Alpha Drew.
I couldn't look at Isabella as I left the cell and made my way towards the torture room.
I hated this place and I hated even more the man I became when I was in there.
I hate it so much in fact that I have never actually used it since I became Alpha.
My father when he was Alpha had resorted to using it himself only a couple of times and the last time he had I was nearly seventeen. He had commanded that I go with him so I am trained in certain methods, should I ever have to use them.
I am not ashamed to say that I had to run from the room to throw up that day.
But hate this room as I do, I hate that man more. He has been party to my sons kidnapping and now he has the audacity to mock us.
I will find out where she has taken them if I have to kill him to do so.
As I enter the room I crinkle my nose at the acrid smell.
Decades old dry blood and rotten flesh. It seemed strange to me that my father had ordered this place never to be cleaned, until he explained to me that to anyone being brought here the smell and also the randomly strewn old finger nails that have been removed give the room a sense of legitimacy.
Once they are brought here and realise that you are in fact serious and not bluffing many are willing to loosen their tongues without you having to even do anything.
Casper begins growling in my head as the door opens and Cal enters along with Owen and between them they are dragging the prisoner.
I smile to myself as he obviously picks up on the smell of the room. A look of panic washes over his face and although he is quick to disguise it, I know what I saw. My father was right. That alone is enough to strike fear into them.
He is dumped unceremoniously in the middle of the room next to a particularly large blood stain.
" Lets start with something simple. What's your name?"
He looks up at me with his only good eye and stares at me for a moment. Isabella really did do a number on him for his other eye to be swollen shut still.
In my head Casper puffs out his chest. He is proud of our mate.
" Walter"
" Very good. Now Walter are you going to tell me what I want to know or would you like me to familiarise you with our treatment room a bit more?"
Another panicked look crosses his face and this time he makes less effort to disguise it.
" Why should I tell you anything? You are obviously going to kill me anyway after I tell you what you want to know."
" I don't know what you have heard about me Walter but I am not that sort of Alpha.
I am fair and just. You will be handed over to the council of wolves to decide your fate, IF you tell me what I want to know."
He opened his mouth to reply and then closed it again. So I continued.
" However if you don't tell me where Beatrice has taken my sons then by the laws laid down by our ancestors I have the right to torture you until death."
His eyes widened at my final words and he bowed his head in surrender.
" Ok you win. I will tell you what you want to know."
I nodded.
Owen and Cal both mindlinked me at that moment.
" I don't know if you can trust him boss"
" Yeah he seems to have been very easily swayed"
" I have no choice. We will check out the location he gives us. If it turns out to be false then we will come back here and he will be tortured".
Walter then went on to give me a detailed description of the safe house that Beatrice intended to take the twins.
He even told me about silver bars he had added to the basement windows as an extra security measure at her request.
Casper was furious at the details of the room she intended to hold them in and even more so when he discovered she did know about Jack's tears and that she planned to sell them to the highest bidder.
I had no idea how I was going to tell any of this to Isabella. This was probably worse than she was already imagining.
Her voice suddenly screamed in my mind as she mindlinked me demanding I do whatever it takes to get the information I needed. Hearing the pain in her voice I needed to go to her immediately. I had been with this piece of s**t long enough.
It was time to move and see if he was in fact being truthful.
" Take him back to his cell. Inject him with wolfsbane. I don't want to see his injuries begin to heal until I find out if he is telling the truth."
Cal and Owen bowed and then stepped forward from the wall of the cell where they had been stood for our entire exchange and between them they hauled him to his feet and dragged him back to the cell he had come from.
I was right behind them. Eager to escape this room but more so to get to my mate.
I mindlinked her to see where she was but she didn't respond. As it was only a few minutes since she linked me I wasn't concerned. So I began to follow her scent back to the packhouse and up the stairs until I found her collapsed on the floor outside my parents room.
I ran to her side and gently lifted her up checking her over for injuries. She looked fine so I realised she must have just been exhausted and emotionally overwhelmed.
I carried her up to our room and laid her on the bed. I decided to let her sleep for a while until I was organised.
I spent the next few hours sending mindlinks to Cal, Owen and Hugo. They were rounding up the warriors and giving them my orders.
I was going to take twenty five warriors with me. Cal was adamant he was coming too. He loved those boys and helped to look after them since the moment they had arrived here.
Hugo was going to double the amount of men on patrol around the territory just in case this was not just about the twins and someone came back to take try and take April, Maisie and Evie while I was away from the pack.
Owen was going to have the rest of the warriors with him guarding the packhouse for the same reason.
It was close to ten thirty in the morning by the time everyone was ready.
I gently shook Isabella awake and her eyes flew open instantly.
" Drew! The boys! Have you found them?"
" I am leaving now. Our prisoner told me where she intended to take them."
" I'm coming too" She said as she began to climb off the bed.
" No you are not. Its too dangerous. We don't know if she is working with someone else. She could be working with several people"
" If our pups are in danger I am coming."
She said firmly and folded her arms across her chest.
"Sophie sounds angry. Better let them come. We know they can look after themselves." Casper said inside my head.
" Fine. But you stay close to me at all times."
