wolves are nice because clearly they are not" Axel knows that I'm right because as my words sink in his whole temper dissappeared. Chris didn't say anything, but Linzi is looking at me with confusion. "I'm sorry that Chris couldn't tell you as we want to wait until I've settled in as Luna first. I'm Queen of werewolves, and I'm going to help all that need it." Her eyes widen, and she gets down on one knee and pledges herself to me, "YOU ARE NOT TO TELL ANYONE OF GINA BEING QUEEN" Axel uses his Alpha aura on her. "Yes Alpha, my queen," as she stands still with her eyes down. "You don't need to do that, Linzi." I smile, knowing we will become good friends.
