Chapter One
Isabella I looked in the mirror and I could scarcely believe that the reflection was me. When I think back to who I was and how my life was this time a couple of years ago. I had spent my entire childhood being raised by parents who weren't my own, something I had only found out that first night when I had heard a voice talking to me in my head. At the time I was terrified and confided in my parents believing that I was going mad. It was my wolf Sophie but as I had been raised as a human and had no idea that wolves existed. They had admitted to me I was adopted and that my mother was crazy and had taken me to see a doctor who had prescribed me wolfsbane. I had taken it for years and the voices had stopped. I'd meet and married my husband Marcus and together we had our gorgeous twin boys, Jack and Jacob. Our relationship was never the best though and when I found him cheating on me I had had enough and I left. The only place I had to go was to a new friends and he had taken us in without question. It was there that I discovered the world of werewolves and that I was in fact one myself. We had faced many trials in our relationship. I had been kidnapped by an evil Alpha who wanted me dead and had been the reason I was orphaned all those years ago but now he is dead and the threat to our family is gone and so now here I stand on our wedding day three years after Drew proposed to me. Werewolves don't usually get married it is more of a human tradition but having been raised as a human for most of my life Drew, my fated mate, thought it would mean a lot to me for us to marry and he was right. It had taken quite some time to get the divorce papers from Marcus through. It turned out that the wedding had been performed by a friend of the previously mentioned evil alpha and Drew had struggled to find any legal documents relating to it. In the end we discovered that the entire wedding had been fake and that we had never legally been married. I had also had some things I wanted to do before I officially became Drews wife. Before I could finally move completely on with my life I felt like I had loose ends that needed tying up. The main one being I desperately wanted to visit the Dawn Sun pack. Not only had Alpha Stephan been an important ally when Drew was trying to rescue me from Eric but it was also the pack to which my parents had fled when I was a baby. It was the place that had been my home for the first few years of my life. I was too young when they were murdered and I was kidnapped to really have any memories of the place and any I did have had been wiped out by a witch friend of Eric's but it was something I felt that I needed to do. Myself and Drew took the boys and our own three girls Maisie, Evie and April there together. I had mixed emotions about the place but in the end it was something I was glad to have done. Lots of people there remembered my parents and told us lots of stories about them and even about me when I was little. It was clear from the way they talked that my mum and dad were really loved, there was a definite sadness in peoples voices as they spoke about them. To be honest I was a little sad to leave when it was time to return home, it was nice to be somewhere that people knew my parents. It helped me to feel close to them but Drew as the Alpha of our own pack couldn't spend too much time away and as his Luna it was my duty to be by his side helping. A sudden knock on the door snaps me back to the present. I give myself one last look over in the full length mirror in front of me and satisfied with my reflection I turn my attention to the door. " Come in" The door opens and Drews Sister Jennifer walks inside followed by his mother Maria. They both smile broadly as they enter. " Do you think I look ok?" I ask them. Seeing them both looking so beautiful suddenly has me feeling insecure. Jen is wearing a stunning strapless gold bridesmaid dress that hugs her figure perfectly and she looks drop dead gorgeous. Maria is wearing a much less revealing but equally beautiful dress in the same gold colour. Both these woman mean the world to me and it was important to me that they were both by my side on my wedding day. Before they could answer my three beautiful daughters toddled in one after the other behind them wearing cute little white flower girl dresses, each one has their dark hair tied up in a golden bow. Finally following behind them is Jen's mate Marcus in a dark blue suit with a golden tie holding onto the hand of their little boy Lucas who is wearing a matching suit. I know what you're thinking and yes it is the same Marcus. My ex husband. It turned out that Jen was his second chance mate. It's not as awkward as you would think. They made each other so happy and Marcus and I have a much better relationship now. His relationship with the boys is so much better than it ever was when we were together too. In fact the reason he is here right now is that I have asked him to walk me down the aisle and give me away to Drew. I saw Maria's eyes begin to fill up with tears and I wiggled my finger at her in warning. " Dont you dare cry Mama" I said my voice breaking as I spoke. " You know you will set me off and it took me ages to do my make up!" Maria nodded and took a deep breath to compose herself before she spoke. " You look perfect Dear. My son is a very lucky man to have such a beautiful mate." I smiled and pulled her into a hug. " I had a mindlink from Drew a few minutes ago he said everyone is ready and waiting on the bride." Marcus said as he came and gave me a peck on the cheek. " Yeah he sounded really nervous. I think part of him is worried about being stood up!" Jen laughed as she mocked her brother. I scoffed at the thought. There was no way I was going to let anyone stop me from marrying the one true love of my life. I lead the way towards the door and I could hear everyone following along behind me. I have butterflies dancing around in my stomach as I walk across the hallway of the packhouse and prepare to make my way around the side of the packhouse towards the lake behind. I am so happy that I feel like I am floating on air.
