After I nodded, he stayed silent for a moment before he murmured, "Then why don't you lose it to me?" a loud gasp left my lips as I kept staring him in the eye.

"Kai!" my lips parted and the only word I could speak was his name in a whisper. He might not know how bad it would impact me, but it wasn't a joke for me. My entire body suddenly felt an urge to jump in his lap and strip him naked.

The way he was watching my face with a smirk on, my heart was dancing inside my chest.

"Listen to me first. We are friends, friends forever, if you lose it to me, you'll always be in contact with the person you slept with for the first time and I'll do it the way it's memorable for you." this had not happened before, the way his eyes were scanning my lips was giving my body an electric current.

I was blankly watching his face and thinking about what should I say when he swiftly burst out laughing and laid his back on the mattress.

"Oh My God! Look at your face." He had his hand on his stomach and his eyes closed as he kept laughing. But why? What he said wasn't wrong though. Once I didn't respond back to his joke, he calmed down and sat straight again.

"You didn't consider it, did you?" his tone was more serious than before now.

I kept my face lowered to hide the redness of my cheeks while I knew his eyes were fixated on me.

"Vivienne! Do you want me to take your virginity?" He asked very seriously. I bet he had noticed the goosebumps on my skin and once I didn't resist, I found him slowly getting up from my bed and walking towards the door.

Did I upset him or something with my wish? Should I burst out laughing and say I was joking?

I was watching his back with so many questions raised inside my head when I saw him locking the door instead of leaving.

My heart sank in my chest at the imagination of being touched by him. He turned around and our eyes met for a hot minute before he tailed back to the bed and gently pushed me to lie down.

The next few days were the weirdest days as Kai had started to ignore me like I didn't even exist. It wasn't until one of the Sundays that my mother held a dinner party for Mr. And Mrs. Pascals that Kai and I started to spend some time together again. None of us mentioned that night again and soon it seemed as we forgot about it.

We were back to how things used to be but, of course, there was some sort of tension left. I didn’t bring it up again, I couldn’t upset him or push him away again, or more like I was afraid to hear that he didn’t like it with me.

I would sometimes notice him trying to say something but he would divert the topic real quick. Maybe he liked me too, maybe he was afraid that I'd reject him or maybe he wanted to express the disgust he felt for my body?

The weather was increasingly getting cold as the winter had begun to arrive. I sat by the window of my living room of my small Victorian House to stare at my front yard, where the birds were feasting upon the seeds my mother had filled in the bowl for them.

I should have been in school, enjoying the weather with my friends. The wind blowing the trees with the dark surrounding the atmosphere was my favorite view.
