Axel POV

I feel on edge, learning Gina and Dakote are the Sequoia wolf, sent to us from our creator herself. Fills me with dread, and I know that sounds bad but I know there are f*****g scumbags out there that is going to want the power for themselves. I know they think they can harvest the power for themselves, but that isn't the case at all, and surely history would have learnt them that, but it's like their greed blinds them. 'They will die,' Blaze growls.'I agree, but we also need to learn as much as we can. There must be a way of helping because there's no way we are losing our mates. 'Agreed' was all Blaze said before going to the back of my mind.

I'm sitting listening to ideas and opinions from around the room, and they are really helpful. We are so lucky that the family and friends we have are supportive and loyal. I know they will all help us, and I'm thankful for that.

"Axel, I really need to go," my beautiful mate yawned, I feel like s**t that I'd not noticed how exhausted she was.

"Ok, we have a lot to work out, but Gina needs rest first," I said, standing with her in my arms.

"Shane, Paula, we need as much information as possible, but it's been a long day, so we will start first thing.

Mum, dad, could you possibly call around the Alphas, you know, please. Try and get any information you can regarding the Sequoia wolf. Say it's for educational reasons. Can you help too Daniel, sue" I ask and they all agree "what about me" Nate asks "you need to be with Gina, she needs you more now than ever" he's already on high alert, ready for anything.

"Of course," he replied and went to follow us out. "I'll stay with her now, but it would be great if you could settle Emma in with Alia for tonight. Make sure you all eat, and they will have to share the bed tonight until I can get a bed sorted for her tomorrow." He agreed and walked to our floor with us. I realised as soon as I was leaving the office, Gina was asleep. I tried not to disturb her, and I could have sworn, it felt as if I held my breath all the way there.

Nate opened our door for me. "I'll always protect her," he stated with determination. "I know you will." I reply, and he shuts the door behind us.

I lay her down and had plans to work on my laptop while she slept, but her delicate hand held on my arm. I lay beside her, pulling her back to my front, wrapping my arm around her. This is a better plan than what I had. 'We need yo mark mate,' Blaze says with the same contentment as I feel 'I know Blaze, but we can't rush her. We need to restrain ourselves until Gina is ready.' Her calm breathing and warmth surround me, and it lulls me to sleep.

I wake up by Ginas fidgeting. She has turned in my arms, she is still asleep so I stay as still as possible because I don't want to disturb her.

She looks so peaceful, her blonde hair is draped over the pillow, and her nose scrunches every now and then.

I was losing my s**t not finding my mate for so long, but now I know without a doubt we had to wait. Gina needed us, so that wait seems like nothing now. I'd wait a thousand years for her, and I know Blaze would, too. I know I need to talk with her about the mating process because not only do I want to have the full connection with Gina and Dakote, but it's also a safety, too. When mates mark one another, it's said yo be the most magical and amazing feeling ever, I know we will settle more once we have marked our mate because we will be connected on another level.
