Unleashing Her Demon

Chapter Three

Beryl's Pov

"Who's your Luna?." We both asked in jinx and I used the opportunity to roll my eyes in disgust. Only the thought of ever being this man's Luna was horrid.

I didn't even want to imagine being in an ungodly and immoral situation with this man even if that was my mission here.

"I'm sorry but... Aiden, is there a situation that I'm not aware of that's ongoing here?." The guy asked the 'almighty Alpha Aiden' nonchalantly.

Wow, so someone could talk to him so casually.

I thought he dined with demons, the devil, and people of the underworld, how pathetic!!

"Daniel... She's my rejected mate. She will join the pack maids later today. Aiden replied walking out and I just chuckled weirdly.

I didn't even bother to protest because I knew that I couldn't join the pack maids. That could never happen unless the moon goddess rewrote my stars.

No one can say what I get to be or do, not even some strange alpha that I barely knew.

"I'm Beta Daniel. I'm guessing this Introduction didn't start on a good note but we can just pretend that scene never happened. And I apologize for my alpha...he could be gruff sometimes." Hunter said and I smiled.

Okay, finally someone that has sense. He had respect, that's the most important thing.

"I'm Omega Berly and your alpha is not just gruff but stupid as well," I commented and set my lips into a thin line like I didn't say anything.

"Haha.... Berly, it even sounds like a name given to a goddess, what's the meaning? It sounds so rare and unique." Hunter asked as he unlocked the chains that bound my hands and legs.

As he was done unlocking it and removing the chains, he sat on the cold floor opposite me and I followed suit.

Gosh, I thought all his pack members would act so gruff and stupid like him... I'm talking about Aiden.

Turns out there are sensible ones.

"Well, my name Berly ordinarily means blue but trailing it down to my wolf ancestors.... It has something to do with wolves that can control a particular power called Blue Pearl. Trust me, I have no idea how that works." I explained and chuckled a bit.

"Blue pearl... I've never heard of it but it sounds interesting anyway. How about your family? " He asked and it almost felt like he was interrogating me but at least it felt better than Aiden acting like a complete i***t.

"I don't have them, they're all dead. My foster parents are aged and back at Lightwood Pack. They're the only ones I've got." I replied and his countenance saddened me a bit.

"Well, you've got a new family now so whenever you need something, don't hesitate to ask away. And try your best to vibe with Aiden, he's not as dreadful as he likes people to think." Daniel enunciated but I just scoffed, giving off a sly smile.

"On the contrary, I'm worse than I portray myself. " Aiden's voice came, Daniel and I looked up immediately to meet the dark gaze of Aiden King

"Whenever I need an opinion about your life, I won't hesitate to meet you. As for now, can you please place your hands over your mouth?." I reiterated tapping my fingers slowly on the iron chains.

"I would advise that you watch your tone when you speak to me," Aiden warned with his alpha tone.

But darn, that thing does not affect me. I've been around way more alpha than him so his alpha tone makes no difference. I hate him.

"Humph, try to convince yourself first. " My wolf, Athena whispered in the back of my head, I loved that my wolf had the same name as my best friend.

"Shut it, Athena," I mumbled but it was. Loud enough for Daniel to hear.

Daniel immediately swerved to face me and asked:

"Your wolf's name is Athena?." Then he gave me that side glance that said, 'Say the truth. "

"Yes, her name is Athena. " I replied, nodding my head in the affirmative.

" I must commend you, you've got unique names... Both you and your wolf, are linked to a Goddess. " Hunter observed and only then did I realize it anyways.

"Take my advice, Berly," Aiden yelled like someone seeking attention and it almost made me blurt out laughing but I held the laughter in.

" "Dude...I heard you perfectly well the first time you said it, I just chose to ignore you." I said and smiled broadly just to spite him more.

I've noticed that's the only attitude that gets him to stop acting like an asshole and act like someone who had brains even if it didn't last more than a few minutes.

Daniel just silently chuckled looking sideways so Karl wouldn't see the humor on his face.

"Daniel, have you reviewed the documents I asked of you? " Aiden asked, the tone he used almost sounding like he was looking for a mode to chase Daniel away.

"I did that since the early hours of the morning," Daniel replied and winked at me.

I guess he noticed what Aiden was trying to do also, well…I guess I already have a partner in spiting Aiden up. That was fast!!

"How about the gamma? Have you checked on their training today?." Aiden asked yet again.

"I fixed an early training for today, so they are all done with today's activities. The pups have done their training and all nook and cranny in the pack is sparkling clean because I supervised the cleaning, so I guess my work for the day is over. "

"What's the upcoming occasion? " Aiden asked, half yelling.

"What occasion?. " Daniel enquired, staring at Aiden like he had grown invisible horns.

"All the day's activities have ended so early unlike other days and I'm confused as to what the occasion is that I'm unaware of," Aiden asked, rubbing his forehead like he was doing it out of frustration.

Is this the same wolf assassin that everyone feared? I was expecting to see a dark, dangerous, and evil demon always cladded in black and maybe... Blood is always dripping out of his hands with a knife in his hands.

But this wolf assassin wasn't at all what I was expecting. No, that's not what I'm supposed to say…..he was the least of my expectations.

He almost looked like he was putting on some facade and pretense or whatever…..but I don't have any backup on that.

"You're an Omega right, how are you this fierce?." Aiden asked and tugged his hair.
