THE DECEPTION HIT ME hard the following morning when I saw that the rest of my life didn’t turn out to be as great as I’d expected, unfortunately! That was what happened when expectations didn’t live up to reality, and disappointments came one after another.
The first person I had the pleasure to meet in my new office was Ian. He was the expert that my company had hired to be my advisor. I had to admit that the encounter with him was a total shock for my system.
Ian was a huge hunk of a dark-haired Irishman. His height would have competed only with his ego. He had plenty of that. Ian considered that he obviously knew everything better than I did and that meant that my little head might have exploded into millions of pieces if I’d tried to think for myself!
