Erick’s P.O.V

I watched on as Caroline’s tiger backed up to jump at her again, but then May started running at her, startling not only Caroline, but everyone else that was watching as well. Caroline quickly recovered from the shock and started running towards May, meeting her head on as they collided and started fighting full on. I was desperate to protect my mate and my cat, Nathan, was roaring in my head, wanting nothing more than to jump in and protect our mate by killing that traitorous b***h Caroline.

“Erick, son, calm down, it will be okay. Let them do this. If Caroline wins then you have already told her that you still won’t want her, so if she wins then we will destroy her. Just calm down.” My dad said, holding me back to stop me getting in the middle of their fight. It was hard and I knew that I had to calm down because May would need me to, but that was my mate out there and she was getting hurt.

“LET ME OUT!! LET ME SHIFT AND I WILL TEAR THAT b***h TO SHREDS!!! OUR MATE IS FIGHTING, LET’S HELP HER NOW!!!” Nathan roared in my head, trying to take control and shift, but I managed to push him back down. Caroline’s tiger was scratching at May’s back, leaving bloody trails all the way down and it made me and my cat even angrier when we saw how the blood was pouring down her back. May screamed out in pain and I clenched my fists as my dad struggled to hold me back.

May’s P.O.V

I didn’t mean to scream out, but when I felt her claws sink into my skin and down my back, tearing the flesh I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I knew that the other’s couldn’t help me, no matter how much they wanted to and I didn’t want them getting involved in this. This was between me and that b***h. Caroline clawed furiously at my back with her front paws, but her back paws were next to my head, so I grabbed her hind legs and caught her off guard as I flipped her over, making her land hard on her back. I quickly stood up and scurried over to her, getting on top of her and started punching her tiger in the head and face. Caroline was just about to latch onto my neck with her jaws when suddenly she started shifting back and I knew that she didn’t want to because she growled out in frustration.

Caroline’s P.O.V

“No, Lisa, come back. We need to shift back to win.” I said, talking to my tiger.

“No I do not. I told you that if you did this I would ask the Moon Goddess to find me another human, one more deserving and she has granted my wish. It will take me a while to come back, but at least I won’t be inside you. You are now fully human.” Lisa said and then she was gone.

“NO!! LISA COME BACK!!! I’M SORRY, COME BACK!!! LISA!!!” I screamed out into the open and everyone knew right away what had happened to me, that I had lost my tiger.

“Who the hell is Lisa?” May asked, looking confused as I pushed her off me. I stood up and snarled at May, pissed off that I had not only lost Erick, but now I had lost my tiger and it was all her fault.

“IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!! IF IT WASN’T FOR YOU I WOULD BE THE LUNA OF THIS PACK!!! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING, YOU f*****g b***h!!!” I screamed out and ran right at her. I was swinging my fists like a crazy person, hoping to do a lot of damage to her and I managed to land a few hits, punching May in the nose, eye and mouth, then I punched her in the stomach, making her double over. May grabbed her stomach, trying to catch her breath and I was just about to hit her again when May suddenly caught my fist from hitting her in the face again.

May’s P.O.V

My face was already sore and bleeding from my nose and mouth after the last round of hits I took, but I still refused to give up, even though my eye felt like it was on fire. My blood was dripping on the ground and when I looked up at Caroline just as she was about to punch me again I caught her fist and then swung her arm away. I punched Caroline in the mouth and nose, repaying what she had done to me.

“Paybacks a b***h, b***h. Why are you not shifting into your tiger?” I asked, confused as to why she suddenly shifted back to fight in her human form. I grabbed Caroline and flipped her over, forcing her to land hard on the ground, then I got on top of her again and started raining down punches to her face. I grabbed Caroline’s head with both hands and started bashing it on the ground, until she was knocked out, but I just carried on hitting her head.

“May….May….May…it’s okay, she’s out. You knocked her out, it’s over, honey. You won.” Erick said, stopping my assault on Caroline. I looked up and saw Rune and Hope standing next to us, but both of them looked pissed off. Didn’t they want me to win? Were they rooting for Caroline? She was one of them, after all.

“Take this traitorous piece of s**t to the cells, she will live out the rest of her life in there.” Rune said and I knew that he was using his Alpha tone because even though I wasn’t a werecat I could still feel the power coming off him. Rune turned his head to me and his look softened as he puffed out his chest, letting me know that he was proud of me.

“There are showers out there and she can bathe and be fed until she dies, that’s it.” Rune said, giving the order and just as he said that Caroline came to.

“YOU WILL NEVER BE MY LUNA!!! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WEAK!!!” Caroline screamed at me, but just as I was about to do something about it I was beat to it. Hope walked over to Caroline and punched her right in the face.

“Will you shut the f**k up. Take this girl to the cells now.” Hope said and four guards came over and grabbed Caroline. They held her and dragged her kicking and screaming to the cells. I finally managed to calm down with the help of Erick, but then my legs gave way from under me and I fell to the ground after losing too much blood in the fight.

Erick’s P.O.V

I held May and tried to calm her down, but the adrenaline must have worn off because she collapsed on the ground and that’s when I noticed just how much blood she had lost. I hurried to pick her up and ran as fast as I could to the pack hospital, mind-linking the doctor on the way there. As soon as I got inside I took May straight into a room and laid her down on the table.

“She has lost a lot of blood, too much, we are going to have to do a transfusion. We have human blood here to give her, unless you want to give her your blood, Alpha.” The doctor said, but I quickly shook my head.

“No, if I give her my blood then she will turn into a werecat and she doesn’t want that, not until she is ready. Give her the human blood now and do the transfusion. HURRY!!!” I replied and he quickly nodded, hurrying out of the room to get everything they needed to help her. She had to make it, she just had to. May was strong, there was no way this was going to beat her. There was no way that she would die at the hands of that b***h.
