(Aki) I started walking around the campus like some lost puppy wandering in the streets. I wanted to ask someone where could I see the group of the Night wolves but I just can't ask anyone. I mean, I think everyone in this campus were already under Nicholas' fraternity and no one could ever think of joining the other group. Night Wolves' nest is located at the fraternity house across the street, it is under the same campus but the things is, the two leaders are the biggest rivals in the school. They are not top students, but I think that is different with Nicholas as I always hear his name whenever there is a school activity.
I walked across the street and stood in front of the house, it was so quiet and maybe my timing is not good for now. I was about to enter when I saw a group of men walking towards me, I walked away but someone grabbed the nape part of my shirt and I quickly went back to the spot I was standing.
"Who are you? Are you one of Nicholas' underlings and wanted to spy?" a man rudely asked to me and in one wrong answer, he could beat me into pulp.
"No! I am not his underling. I am Aki, new student and wondering if you are open for a recruit?" I carefully asked and they all looked towards one male standing in the center of the circle.
"What would you say, Caleb?" the man who talked to me asked to that man in the center and I guess he is the leader of this group.
"Did you say Aki?" he asked and I nodded.
"I though Nick already got you?" he asked and I was surprised.
"We are in the same campus, do not be surprise." the man said.
"Right, and I rejected him." I proudly answered and he burst out laughing.
"Nick just got rejected by a mere new student." he exclaimed to me.
"Asher, let him in. We got to know him more." Caleb said to the man who initially talked to me and I guess his name was Asher.
"Come on in, one idiotic move and your body would be floating on the nearby river." he threatened to me and I chuckles.
"I can swim." I jokingly answered and he glared on me.
"Alright, I am harmless." I said and he moved at the side of the gate like he was letting me to enter first.
I walked inside the estate, I entered the main door and the inside interior of the house is somewhat a noir and really a dark one. You really could say that you enter the den of the outlaws and you are walking in the hallway that was involuntary of your own will. He guided towards a room upstairs, he pointed to the sofa and I just sat on it, do I really have to feel nervous in this kind of situation?
"Why did you reject Nick?" Caleb suddenly entered and opened the fridge on the side. He tossed me a can of beer and I glanced on him upon catching it.
"Do you really have a class? Oh, classes were suspended because of that thing happened again." he said and acted like it was just some monologue he made by himself.
"You do not drink beer? How could you live in this place?" Caleb asked to me once again.
"Is this some kind of a hazing or what?" I asked to him and he chuckles.
"If you are asking about the hazing, let me think about it." he answered and I should not have asked that stupid question.
"Am I already in or not?" I asked him and pretend to be brave, but my voice cracks so I hope he did not hear that.
"You are still not answering my question, why did you rejected his offer?" he asked once again and he stood in front of me.
"Do I not have that thing called privacy?" I sarcastically asked and he grinned on me.
"This pack does not have secrets, and if you do, you got to tell me before something happens. Stop acting like a private person when you desperately wanted a group." he answered to me and stare.
"He does things that I think is not right. I cannot be in that kind of group." I plainly answered.
"Are you that just and fair person or do you have a reputation to preserve?" he asked and I was a bit surprise.
"Do I really have to answer that?" I asked again and he stare on me. I let out a deep sigh and realized that I do not have any choice to make here.
"My parents were public servants and I got to live with their expectations." I answered and he smiled.
"What is your race?" he suddenly asked and I was a bit confuse and unsure of what kind of race he is asking about.
"Do you mean nationality?" I asked once again and he paused, and chuckles.
"You are a human." he suddenly mumbled.
"Of course I am a human! What do you think of me? An animal?" I jokingly asked and he grinned.
"Tell me, Aki, what do you know about Celestienne University?" he asked to me and I felt that it was some kind of Deja vu.
"Why is everybody keep asking me that?" I exclaimed and he shakes his head.
"I cannot let you in this pack." he suddenly said and quickly walked towards the door.
"What?! You asked me questions and I fairly answered them all." I complained to him.
"That is right and I do not think that you are suitable in this pack." he answered and I scoffed in disbelief.
"Why do you keep referring to yourselves as a pack? Are you like some wolves or what?" I asked while chuckling and he is not joining me.
"Do you want to see a real wolf?" he seriously said to me.
"City do not have wolves, thanks for having my humor." I answered and stood in front of him.
"Do you really not allowing me to join you? I can be a good spy." I said and smirked. I have to offer him something, and I think being Nicholas' roommate could be a great benefit for me.
"I do not need a spy." he answered and I shakes my head.
"Nicholas is my roommate." I said and and his eyes thinned, looks like he was a bit tempted with those words I just uttered.
"I do not need to watch Nick." he put up a huge wall again between us.
"Alright, I cannot win. But can I just ask why do you keep calling him Nick?" I asked to him and he smiled.
"He is my twin brother. Tell him my regards." he answered and he dragged me out from the room and closed the door immediately.
"You have to leave." I snapped when I heard someone's voice and it was again an unfamiliar face.
"And you are?" I asked and his face expresses the coldness in the air.
"I do not have to tell you my name." he coldly answered.
"That is right, where is the exit?" I asked to him and he pointed towards the stairs. I started walking and stopped when he called my name.
"Aki Lowell, be careful and do not trust anyone." he said to me and I smiled.
"Of course, I cannot trust someone who cannot say his name." I said and quickly went out from the house.
I walked directly to the dormitory, I decided to spend my whole free time inside the room. I entered and I see Nicholas changing his shirt. I quietly entered and not saying anything until I flopped myself down on my bed and put on my headphones.
"I heard you came at Caleb's house." he said to me but I just ignore him.
"I told you, no one would accept you aside from me." he continued and I just keep in glancing over him.
"I could still give you one more chance of accepting my offer." he said and I scoffs. I saw him walking towards me and I just looked on him.
"Stop pleasing yourself with my existence." I plainly answered and his forehead creases in confusion.
"Do you think of me being narcissist? I was just helping you." he answered and I put down my headphones.
"Then make me believe that you are just doing this to let your ego be spoiled. You think everyone would bow down in front of you and keep wagging their tails? Do not be ridiculous, not everyone has type on you." I continuously answered and he smirked. He put his face close to mine like he is bowing down in ninety degrees.
"That is why I like you, you got your own pride to spoil too." he exclaimed to me.
"Make it be more like I know my dignity and you are not worth of it." I answered firmly and he nodded.
"This university is not a prestigious because students here are rich and powerful, this place is exclusive and you entering this place, means that you are special too." he said to me while walking away.
"This place is not the way you are thinking about it. Observe and see what I really meant for." he finally said and went out.
That guy is really strange and crazy. If Caleb would not accept me, then I could just be alone.
I can make it and I am good being always by myself.
