Present Day____
Katsina, Nigeria.
Yasmeen woke up early today other than the other days. She sat up straight as she fixed her gaze on her sister who was still sleeping peacefully. "I'm sorry Yasira, it was all because of me mom had to beat you yesterday" she muttered more to her self. After taking a long deep breath down, she stood to her feet as she sauntered towards her bag, opening the zip,she brought out her short hijab which just stopped at her ankle. Then, she walk out of the room.
She perform her ablution as she went back into their room to perform her fajr prayer. She didn't bother to wake Yasira up coz she knew she's on her period.
Twenty minutes later, she was done. She walk towards her parents door and open it slightly. "She hope, they won't wake up". She thought. She move closer to where her Mom normally pack her dirty clothes to and she pick everything up,she then walk out with the clothes in her hand. She gently close the door, so as not to disturb their peaceful sleep.
"Yasmeen" she heard his voice.
The man of her dream. Faisal
"Fa... Faisal? What are you doing here?"
I just came back from the mosque and was about to enter my room, then I saw you" he replied her with a smile plastered on his face. Whenever he's with Yasmeen, he always smile for no reason.
It's clear that the two loves each other so much.
What's that in your hand?" He asked pointing at the cloth on Yasmeen's hand.
"Erm..it's.. it's Umma's cloth" she shyly replied him. All that happened yesterday's night started flashing back to her. She hope Faisal won't think that bad of her now, since her sister had lied to everyone that it was all her fault.
Faisal saw the look on her face as he gave her his assuring smile "Don't worry, I trust you Yasmeen"
This got her surprised, she was reluctant at first but still raise up her head to look him in the eyes. There, she saw the sincerity of his tone in his eyes. Now, she could never ask for a better husband like Faisal.
"Thank you" she whispered. Even though she's not the type that shy easily, she had started becoming addicted to it whenever she's with Faisal.
Do you know that feeling you get when ever you're with the man of your dream? Where you feel shy for no reason. Well, that's the present situation of Yasmeen
"Don't mention. So, are you about to wash the clothes?"
"Yes...you know, I want to make it up to Umma for what happened yesterday"
"I'll help you"
"No!!! I mean,I will be very glad. But I just want to be the one to do it"
"But-"
"Please Faisal" she beg whilst he nod his head in understanding. "If you say so, but I'll help you fetch the water. At least, you can't stop me from doing that"
"How can I, when you're proving stubborn already" she rolled her eyes and she receive a chuckle from him in return.
"Come on, let's get everything done before everyone wake up"

By the time Yasmeen was done with the cloth, she has gotten tired then she decide to take a little nap.
Fifteen minutes later, she heard her name being called in her sleep. "Yasmeen!"
May be I'm just dreaming. She internally told her self.
"Yasmeen!" She heard the same voice again.
Umma!!
Then, she open her eyes widely from her sleep. She stood up, pick up her hijab and quickly walk out from the room. She met her Mom standing beside where she had spread the clothes. "Did you wash all these clothes?" She asked.
"Actually, I...erm.. I didn't.. I-" she was still stuttering not able to find the right word to say as her sister beat her to it.
"Actually Umma, I did" Yasira said with a sweet smile on her face.
Yasmeen again got shocked by her sister's confession.
"Ummi, it wasn't-" Faisal wanted to tell Zahrahu that it wasn't Yasira who washed the cloth, instead,it was Yasmeen. But he couldn't finish his word as Yasmeen shook her head at him, and signal him not to utter a word.
He looked angry,Yasmeen understood the look he gave her but she doesn't have a choice. If that's what will make her sister to forgive her, then she's ready to do twice than this.
You mean, you washed all of this cloth?" Zahrahu asked in a surprise tone. Never in a million years, will she ever thought her second daughter will just wake up someday and washed all of her cloth for her.
"Actually Umma, I wanted to beg you to please forgive me. I'll never repeat such thing again. It wasn't my intention to go out with Ukthy but I was blinded by her bribe, that's why...please will you forgive me" she told her Mother as she try to show her her puppy face.
"Of course I forgive you. Come here" she stretch out her hand for her and Yasira engulf her Mother into a tight hug.
"I love you Umma"
"And I love you too"
After breaking the hug, Zahrahu turn to her first daughter. "Learn from her, I can't believe you Yasmeen. You're the eldest, you need to act like one!" She said angrily as she walk back to her room.
Faisal gave Yasira a deadly glare,Yasira in return eye him up and down, then hiss afterward while Yasmeen, only smile at her sister.
Silly girl! At least now she's happy.
If it's about Umma, I know how to make her heart softened towards me. But, I'm happy that she's no more mad at Yasira.
"What?" Yasira irritatedly ask both Faisal and Yasmeen.
"It wasn't you who washed the cloth Yasira!" Faisal gritted out in annoyance.
"So? Was it you who washed the cloth? My sister washed it and she never complained,so how does that even concern you?" She hiss again.
"Don't go and look for a better job, your mate are there working in the office, you should be here following my sister up and down like a dog. Nonsense!"
"Yasira stop that!" Yasmeen scolded"
"Please! I wasn't talking to you. Bird of the same feathers!"
"Yasira please, I said I'm sorry"
"Do you think sorry can ever solve what you did to me? For goodness sake,my leg still hurts till now and you asked me to forgive you, just like that? Never! I'll never forgive you Ya Yasmeen" she retorted. She glance over from Faisal to Yasmeen before muttering "look at them. Indeed, the two of you fit each other. Only the unsocial one can marry the poor one. Nonsense!" She hissed and then walk away.
"Look, I'm sorry Faisal. She didn't mean what she just said, she's still angry with me that's why. I hope you'll understand her"
"I don't feel bad in whatever she had said to me Yasmeen, but what about you? Don't you think you're too lenient on her? I mean, she lied yesterday to your parents and everyone that you're the one who went out with a guy. Mean while, she was the one who forced you to,and now? She also lied that she had washed the cloth. Does she even know how you packed and wash those clothes? Again, she was hail instead of you"
"I understand you Faisal, but she's still my sister"
"I'm not disputing that Yasmeen. But if you don't do something quickly about this, you might regret it someday"
"What do you mean?" She asked with an upset tone, even though she tried to put on her straight face. The anger laced in her voice didn't go unnoticed by him
"Look, I don't mean to be rude or make her feel like she's the bad guy here. But if you continue like this with her, someday she might take away your right from you and you wouldn't be able to fight for it nor will you be able to do anything about it. Think about it carefully" he told her as he also walk away leaving her alone with her thought.
