THE FORSAKEN ANGEL

Episode 13-Poisoned

Alex after leaving Hazelfield had a lot on his mind as he flew back to their hideouts, he was too preoccupied to notice the shadows creeping swiftly after him as he soar high in the sky and continue to head-on, for 30mins he kept flying but had to stop when his brain registered a distress call from a very familiar angel one whom he couldn’t really tell. He contemplated returning to their hideouts or answering the distress call which was starting to worry him a bit too much, it could be an angel in distress or…a trap for him, it left him in a tight position, he knew the location of the sound so he decided it was best for him to get help from his group first…that way he wouldn’t leave to rescue the angel alone but before he could resume flying his eyes caught on something, he felt an aura…different from any he was used to, he knew that moment he was being followed by shadow demons, then it occurred to him.

The angel sending him a distress call could also be in the same danger that he is or…they could be sending him a distress call to warn him of the arm…or probably they wanted to lure him away from the camp that way he wouldn’t lead the demons to their hideout, Alex didn’t know which and he couldn’t ask his phoenix since he hadn’t heard from him since he got weaker as a result of the growing chaos, feeling entirely clueless, Alex decided to head to the direction of the wing call which was an entirely different and quite opposite in direction to where the main hideout was. Alex hoped it was his group calling and not the demons luring him into another trap, there was no way he could keep Helen safe if he was in danger himself.

As Alex got closer…the frequency and panic wave the call was sending got even louder that it made Alex want to cover his ears but it was best he could fly even faster to reach the angel and stop whoever it could be. Alex from afar saw the figure of a girl and a guy whose look get even more familiar as he draw closer to them.

“Pearl?” He muttered to himself as he hovered above them and slowly lowered himself to the ground then, he slowly retract his wings staring carelessly at Pearl and Garnet who were staring behind him instead of looking at him and probably providing him a proper explanation. Pearl also retracted her wings which she had used to send the call and looked into Alex's confused face.

“You were being followed…Morgan saw it” Pearl explained and Alex nodded, the story didn’t sound all strange, he was aware of Morgan’s families and the abilities that transcended down their family tree for ages so…it wasn’t strange to him.

“They are going to attack Alex, I think they would and that’s why he instructed me to come here as you might need some help finding them off" Pearl informed and Alex nodded slowly turning back to see the fast-moving demons moved to their front and slowly transformed into the demons they are.

The shadows were Knights of Vera, used to serve the old demon king until he was brutally murdered by Vera's mate since he was an unrecognized bastard son of his, it was said that they were ruthless creatures that were extremely fast at night...fighting them when the sun was low was a terrible idea for every angel but since the resistance got few more hours till the sun goes low, they still have higher chances of winning. The shadow demons have some kind of shadow vapor oozing out of them as they moved, and their face was covered like ninjas, they use samurai swords and dress very much like Chinese Ninja's, all black...it was rumored that their blades were pretty lethal to angels as it was lace with the moon venom...a venom produced by making a tree out of the old demon king, the old demon king had the most lethal poison, lethal enough that it ended the life of the Angel king in just an hour. No angels could survive their strike...at least none have yet.

"By the order of the overall heir to the throne, Queen Vera...you shall submit and accept your punishment of rebelling against the queen"

"You wish" Pearl spat her hands instantly building a ball of light while Alex's eyes flamed up to build a fireball. The earth they stood on started to tremble as Garnet raise heavy stones in their defense. The shadows attacked with their swords bared at them.

"Be careful and don't allow their swords to touch you" Pearl warned after five shadow Knights rounded them up. Pearl having the higher advantages since they hate light the most started shooting light balls at them, which effect was powerful enough to throw them away immediately it hit them, Alex hands brew fire and he kept spewing fire at any of those that come closer while Garnet make the earth shift under them anytime they come closer to him. He even succeeded in burying one alive into the earth why making him sink totally into the ground then squeezed the earth on him making the earth clash with him until he was nothing but a pile of meat.

One of the shadows wasn't so happy about this and become a black smoke spiraling straight for Garner but Pearl come in aid and directed a full surge of light right into the shadow instantly combusting and exploding him leaving nothing but black remains of his ripped black clothing and black residue. Garnet and Pearl were distracted by that for a while and didn't see the shadow behind them but before their blade could touch Pearl Alex swiftly blocked the strike then burn the shadow alive but he was immediately paralyzed.

Pearl on seeing this scream out in agony of what they just did to Alex creating even a bigger wave of lightwave that busted the two remaining demons and almost blinded Garnet who had managed to close his eyes as Pearl screamed, any second later and he would have gone blind but as they immediately knelt to tend to Alex more shadows arrived leaving them and a trembling Alex in the middle.

Before the demons could act they got hypnotized by a voice so sweet that they immediately turned and walked up to her.

"Good boys" Hematite smiled her eyes glowing light pink as she moved closer to the shadows

"The burden of chasing us all around must be heavy, isn't it? Why don't you all relieve each other of the burden" Hematite urged and the shadows immediately nodded to her commands instantly baring their blades and digging them inside the opposite shadows immediately exploding them but after the last one exploded, Hematite glow disappeared and she collapsed right into Morgan's hands. As he had stood behind him the whole time.

"Is she right?" Rose questioned raising her head up to stare at Hematite who had just collapsed after joining Garnet and Pearl kneeling next to Alex who was now emitting smoke.

"She's just exhausted; she used up her energy compelling does demons" Morgan explained raising Hematite into her hands in a bridal style.

"What about him?" Morgan questioned head gesturing towards Alex who wasn't looking so good at all.

"He's in a very terrible shape if you ask me" Garnet announced trying to touch Alex but his hands burned. Jasper landed right then and instantly ran for him; even if they were both from the same family, Jasper also got burned as he tried touching him.

"What happened?" Jasper worried his eyes immediately lacing with tears.

"He took a strike for me, he was poisoned" Pearl broke down into a sob completely clueless on what to do as none of them could even touch him but then the princess landed heavily with a stance. Her wings immediately retracted as she got closer to them. The few angels kneeling close to Alex stood to make way for her. Helen without saying a word moved closer to her mate and immediately raised him to her hands, resting his head to her chest, every single place Alex's body touched, the clothes burn away but not the princess skin as she immediately fused with her Phoenix to become as cold as she could.

"His organs are collapsing" Helen notified as she placed her hands over Alex's stomach.

"Ruby, Rose...I want you to produce a healing antidote for me, one that can stop failing organs-

"No one has ever survived the poison Princess" Garnet muttered softly.

"You want me to just give up on him?" we'll do everything we can to save him?" Helen immediately retorted with her voice having a slight echo since she wasn't the only one talking, others instantly moved back as she was in her most dangerous state, her hair was white and her eyes were glowing sky blue but had totally become white.

"Now!" Helen bellowed to the girls and they set to work...Rose was extremely good in herbs she came from the Prasinos family. Even as the land around wasn't so fertile, she grew a few herbal plants out of it while Ruby had her eyes closed as she open her senses to call upon a few minor animals that their organs or venom could cure failing organs. After Helen was assured that they were working she turned Alex to the back to see the small s***h that was emitting black fume. Helen closed her eyes and the sky darkens, after clenching her teeth and fist...a thunderbolt strike and Helen trapped it inside a ball of water.

"Rite, I know you're in there..you have to fuse with his body, he cannot take this much electricity if you don't help him...it's the only way to stop the poison from spreading" Helen softly pleaded and Alex's eyes fluttered open with his eyes consumed with Fire. Helen seeing this made the water into a thin water line that she slipped into Alex's wound.

Alex flinched and jumped the go into tremor in reaction feeling the heavy electricity spread through every part of his body. Helen closed her eyes and lay her palm over Alex. She could feel the venom stopping as it was already racing for his heart, she could feel its effect slowing down...it was the perfect time to get it out of him but it's wasn't so simple.

She started to channel the poison from his nerves, slowly to his knee making sure they didn't pass any other organs, nor pass his heart. She successfully forced it out through the wound after which she controlled the electricity out of him by pressing his hands on his chest while pointing two fingers of her other hand towards the other side of the hill, she hissed as she felt the electricity sipped into her and briskly moved out towards her palm and straight towards the hills that blasted off few rocks by the Helen turned back...Alex tremor had stopped but his eyes were closed. Helen looked up to the girls who had successfully made an ointment and potion for failing organs with the held of Jasper who had to help them make a fire to boil the concoction together while Garnet had made a clay pot out of clay.

Helen applied the ointment to the area of the wound and forced the potion down Alex's throat but after a few minutes Helen panicked.

"His heart stopped" Helen announced as she was suddenly consumed by panic.
