“Hi, I’m Calvin…I’m Connor’s twin brother” Connor’s replica voiced and Crystal heaved a heavy sigh of relief gaining Calvin’s attention. “Do you by any chance know my brother?” Calvin throws the question to Crystal who decided to handle the situation as confidently as she could. “Well…all I know is that; he was the blonde guy that injured my friend in the court…not very fond of him” Crystal mustered up the last courage in her to speak. “I can very much see that” Calvin muttered narrowing his eyes at Crystal in suspicion but nothing was said afterward except the bell rang and the entire student that had gathered up around them reluctantly headed for their classes. Crystal grabbed the ginger-haired boy the three boys were bullying by the collar while brushing shoulders with the three Tee’s as she led the boy away with Damian still sticking to her side. “I think you should be more careful with those mischievous three…if they ever lay a finger on you again; report to the principal immediately” Crystal advised their junior after they walked farther away from the others not too far from Crystal’s next class. The boy nodded giving him a warm smile before immediately running back to his own class. Right, when Crystal wanted to go into the class with Damian, who had a satisfied look on his face; her eyes caught on the figure of Calvin who stood at the intersection between three different hallways while staring keenly at her looking all hot in the white jersey top and pants he had on. Crystal nervously turned away not wanting and walked into her class ignoring Calvin’s disturbing gaze. Crystal was not so in the mood for her class and ended up sleeping off in class but her sleep was cut short by the sound of the bell and immediately had to stand to head home. “No detention today, that’s an improvement” Crystal commended herself and dug in her earpiece as she walked down the school main entrance to leave but was called back by Damian who was trying to catch up with her. “Crystal” Damian called and Crystal immediately turned to face Damian who was now running while clumsily trying to fasten his backpack to his back and keeping the book pile in his hands stable at the same time. The act made Crystal smile and walk up to help him with one of the actions. “You…you haven’t given me a response yet” Damian mumbled while slowly raising his free hand to her neck while slowly rubbing it in an attempt to avoid looking into Crystal’s eyes but after a brief awkward silence he was voiced to look at her directly in the eyes but didn’t hold the gaze for long. “I mean…you know…the party on Saturday. Will you go with me?” Damian specified, understanding Crystal’s confused expression. “Oh, yeah…I wouldn’t mind going with you” Crystal smiled trying to stop herself from wearing her excitement all over her face because no one has ever asked her out to a party before. Damian nodded and smiled staring shyly into her face but realizing her face had somehow reddened but he didn’t know if that had a logical explanation or not. “Your face…it’s red, you okay?” Damian unmindfully asked while pointing to Crystal’s reddish cheeks. "Oh, it’s nothing…I…I should get going” Crystal stuttered a little while walking away in embarrassment. After some minutes' walk, Crystal returned her earpiece but was quite mindful of her surrounding as she was hoping to bump into Helen again. “I hope she’s alright” Crystal mumbled to herself as she worried for Helen who had left in such a hurry not so long after she passed out. “Was Alex really in danger or she was just embarrassed she passed out in front of me?” Crystal asked no one in particular as she continue to talk to herself, she was getting closer to her home when she saw a familiar figure standing between the alleyway that led to her house. “Calvin” She muttered to herself and gulped as fear suddenly engulfed her. “Hello” Calvin smiled walking up to her, unlike back in school he was in a simple black t-shirt, with ripped faded jeans complemented by a white canvas. “Hi, I know you…you are the boy from our school? Do you live here?” Crystal responded trying to sound as casual and unaffected as she could as she met with the boy. “Yes, I live in the area, and you?” No matter Crystal’s composure Calvin still had a suspicious gleam on his face one which Crystal couldn’t quite comprehend. “Yeah…I also live a few blocks from here” Crystal sounded breathless but she managed to calm down not wanting her fear to get the best out of her. “That’s nice- “You said you were looking for your brother; any news from him yet?” Crystal casually asked meeting Calvin’s cat eyes for the first time since he approached her. “No…nothing yet; he just…vanished. The local police said it has happened with a teacher in your school before?” That definitely sounded like an interrogation to Crystal but she decided to play along. “Yes, Mrs. Craig…she…was my Geometry teacher” Crystal wore a sad guilt-stricken face that made Calvin narrow his eyes at her. “Do you know what happened to her?” Calvin asked and Crystal slowly nodded. “Nothing really, the last time I saw her she was talking to the Liberian” Crystal lied plainly and Calvin nodded staring keenly at Crystal-like he was reading his expression or something. “You have been very helpful” Calvin’s voice gave Crystal a terrible feeling but she ignored the strange feeling that was rising up her gut. “I haven’t been that helpful…wish I could be any more of assistance but I do hope you find your brother soon…bye” Crystal said trying to leave but then Calvin held her back making her flinch. “I don’t like liars, they gave a terrible taste to my mouth…you’re neither a demon nor an angel but you can see me for what I truly am, you must have a gift of sight…was that why you killed my brother? If you don’t know I can feel you radiating an extreme level of fear and I can feel your heartbeat jump anytime you lie” Calvin’s eyes were glowing brighter black fur was starting to grow on him. “I didn’t kill your brother…I can’t even kill anyone” Crystal frowned feeling slightly terrified. “But you know who did? Don’t you?” Calvin pressured but Crystal have no intention of saying anything to him. “I wasn’t there when your brother get killed- “That wasn’t the question...Crystal, right?” Calvin asked wanting to recall her name as he moved closer while Crystal slowly move backward. “Leave me alone!” Crystal spat at him before hitting him on the crotch and making a run for it but she was shocked when she saw him leaping onto the wall and racing after her, then swing by the headlight before jumping in front of her. “You will tell me what I want to hear or I will tear you to shreds right now right here” Calvin threatened and Crystal clenched her wrist ready to fight if necessary. “Oh no you won’t” An unknown voice came and before Calvin could make any action a massive body of air hit him against a rock that just lifted itself from the ground, which felt so weird to Crystal. “Angels” Calvin snarled wanting to use Crystal as a shield but before his hands could find their way to her, the ground beneath him liquidity and he sank shocking Crystal a little. Crystal let out a surprised yelp as she felt a strange force suddenly pulling him towards the angels who had saved his life while Calvin struggled to get out of the ground as the earth had solidified itself. The girl who like Helen was extremely beautiful though had distinct features. She had a long wavy Havana brown hair that stopped by her waist with, pretty midnight blue eyes, glistening ivory skin, heart shape face, and small lips…like every average woman she wasn’t so tall nor short…she was perfect. “Are angels always so pretty?” Crystal muttered the question to herself as she stared at the angel girl who had handed over the half-buried Calvin. “You don’t seem to be a dangerous Demon…just a worried one, because you have chosen the princess for a target I’m afraid I cannot let you live” The girl muttered softly while Calvin’s color start to change as he struggled in his fixed position. “What is she doing to him?” Crystal didn’t mean to ask the question out loud but she was really curious and wanted to know. “Squeezing air out of his lungs…eventually his lungs will collapse and he would give in” The guy who was now standing right behind Crystal answered her silent question and she swallowed the lump in her throat while watching the action with all interest, Calvin eventually stopped the fight and give up, after which the ground liquidity again engulfing the whole body, Crystal knew it was the guy doing that as his hands were stretched out towards Calvin’s direction. Crystal didn’t feel too good about what she saw them do but she knew it was better to have it like that for everyone’s safety. “Hi” The girl smiled flipping her hair and slowly walking up to her high fashion dressing of yellow blouse, white jeans, and black heeled boots all of which matched her pretty face. “I’m Amber, Amber Aera…angel of air and this is Garnet…my mate…I mean boyfriend. We are a friend of the princess, she sent us here to ensure you get home safely. She felt you might be in some kind of danger and seriously; she was pretty right about that. That demon would have hurt you” Amber sighed worriedly staring at Crystal whose gaze had now shifted to Garnet who also repeated a beauty pattern. “Why do Angels have to be so beautiful?” Crystal complained under her breath and Garnet smiled completely impressed that the human girl was smitten by his beauty. “Get over it,” Amber asked hitting Garnet playfully. “We just want to ensure you’re okay? Are you alright? Are you hurt?” Amber questioned in worry and Crystal gave them a warm smile in response but then a head struck Crystal and she started to stagger while feeling some strange images flash before her eyes. -------
