Judy clenched her fists, rage surging through her. She must get rid of this fool.
There was no place for her. Not in this family.
In the room.
Roy placed Ann on the bed, and covered the sheets for her.
He reached for her feet, but immediately Ann curled into a ball and stared at him, terrified.
What did this man want?
"It's okay. I won't harm you. I'm giving you a foot massage. It'll ease with pain. You must be tired walking all the way home." With that he grabbed her foot and began to massage it.
That felt nice.
But why was he being so nice? Because she was his wife, and it didn't matter if she was a fool or not?
Ann started sobbing: "Hubby, Anny got lost. Anny couldn't find the way home."
If he was being nice because he wanted something from her, she'd find out.
"How did you find the way home?" Roy asked with assumed carelessness.
It was next to impossible for a fool to find her way home. Not to mention that they got married only yesterday.
Roy still had some doubts.
Ann giggled: "Anny is smart. Anny asked them where to find the biggest house. They showed Anny the way. Hubby, Anny is not ill. Anny is really smart. Anny doesn't want to go back to the hospital. Anny is scared." Ann threw her arms around his neck and nuzzled up against him.
Roy stiffened. He gave a few coughs.
"Is hubby sick? Is hubby okay?" Ann blinked.
But before Roy could say anything, Ann burst into tears.
Um...what was she crying for?
"Hubby don't die. Anny wants hubby. Hubby protects Anny."
Ann cried out loud, causing Roy to chuckle. He fondled her hair: "Are you worrying for me or worrying for yourself? Just don't run away again, okay? Bed now."
Ann let out a breath she had been holding.
At least he stopped asking questions.
Looked like he really fell for it, the poor little mentally charged girl and all that.
She closed her eyes and drifted into sleep.
But tears were still streaming down her cheeks, and she muttered in her sleep: "Anny is not sick. Anny doesn't want shots."
Sleep talking!
Roy frowned, wiping her tears and pulling her into his arms.
The next morning.
Ann wanted to shift a little, but found she couldn't.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she saw Roy's handsome face right next to hers.
Jerk! Even in sleep, he wanted a piece of her!
Her hand balled into a fist, and was ready to strike when Roy wrapped his hand around hers, grinning: "I told you, Anny. You can't beat me, but you can bite me."
Bite? He meant kiss, this bastard!
Ann rubbed her eyes: "Hubby is bad. Hubby is heavy and Anny can't breathe."
"You talked in your sleep yesterday. Did you..." Roy trailed off.
Ann furrowed her brows.
She sleep talked?
No way! Did she say anything she shouldn't have?
Wait wait, this could be a trick of his to get information out of her.
Ann giggled: "Anny dreamt of hubby."
"Oh, you dreamt of being with me? Bad Anny."
Wha-a-t?
No, it was not dream of sleeping with him, this i***t!
"No, Hubby..."
"I can help you." Roy cut her off. He fondled her collarbone with his fingertips, and slowly worked the way down.
Bastard!!!
Ann clenched her fists, but before she could hit him on the face, Judy knocked.
"Mr Roy, Master Lewis is here. He's waiting for you at the study."
Roy got up, not forgetting to tell Ann: "You can go back to sleep."
Ann nodded, lying there and peeping at him from under the sheets.
Roy freshened up and opened the door.
Judy protested: "Mr Roy, master Lewis wants to see both of you."
"Leave her be. I'll handle this."
Ann heard Roy say. Wow. This man was really a nice husband, wasn't he? Well, except being too eager for intercourse.
Judy wasn't happy with the arrangement. She glared at Ann before closing the door behind her.
Ann was left alone in the room.
She sat up and noticed something under the pillow.
She took it out, and it was the pill Lily gave her yesterday.
There was a sheet of paper next to it, which said "RY Research Institute".
Looked like Roy got suspicious after seeing the pill. That was why he pretended he wanted to have s*x; because he wanted to see her reaction, and see if she was really a fool or just pretending to be one.
Making sure she was alone, Ann took out her phone and sent a message to someone: "The pill Roy Lewis sent for test is aphrodisiac."
After doing this, she got up and walked into the bathroom.
In the study.
"So you're just gonna live with it? What, are you afraid of them? It's they who asked for this marriage, but now they sent a fool to marry with you. You're just gonna swallow that?" Shawn Lewis growled at him.
Roy said between coughs: "Grandpa, I'm dying. No matter who I marry, I'll be holding them back."
"When the Reeds took our money, they didn't say anything about holding anyone back. Where's that fool? I want to see her." Shawn demanded.
"Grandpa, she is innocent." Roy said curtly.
"You want to protect that fool?! You really disappoint me, Roy. It's a good thing your father didn't let you take charge. You..." Shawn heaved a sigh. He was really disspointed.
Roy didn't say anything. He just sat there and coughed.
Judy cut in: "Master, this is all the Reeds' fault. Mr Roy is too ill to deal with them. But we need to get rid of the fool."
"Where are they?!" Shawn scowled.
"We're here. Mr Lewis, we're here. Please forgive us for being late." Jeff apologized. Rachel Stock and Eva Reed was close behind him.
But Eva's head was bandaged, as if she was badly injured.
"How dare you send a fool to marry my grandson?! Do you think I'm gonna let you get away with it?" Shawn slapped his hand on the table.
"Please allow us to expain. We didn't do any such thing. It's Ann Reed. She kidnapped Eva and took the liberty to marry Mr Roy. We didn't know any of this." Rachel wept.
