Chapter 10

Asher's POV

"Trust me, Asher. I am really alright" Sienna says as she jogs from one side of the pack house to the other, "see" she says again, as she runs towards me this time.

She really did get a lot better in the last one week. Drake stayed with us for a few days and he helped Sienna practice walking while I was busy with my Alpha duties.

"Alright. I'll see" I say and she squeals just for that.

"That doesn't mean you can take up your Gamma role now. I still need to tell you if I am sure or not" I say and she frowns and groans.

"Whyyyy" she asks, sitting by my side and pouting.

"I really need Doctor Steph's permission for that. If she says you are alright and healthy, only then I am going to let you walk out of this house" I say and she huffs.

Just when she is about to protest, Ivan mindlinks me again. These days I am staying with Sienna more and working on my duties less.

"Witch Katherine is here again, Alpha"

I grit my teeth and stand up. I tell Sienna that I'll ask Doctor Stephanie and then let her know about the decision. And I make my way to the borders.

There is no freaking way I am going to let her in again. She has done enough. She wants my baby? My baby? She is soooo dead.

I reach the pack borders and I see her, still arguing with the patrol to let her in. Ivan bows to me and backs away, and then into the pack to carry on with his other works.

"What do you need Katherine?" I asked her again.

"Alpha Asher! You really don't know what your daughter is capable of doing! She can ruin the world if she sets her mind on it" Katherine says.

"If she wants to turn into that badass, I'll take care of it. I'll make sure that I am going to shower lots and lots of love on her so she won't go that route" I answer her and I am slowly starting to get irritated. Why cannot she give a proper answer?

"You don't understand. She can even end the lives of everyone with one finger flick" she says again. And I picture my Deedee doing it. Somehow, that picture doesn't fit.

Deedee is this little ball of happiness. Her innocent stares, laughs and giggles.. There is no way I have to believe that she is going to grow up and one day, have the thoughts of ending people altogether.

"You have to believe me, Alpha Asher. For years your pack and the coven had been allies. I wouldn't lie to you about something that I know" she says and I stay silent.

"You have to understand, Katherine. You are asking me to give you my daughter. My daughter. She is the only one I have right now and the one person who made sure I don't lose my hope. She is my strength. She is my little baby. There is no way in hell I am giving her to someone even if you say she is allergic to this world" I say, making her huff in anger and frustration.

"Your little daughter is-"

I don't hear another word as I get a whiff of Sienna's scent. What is she doing here when I asked her to stay home and take a rest.

"Say another word and watch me chop your tongue off" I hear her voice, so fierce that Katherine just stopped talking.

"And you must be.." she asks and looks at me.

"Does that even matter to you Miss I-know-everything-so-I-take-other-people's-babies?" Sienna says and Katherine is visibly hurt and angry.

Normally, I would have stopped this fight but Sienna seems so fierce and aggressive, I just want to stand and watch. It's been a while since I saw her this way.

"What matters is that you are still standing here when I said I am capable of chopping your tongue" Sienna growls, making Katherine flinch a little.

"You are crossing the line. You are not the Alpha" Katherine says and it's clear that she still doesn't know who Sienna is and what she means to me.

"No honey, I am warning you not to cross the line. Consequences are something you wouldn't even imagine coming" Sienna smirks dangerously.

Katherine looks at me and I shrug with a smirk too. She doesn't say anything as she turns around and walks away. Sienna finally shifts her focus from Katherine to me and she smiles.

"I should be angry with you but that was pretty entertaining and you are here all by yourself" I say, making her squeal, just by calculating what I am about to say next.

"Let's go greet Doctor Steph now" I say.

"But who is she, Asher? Why does she need our Deedee?" Sienna asks.

And all the way to the hospital, I tell her everything that has happened the past few days with Katherine and Deedee.

That is when it fascinated me again. She literally jumped into defending Deedee even when she didn't know what was happening. And she also just said she's our Deedee. OUR DEEDEE.
