The Others

{Theluun’s POV} I barged into the foyer and yelled over my brothers who had been locked in a screaming match nearly all day. “Will the two of you shut up for once?” I asked, flopping down onto the couch. “I swear you two have been at each other’s throats all day! Either kill each other, or kiss and makeup already!” “That’s easy for you to say!” NymKarna said, turning to face me. “He called me a common who**!” He yelled, pointing to Andromedus who was chuckling under his breath. Andromedus was shorter than the rest of us standing at 6’4, but he was the oldest. His hair was solid white, shaved on the sides, and longer on top. He always kept it slicked back, styled neatly. His eyes a bright purple, they reminding me of the galaxy in a way, which made sense as he was the god of stars. He was lean, but still muscular, the smallest, but one of the strongest of us. I sighed, and rubbed my temples. “Firstly.. Andromedus, you know that saying stuff like that upsets him!” I snapped, turning to my oldest brother. “Secondly, Nym.. I’m sorry to say, you are a who**! You’re literally the god of s*x!” I turned to face him. His red eyes burned, they looked like rubies. His black hair laid in waves all around his head. He kept his hair short, but longer than most of ours. He’s the tallest of us all, standing at 6’8, and his build is muscular, but he prefers to stay more lean than bulky. “I know I’m a who** Thay, I’m just not a common one!” He shouted, crossing his arms, and huffing. “Alright.. that’s enough of whatever this is!” I snapped at both of them. “We have a guest in the castle for the next few months, and they’ll be joining us for dinner tonight!” I said addressing both of them. “The human?” Andromedus asked, his eyes squinting with disdain. I nodded, and before I could speak Nym blabbered out. “There is a human staying with us? Where? Are they attractive?” “No touching!” I snapped. “The human will be joining us for dinner, so everyone needs to be on their best behavior!” Andro rolled his eyes. “Why would I want to dine with a filthy human?” I stood, stalking over to him, he was the pinnacle of a narcissist in this moment. “You don’t have a choice! I didn’t ask if you wanted to, I told you what will be happening. You will be on your best behavior, or so help me I will show you what it really means to make me mad Andro!” He scoffed and pushed past me, probably running back up to his tower. I sighed walking back to the couch and sitting back down. “So.. who is this human? How do they look?” Nym started, I just held up my hand and gestured for him to leave. He huffed, “You’re no fun!” As he turned and stormed from the room. This was sure to be an entertaining evening nonetheless. I stood, making my way to my room to get ready for dinner. {Arabella’s POV} I sighed getting up from the bed, I looked to Feryn who was throwing dress after dress out of my closet. “So.. this dinner.. what do I do?” I asked, walking to my vanity and sitting down, looking in the mirror. “Don’t worry Arabella, I’ll catch you up! The four kings will be in attendance, which means that you will need to be on your best behavior, and you must address them as either Your Highness, or Your Majesty.” She smiled carrying a dress from my closet and laying it out on the bed. “This one will be perfect!” She was practically grinning from ear to ear. She helped me into the dress, and though the pain from my wounds was gone, the bruises still stained my body. “We’ll cover the bruised cheek with makeup, and luckily the dress I picked has draped sleeves so it should cover up your arms!” The dress was indeed beautiful, it flowed like water from a river, it dragged the ground slightly since I’m shorter than anyone else I’ve seen here so far. “We’ll hem it, so that way it won’t be so long!” She said, taking out needles from a box in the vanity and pinning the bottom of the dress. Once she pinned it, she took it off of me, stitching the dress, then sliding it back onto me. I looked in the mirror, and studied the dress. The sleeves were not really sleeves, more like a cloak, or a drape that covered my arms. The dress hugged my curves beautifully, and flowed down in a lovely a-line shape. The color was that of baby pink, and the texture was like tulle, with a light and breathable overlay. There was a slit on one side that went up to my mid thigh. She sat me down and put me into a pair of golden heels, ones that had golden leaves and vines that wrapped up around my legs to my knees. She did my makeup in a soft, natural way, adding only a pale pink to my eyelids, and mascara. She finished the look with a clear lip gloss, before moving onto my hair. She pulled it back, doing a beautiful messy braid down my back. She pulled out some hair from the front, allowing curls to fall and frame my face. I stood, looking in the mirror, I looked beautiful. “I-Is this really me?” I asked, staring into the mirror before reaching out to touch it softly. Feryn smiled brightly. “Of course it is! You’re so beautiful!” She pulled out a necklace, one made of pearls, and placed it softly around my neck. I reached up, touching the pearly gently. “Now, let’s get you prepped for dinner with all four kings!”
