Lily, an Angel warrior that had been serving under Queen Angelite since she become the general seemed to be in trouble escaping a few demons that seem to be on her trail as she try to grab some groceries from the grocery store after waiting for the demons around to leave the grocery store but it turns out they were still few of them left since Vera took the throne a massive number of demons that had eroded the human realm and spreading torment.
Lily was a very agile woman who was in her 50’s but she didn’t look it in the slightest as 50 is still considered a prime age for Angels, they have a very long lifespan unlike the humans, she had long shimmering dark chocolate hair, emerald eyes that reflected her lineage of being from the plant angel family. Her prickles spread over her round face and Greek nose; one that made her stand out anywhere she went. The peach coloured top she had one seems to complement her beige skin perfectly while the tight-fitted jeans grace her sumptuous hips as she tried to lose the angry demons behind her. Her small pouted lips were bitten down in annoyance as she raced down several alleyways until she reached a dead-end.
Lily shut her eyes tight in disappointment as the realisation hit her that she will soon be cornered, Lily run her hand through her chocolate hair in frustration leaving it dishevelled after grabbing a handful and later releasing the strands after about five demons cornered her up. There were three demon guys and two demon girls, all of who wore a smug and satisfied expression realising that she had nowhere left to run.
“You know what? Screw it…I’ll stop running now but let me strike a deal with you, you let me go…and I’ll let you live and we all walk home happy, what you say?” Lily smiled resting her hand on her waist while studying each demon to know their vital points and the type of demons they were. The demon on hearing what she said burst out laughing since they were pretty confident she was outpowered and outnumbered.
“It’s nice to see you give that a try as well but it doesn’t always work…there was a time; an era when demons fear angels but that has come to an end now…so, surrender yourself and we’ll deliver you to the queen in one piece” The brunette among them snarled as she speaks.
“You know…I did warn you first” Lily said before smiling while staring at a giant carnivorous plant she had grown behind them one which decapitated one of the girls by simply taking her head off and when the others turned to fight the giant plant, they turned their back to Lily who grew a large plant with spikes that strike them through, before growing a flesh consuming climbing plants around them…their screams of pain and agony filled the air as well as the scent of their rotten smell blood that was splashed, immediately they’ve been devoured Lily’s eyes glinted green and the plants immediately start to decay.
“What took you so long?” Dylan walked into the alleyway with the groceries in his hand, he was the angel Kid discovered by the princess and also turns out to be the princess first love and also saved the princess from Vera’s poisonous tail during their escape from Angel Bay, the boy seems a little proud and self-conceited per Lily’s conception.
“You could have lent a hand instead of complaining and being good for nothing” Lily retorted with scorn since over the past few weeks of them being together they’ve pretty much gotten used to each other.
“I’m afraid that’s what you said I’m good at, pretending that I’m not alive” Dylan smiled showing off her grocery bags laden hands. Lily shook her head and immediately walked out of him.
“Um, a little help” Dylan complained trying to catch up with Lily while still trying to carry the groceries carefully.
“That’s your part why would I want to help?” Lily scoffed ignoring Dylan’s plea for help as they head to the motel that had been rented for a few days.
“How long do we have to stay here?” Dylan frowned as they passed by a few residents of the motel and a few workers while they approach the door that Lily non-hesitantly got for him as his two hands were too occupied for him to get the door himself.
“Just long enough to throw off those shadow trackers, they’ll properly have moved to the next town thinking we’ve moved as well, we have to mislead them, we can’t ever lead them to the princess” Lily mumbled softly while they pass by the rowdy lounge of the motel, they passed by two workers and some security before stepping unto the creaking wooden stairs and heading for their rooms.
“We could have rented a proper Hotel room you know” Dylan complained after they eventually got to their room door and Lily removed their key in the pocket of her jeans before trying to fit the perfect keys into the keyhole but the malfunctioning of the key made Lily immediately suspected something was wrong.
“We might need to run,” Lily said before pressing down the door handle and facing the shadow trackers who stood staring at them with a look that wasn’t so nice.
“General Lily, it’s so nice of you to join us you know…the queen will be delighted to have you back at the angel realm-
“What made you think I’ll be going with you?” Lily scoffed and the shadows immediately moved closer to them.
“Because you won’t have a choice, so right now you will tell us where to find the princess, or else…he dies” The black mist oozing out of the demon addressing Lily slowly fade out revealing the face of a girl with very dark makeup and black leather hug gown and boots that looked like some vampire’s costume. Lily turned to realize that they had their poisoned sword to Dylan’s neck who seemed to have been overcome with fear as he tried to press his neck against the firm sword across his neck.
“He just got treated from a poison” Lily sighed loudly before her eyes glowed bright green and in a blink of eye climbing plants got everyone trapped.
“I hate being threatened” Lily’s voice echoed as her eyes glow brighter.
“What are you doing, run” Lily’s voice echoed again as he turned to Dylan who didn’t want to move as a result of the sword still pressed to his neck, but it appears the shadow tracker behind him was trying to press it to his neck more firmly but he or she as their identity couldn’t be easily distinguished because of the shadow mist covering them; seems to be having a bit of a problem with that but still Dylan doesn’t want to make a mistake that will result in him losing his head.
“Are you sure I can move right now, I mean he could-” Dylan was still talking when the sword dropped as the weed plants Lily had grown unclasped the hand around the sword?
“I can’t be in my phoenix state for a long, run-
“What about you?” Dylan said immediately after reaching the door.
“Don’t worry about me, just run...I’ll find you” Lily smiled and Dylan immediately left running as fast as his legs could carry him but that wasn’t enough, there were few shadows who were downstairs and he knew too well avoiding them will be hard, he was still thinking about how to race past them or sneak past them when they spotted him and started running after him. Not knowing where else to run; he headed towards the stairs running straight for the last floor where he has rounded up again.
Dylan scared out of his wits started to move towards the edge of the top floor, as he moved closer to the edge of the top floor where he could practically fall to his death, he felt his fear heightened.
He swallowed the lump in his throat immediately his shoes touched the edge, he staggered a little and looked down to the floor of the four-story building which had his heart racing and thumping painfully against his ribs while wearing a panic-stricken face as the shadows didn’t stop advancing towards him, then he slipped...falling but was caught by a huge green giant bird with peculiar wings that immediately soared high into the sky. He met the eyes of the bird as both its claws clasped his upper arm firmly. The green eyes were quite familiar; one that made her smile.
“Lily” He muttered his call but the bird just looked away concentrating on piloting them through the clouds. Dylan had heard a lot about being an angel, a phoenix angel to be exact, being the most powerful group amongst the groups of angels.
Though he was relieved that he was no longer a freak and every strange occurrence that had been happening all that had happened to him when he was growing had an explanation, he was still envious of the phoenix angels, and his group amongst the angel groups was the lowest of the rank. He was a human angel who didn’t have wings like the other lower angel, being a lower angle would have been better, so he thought but it was almost impossible to birth a lower angel or a phoenix angel if one of the parents was human, blaming this way of birth...he could have been born a proper angel. He found Lily magnificent as she could actually transform into an actual phoenix. He felt the breeze hit his face briefly and he inhaled heavily the whole new fresh air.
But after a while of flying, Lily let out a deep crow and started diving down to the surface.
“Lily, are you okay?” Dylan panicked as Lily headed straight for the ground.
“Lily!” Dylan screamed with a panicky voice since they were high up in the sky.
“I’m...transforming...back” Dylan almost couldn’t make Lily’s statement since she was half-talking, half-crowing.
“In the air?!” Dylan panicked again after what Lily said finally sunk in.
“I have to get us to the surface” That came out more clear which was a bad sign, a few inches to the ground Lily totally changed back into human which resulted in the crash landing. Dylan groaned loudly realising he had broken his knee but then he gasped out painfully as his arm snapped slowly healing, it wasn’t just his knee that he had broken. He had broken an arm too and as it snapped back to its original position and heal, he screamed because the process was painful. His eyes caught on Lily who had passed out a few inches away from him, she was completely naked and he could see her wounds slowly healing.
“My baby” Lily muttered unconsciously and Dylan’s eyes bulged out in shock.
