Gina POV

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the information overload.

I haven't heard from Dakote since, and if I'm being honest, I wouldn't want to talk either.

I've been sitting in the office, surrounded by different opinions and plans, and I honestly don't think my brain could take any more. My head is banging, and my eyes burn

"Axel, I really need to go," I yawned, finding it hard to keep my eyes open.

"Ok, we have a lot to work out, but Gina needs rest first," he said, standing with me in his arms.

I hear him giving instructions, but I have no idea who to as darkness takes me.

***Dream***

I'm stood in the familiar beautiful place, a place of peace and calmness. That only Selene can bring, I knew I was in her realm.

It is the calmness that I need right now.

How am I supposed to deal with this, with everything. I feel like I've only just found my place, and now there's more to contend with.I'm just getting used to having a family and being happy, and it's all changing already.

I have no idea what this means for us.

How can I help Dakote.

Are we in danger.

Could there really be someone out there that could hurt us, I mean, times have moved on, and the world is different now.

I'm so lost in my thoughts that I jumped when I noticed Selene stood next to me.

"Hello child, I thought it would be best to answer any questions you may have," she smiled.

"Hey Selene, how have you been?" I ask, and it seems to take her back a bit. "Can't complain too much, to be honest," she chuckled.

"How's life with you now?" she asks, and I know she probably knows that answer, but I love how she cares enough to ask.

"It's everything I've ever dreamed of." I smile. Content with my life.

"That's great, so what are the questions. We don't have long," she states. I have so many questions, and I'm not sure where to start.

"What's on your mind the most?" Selene answers my dilemma. "I'm worried about Dakote.. I don't know what to do for her. " That's the biggest thing in my head right now.

"I hate that she has to remember too, but she must so that she can learn. I know she wanted more time with you before this information came to the surface. She is just sorting her thoughts out before coming to the surface again. But she will be ok. She has the ability to communicate with midnight, and we try to guide her the best we can." My heart breaks for her. "What does this all mean for us? Are we really going to be in danger?" I ask with a shiver of cold, hitting my spine. It kills me to even think that I could lose Dakote.

"It means you were chosen to heal the world. With the great powers and responsibilities that you have. People filled with hate, anger, and greed will try to take it. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do. This is when you and Dakote can fight back and survive this time. " Well, that doesn't make me feel much better. "Ok, so we need to train. Is there anything else that can help us?" I'll take what I can at this point."Dakote was just a pup three of the times she passed over and returned home. There's only one time she got to full adulthood but was taken before she had time to train. " She answered, but I can see she was holding something back "ok but that's everything we already know," I state, but she looks hurt "I wish I could tell you everything but I can't. I'm sorry, but I can't." "Isn't there anything at all you could tell us?" I ask, hoping for anything midnight comes and stands besides Selene. They are communicating as I watch midnights impressive form. Something changes in Selenes' eyes, which hopefully is good. "Ok..so there is something I can tell you. Axel and blaze are the answer. They are the key" ok "what does that mean? " I ask, totally stuck. What kind of answer is that "the only one I can give" crap I forget she can read my mind.

"Thank you, we will figure it out," I smile.

"It's time to wake up now. I hope you figure it out and all goes well. You and Dakote both deserve a long and happy life, " Selene hugged me."I'll protect her, I promise, " I whisper with determination. It all goes dark.

I wake up to the feel of my mates hands on my face. Sparks fly everywhere.

"We need to talk." I yawn and stretch.

There's a lot to learn, especially now we know the truth.
