Elena POV

"Wake up now." James smiled as he removed the hair strands from my face.

"What time is it?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"It's time for dinner,Elena.You need to eat." He said.

"I need to sleep!" I whispered as I hid under the blanket.

"No,no,no." He pulled me up like I was a little child.

"I am really sleepy." I whispered.

"I know.In fact, you know that better than me.Your medicines are really heavy but you have to fight it.You have to be strong." He smiled as he massaged my head.

"Ugh, right." I sighed as I sat up.He brought the food and sat on my bed.

"Are you going to fed me?" I asked smilingly.

"Someone needs to take care of this patient." He replied.

"Okay.I will accept your assistance since you are hot." I winked.

"Yes, that's enough.Here,have it." He forwarded a spoon in front of me.The way he cared,it was amazing.It made me feel happy and feel wanted.

A week went by.I was recovered from everything.My wound still hurts a little but nothing worth being at bed for.

"Good morning." I smiled as I stood in front of the weak patient.

"Good morning.Congratulations on your recovery." He smiled.I laughed at his words.

"Really,James? Get up now.It's time for our session." I said.

"Oh,I am really tired." He sighed as he got up.He looked weaker and sicker than usual.

"You've got a fever." I whispered as I touched his body.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I lifted his chin.He smiled instead of replying.

"Damn it." I whispered as I ran out of the ward.My eyes searched for any nurses.The hospital was like a busy road today.

"Hey,hey,hey!" I called out to one of the nurses.

"Dr.Alvarez." She whispered as he looked at the name plate on my white coat.

"Are you taking tests for the virus?" I asked.

"Yes, doctor but I am really busy right now.The Hospital is gone crazy with patients with the virus." She was about to walk away but I grabbed her hand.

"Please..." I looked at her ID..."Carrie."

"Please I need you to do this." I whispered.She was shocked,so was I.I am not the type of person to request for something.

"I will be right back with the form." She said as she ran away within a second.

It didn't take long before she came back and gave me a form to write on.

Doctor's Name- Elena Alvarez

I quickly filled up everything else in the form.She ran with me to James's ward.

"What are we doing?" He asked.

"Taking the test to see whether or not you have the virus." I replied as I crossed my arms.I applied him for five different viruses.

I wanted him to be completely safe.

"Thank you." I whispered to the nurse as she smiled back.She exited the ward as I stood by the door.

"What about the money?" James asked from behind.I turned halfways around and gave him a side look.After that,I walked towards him to make him lay down.

"Are you having back pain?" I asked.

"A mild pain." He whispered.I looked at his charts and read his diet.Since his medicines were prescribed by me,I had nothing to worry about.

"Elena, about the tests..." He whispered as he placed his hands on my waist.He really thought he could use that technic to make me talk to him about the p*****t.

"It's alright.Don't worry." I whispered.

"But the tests, these are so expensive and...This is not right of you to pay for me like this."

"Elena!" He whispered again.

"James!" I grabbed his hands.

"Shut up!" I replied.He went silent and let go of my hands.

"Lay down." I whispered.He quietly did without saying anything.

I locked the door and laid beside him.

"Why do you worry so much, baby?" I whispered.

"I am here.I am taking care of things, aren't I?" I asked.

"I don't want to feel like I am using you." He replied.

"James,you are not using me.I am doing this because I-" I stopped myself from spilling those words.

"I care about you." I whispered.He embraced me tightly and closed his eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing...You know that my wife is coming tomorrow right?" He asked.

"Mhm,she informed." I replied.He shook his head and didn't say anything further.I didn't either.

"Nothing is..." I whispered.

This was the best.To forget everything because the s****l tension was killing me.

"Shut up." I rolled my eyes.

"Tone that down,will you? There's people around." I whispered.

"So what? They don't care." He said.

"Huh, don't care? You barely know this place." I replied.

"What'dya mean?" He asked.

"The only thing that spreads faster than the virus is words in this hospital." I said.

"Where have I heard this saying before?" He put his hand under his chin.I chuckled slowly.

"Elena,you can tell me what's wrong.I am your best friend." He held my hands.

"This is not right,Maxi." I whispered.He raised an eyebrow.

"Fate made me fall with a married man.I did nothing wrong." I whispered.My heart just got heavier and heavier each second.

"I don't have the right to be jealous because I am a side w***e but the jealousy,it kills me." My eyes welled up.

"Elena,elena!" He wiped my tears.

"And I know that after this all ends,he will go back to his perfect family and continue life but what about me?" I cried.

"Elena,I am telling you.James is making a mistake and you are paying for it.You are the most desired person I've seen.You are a creation of god.You are perfect and you don't deserve to be someone's side whore." He cupped my face.

"I am lost." I whispered.

"No,El.You aren't.Hear me when I tell you that you own the world.You are strong." He smiled.

"Last night,he had a fever.I made him go through all the tests.I paid for everything.I slept beside him despite him having a fever in this virus season.I didn't care about myself.I just didn't want him to feel lonely.This morning all this reports were fine and his fever was gone.I told him about the reports and he was really happy because his wife was coming to see him.So,there is no chance of them getting sick." I explained.

"And then I saw them... together, doing-" Maximilian placed his finger on my lips.

"Elena,I will make sure he pays for ever f*****g with your feelings." He said.He had his anger and rage for revenge.Why couldn't I just fall in love with him? He had a hot body,he was handsome and he was the most desired man I've seen.Then why did fate make me fall in love with that man?

Flashback from earlier today -

I walked towards James ward to inform his wife that visiting hours were over.It was an odd time and most of the patients were asleep.

This floor was remarkable.There was a very low amount of patients on this floor.

It was always silent and dull.

My legs froze when I heard...moans.In the silent hall, the only sound I could hear was a woman moaning in pleasure.Never have I looked up to God but I prayed that it wasn't what I thought.I was hopelessly hoping that it was something else because I was in denial.The sound was coming from his ward and I was standing just outside the door.There was no way that the sound came from any other wards because all of them...they were asleep.

"Ah...James...ah-ah.Ohhhh my god, baby." His wife moaned out.It was the decision I knew I was going to regret but I peeked through the door.

"Baby...ah.Ohhh,ah!" Her moans just kept getting louder.

My blood ran cold as I saw them.James was completely naked,so was his wife.

He was on top of her, pounding his c**k inside her.

I was drowned with tears when that scene came to my mind.My heart felt like it was burnt to ashes,then it was resurrected and burnt again.It felt like it was happening in a loop.

He loves his wife and he was willing to do anything for her.It disgusted me to even think of him.

No man could be such an angel.He was indeed a two timer, hiding under a facade.
