Crystal was struck by a sure memory didn’t belong to her at all, she saw a woman, a man dressed royally, his body dripped of power, his Sapphire eyes were mesmerizing and enchanting but it also radiates strange power, his face was blank as he stood gallantly as what looked like a throne pier. Studying the interior of the room it wasn’t hard to tell that she was in a throne hall…the hall was huge and the ceiling was raised up by very tall pillars with elaborate designs, the pathway that led to the throne pomp which was raised by a few stairs was symbolized by a red thick rug which by each side was few chairs that seem to have been crafted out f Gold. It was perfect…it was a throne room, how was it possible? She had no idea and then she saw the man who stood gallantly and confidently like a Greek god had his hands stitched out to a lady whose back was turned to her.
Beside the man on the throne, the pier was a woman with glowing hair and exceptionally radiant beauty.
“I love you so much, don’t you ever doubt that” The woman professed as she caressed the cheek of the lady knelt in front of her.
“Be fast with it, I can’t hold her down for much longer” The power dripping from the man’s voice had fear gripping me tightly, it was starting to suffocate Crystal somehow. The woman with the glowing hair nodded and sobbed placing her palm on the lady’s chest but then the lady started to struggle, the man who seems to have been holding her down since been having difficulty in doing so. His hand was stretched out and his eyes were glowing but the more the lady struggled the dimmer the glow in his eyes got.
The woman’s finger clasped and tightened as if she was drawing something, something Crystal didn’t catch the perfect glimpse at as the lady’s back was turned to her but then she saw it…it was a strand, of light, she had no idea if that was even possible but she watched as the woman with the glowing hair forcefully pulled out the light but the woman seems to be doings forcefully and she seems to be in toil in acting, the lady was shaking and trembling tremendously as this goes on but the lady stopped struggling as more length of the light was pulled out of her.
With a heavy sigh, the woman with the glowing hair groaned as she snapped the light out and panted softly as the last piece of the strand left the lady whose body immediately dropped after this and everything started to go dim and by the time Crystal snapped out of the memory trance she was on her bed at home, which was very strange, she didn’t really what happened to her but she could remember every detail of the memory that struck her. She groaned out softly as she tiredly rubbed her eyes while feeling a strange headache. She stood and headed downstairs…she could hear voices coming from the sitting room, concluding it belongs to her parents she decided to call on her mom.
“Mom I think I need some painkillers, my head terribly” She complained before finally arriving at the end of the stairs. Her eyes fell on two strange but familiar people sitting down opposite her parents. Crystal’s brows slightly furrowed as she tried to recall where she met the boy and the girl and it occurred to her, they had come to her rescue when she was attacked on her way home.
“Helen’s friends right?” She inquired pointing at the girl.
“Yes,” She replied softly in her tiny voice.
“You know them?” Violet turned to her daughter in question.
“Yeah…not really, they are friends of my classmate, what are they doing here by the way?” Crystal asked wondering why the two have decided to approach her parents. She started to worry that they might have come to tell her mother about all the crazy things she had managed to discover in the past couple of days.
“They found you passed out not too far from the pawnshop…they think it’s exhaustion and I must say after examining you I also think the same, you need more rest Crystal” Violet worried evident in her voice as she speak.
“I’m fine mom…I’m just tired and I’m fine-
“Your dad and I think you should skip school tomorrow to rest fully, we also heard about the missing teacher and the missing student in your school we think it...it’s better you stay home and study for a while” Violet nervously relayed to her daughter because she was certain she would say no.
“No” Crystal sharply objected and with a frown on her face.
“I told you she was gonna say no” Violet turned to Hayden who let out a sigh.
“Crystal it’s not safe-
“I’m not having this discussion with you right now dad” Crystal interjected her dad then swiftly turned to Garnet and Amber who had been watching their banter.
“Thank you so much for bringing me home but can I see you outside for a minute?” Crystal requested pointing towards the direction of the door but didn’t wait for them to say yes before heading there.
“Um sure,” Amber mumbled before standing up with Garnet beside her then the following Crystal at once.
“What happened there? Did you get into my head or something?” Crystal asked them shortly after the two closed the door behind them.
“No, you fainted after gasping…we didn’t do anything” Amber responded but Crystal wasn’t convinced just yet.
“You didn’t show me a palace-
“A palace?” Garnet arched a brow.
“Yeah, I was in a palace and I saw a woman with glowing hair and a man that was radiating some kind of power that almost suffocated me they were removing something from a lady who knelt before them, do you know what that means?” Crystal questioned them but they looked just as clueless as her.
“Forget it…it’s probably a dream, anyway thanks for saving today…even if it’s what you do. What about Helen and her boyfriend, she said something about him being in danger” Crystal worried.
“You already asked us that but you need not worry, they are both fine. Stay safe” It was Garnet that replied to her this time and she nodded before heading back inside to see her mother setting the table.
“Where is…where are your friends?” Violet asked peeping to see if there was anyone behind Crystal but there was none.
“Oh, they left” Crystal shrugged.
“That’s said, I wanted them to wait for dinner” Violet sounded disappointed and sighed before moving back to the kitchen. Crystal ate her food in silence which was very unusual to her parents who kept glancing at her side very often while studying her expression closely, after eating for a while she stood and announced that she was done.
“Crystal” Hayden called back her daughter as she intended to head straight back to bed.
“I’m going to school tomorrow that, I’m not a kid and I can take care of myself” Crystal objected right before Hayden could say what he intended to say.
“I wanted to say Goodnight” Hayden snickered and Crystal felt embarrassed at speedily snapping at her dad before he could talk.
“Goodnight” She responded uncomfortably before turning back to the stairs to head back to her room where she jumped back to her bed. She took her phone and scroll through for a while but dropped it after minutes of scrolling she had no friends so she never expected texts from anyone but after dropping, she heard a notification beep and she quickly grabbed back the phone without hesitation.
‘Hey, it’s me Damian…got your number from f*******:. You are a very hard person to find, I forgot to collect your number in school today, I hope you don’t mind’ She read and felt a warm smile creeping on her face. Knowing Damian go through f*******: to look for her number was a gesture that impressed her a lot, after staring at the phone for several more minutes she decided to reply to him but whatever she types, she kept erasing it unsure of what to reply with.
“Are you gonna reply that?” Crystal flinched on hearing Helen’s voice.
“Helen” She called out in concern and Helen wore a smile as she walked up to her bed.
“Hello there?” She smiled before Crystal sprouted to her feet to go meet her.
“Where in the-
“Shh” Helen shushed Crystal to avoid them drawing attention from Crystal’s parents, Crystal got the hint and reduced her voice.
“Where have you been?” Crystal asked in a low voice.
“Tending to some business, I came to check up on you? Are you okay?” Helen inquired with concern evident in her voice.
“Yeah, I’m fine…thanks to you but why do you send your friends instead of coming yourself?” Crystal asked out of curiosity.
“Like I said I was in no condition to show up but they told me something that got me worried, Crystal did you tell them you had a dream” Helen moved closer to her.
“Yes, it felt so vivid like I was there-
“What was it about?” Helen asked anxiously and Crystal explained everything that she had seen to Helen. Crystal noticed how nervous was after hearing about her dream which she still think was a memory fragment, a fragment of a memory that doesn’t belong to her.
“It’s my sister’s memory…Crystal, please…we have to remove my sister’s soul from you...you know that white strand of light you saw?” Helen paused and Crystal nodded.
“It’s my sister’s soul and the woman and man standing in front of her…are our parents, though my dad’s dead now but…that soul, is inside of you right now and if my guess is right, my sister’s memories surfacing is not a very good sign right now” Crystal was too shocked to say anything so she just stared at Helen as she speaks.
“Your parents removed your sister’s soul? Shouldn’t that be illegal, it looked like they were harming her? Why would they do that? And how did that soul end up inside of me? Is that possible?” Crystal had questions, all of which she didn’t have the chance to answer before Crystal’s parents came to check up on her so, Helen disappeared before they could come into the room; leaving Crystal in confusion.
